i agree with the OP, for the most part
when i started
vaping over two years ago i did it because work banned cigarettes at work...ppl genuinely accepted me
vaping even at bars because even though i wear boot cut jeans, timberlands, have diamonds in my ears, i'm clean cut, usually have a button down or polo on and look relatively clean.....however i go back to the same bars now and they hate vapors, why? because vapors have becoming annoying, i hear from close friends that work there that the kids won't shut up about it and talk like they are experts, it's the smugness hipster vibe they give off that makes ppl mad
heck i wrote a blog article about it when i went to a food park thing in brooklyn and then a flea market in philadelphia and the ppl there made me sick with how they dressed like slobs and talked with their smug attitudes and that has nothing to do with
vaping, it's this new culuture of kids...and i'm in my 20's! my buddy made a comment about how it's cool to "these people are trust fund babies who dress this way because they never had anyone question anything they did because they had money"
i've also touched on how i'm not a fan of going to local b&m's because even if my weekend tshirt and jeans attire i am the cleanest looking person in the place, i couldn't picture either of my parents who don't smoke going in there and feeling comfortable when the customers look like they don't care about their health by how they present themselves, the employees are supposed to be trusted when they look worse than someone whos hungover?
it just reminds me of my teenage years when i used to ride BMX and most people thought we were trouble makers, the stereotype was right, most of us were trouble makers, stereotypes are what they are because they are mostly accurate, as a teenager we'd go to a local cafe that had punk bands play and even though i kind of fit in i could never blame people for judgeing them, they had no one to blame but themselves by the way they looked and acted
which leads me to feel this way, if someone saw a bunch of pbusrado's vaping somewhere they probably wouldn't say much or think as negative because he looks to be a clean guy, professional, and respectable in nature....then you see someone like rip tripper with his goofy beard, his spuratic voice, and know it all attitude not shutting up about the space invader coil he just built, what do you expect is going to happen!
overall if vapers are going cry and whine about being accepted and not hated on, then clean yourself up, dress nicer, and improve on your interaction skills
