My car doesn't reek of cigarettes anymore, just a faint smell. I tried not to smoke in it much anyways, so I'm hoping it will completely go away one day (probably once I get it detailed). My hangovers aren't as bad, I wake up and can breathe through my nose, my throat doesn't hurt, and that exteme in pleasant taste, that existed no matter if you brushed or not, is gone. My hands no longer smell HORRIBLE the morning after going out, nor do my clothes or pillows. I don't have to leave the bar and my friends to go smoke. I went to the dentist a week ago and they scraped all th stains off, and they haven't started coming back like they did in the past when I was a smoker.

Just listing the benefits encourages me to stay smoke free. I still think about going outside and smoking, but I rarely have the actual urge. I picture myself outside smoking, and remind myself I'm glad I quit. I hope everyone else finds this thread to be positive reinforcement.

I don't miss having to go outside to smoke and battling the wind to get it lit.
I don't miss my clothes stinking and my hair smelling of smoke.
I don't miss messing up my freshly painted nails trying to get a cig lit. :p
I don't miss having to roll the window down in the car even in the rain so the smoke goes out.
I don't miss staying in a hotel and the elevator ride so I can have that last one before sleeping.
I don't miss making sure there is a long enough layover when traveling so I have time to go out and have one then going through security again.
I don't miss much about smoking cigs.

I don't miss that nic fit when flights are delayed and travel time is extended.

I LOVE vaping!

Every single thing that Robino1 said here (except for the nails thing).

Once we get over the initial cost of starting up we will be saving several hundred dollars a month over ciggs and still several hundred over fake cigs. Vaping tastes better, I taste better, I smell better, I feel better and most importantly I have no urge and hardly any craving for a standard cigg, vaping always crushes those feelings even when i do, not to mention im more satisfied.

On the down side, I can smell people who smoke standards, it really is very nasty.

Here in canada a pack of my brand of cigs is 12 dollars. Im currently vaping for 7-10 dollars for an entire month. I dont stink, i can smell things, i can breathe better, i can use my vape at the bus stop or inside, i got sick only once in the year 2012 after three yrs vaping, my teeth are whiter, i save money and time on laundry, not worried about cancer. Just to name a few.

I'm saving a ton of money, my whitening toothpaste seems to be making a difference, I don't have to worry about the logistics of smoking in my car, I don't feel like I have to finish a cigarette just because I lighted one and don't want to waste it, I'm vaping in front of a nice warm fire instead of out in the cold, I can smell things, food tastes amazing, I don't stink, vaping tastes better than smoking and feels nicer on my lungs, and I'm not giving myself cancer!

My top ten:
1. I don't have the worry of 3rd hand smoke effects on my son or loved ones.
2. I feel like smoking was actually holding me back at work. I honestly feel that the people I worked for didn't want to send me to clients because I smoked
3. I lost lighters like a fiend. I have wasted months of my life looking for a lighter.
4. I smoked difficult to locate cigarettes... when I smoked. They were getting easier to find right before I quit, but they were still not available just anywhere.
5. I get more done. Instead of going outside multiple times a day I have to force myself to remember to take a break.
6. I haven't gained weight from quitting!
7. Cigarette butts and ashtrays are gross... really really gross.
8. There are a ton of really good flavors out there. I have a couple of favorites, but there are a ton that I want to try!
9. If you don't go hog wild, you can actually save money pretty much right from the beginning if you look at it one an amount spent per paycheck sort of thing. I have gotten a bunch of decent stuff and am still ahead money-wise.
10. and yeah, the smell. oh lord, the smell.

of course we already knew this stuff when we were smoking. we just didn't care.

i feel guilty for my 20 plus years of smoking. i hope i've stopped soon enough. traveling, dining, mating, entertaining the list goes on and on.

i still don't want to become a pretentious jerk for those that still smoke, i do show them my Reo though and tell them them its the real deal.

-When the elevator is on the fourth floor, I can just take the stairs
-There isn't dust everywhere in my apartment
-I can satisfy a nic fit with butterscotch
-DIY is fun
-When the weather gets warmer here, I can bring flowers home and actually smell them!
-I have more energy to play with my crazy cat
-When I went home for Christmas and asked my mother if she "smelled anything different" she almost started to cry with happiness and told me she already got her Christmas present.
-Prettier than any cigarette
-There's always something new to try
-No longer have to put a stinky .... in my pocket when I can't find a garbage can while walking down the sidewalk
-Can stealth vape at work when I want nicotine and don't have to get antsy waiting for a smoke break

... and this is just off the top of my head. There are so many reasons I don't miss cigarettes!
