Are you running it until the batteries die and the mod no longer works or are you just charging them because the battery indicator is telling you they are dead? You may be getting false readings.

When you install the fully charged cells, what does the mod tell you the voltages are when you turn it off and press & hold power & up buttons?

Yes. Was first thing I did when I got it.
maybe try and undo the update to a previous version and reinstall the 3.0 update.

there is also a small screw inside the battery bay (top left as you look into the bay) under a small foam plug, pull out that foam plug and try and tighten that screw, some of them have been a bit loose.

Will do. Thanks for your help. Also another thing that was kinda wierd is that the screen did not have any cover when I opened the box and the screen was already scratched. I thought it's normal becauce other device I bought earlier had scratches also but I read in this thread people talking about plastic cover on the screen. Should there be one?

Locking resistance is almost never required now and the need is getting rarer and rarer with new mods.
Start at room temp ("cold") and the mod stores the value in a register.

You should lock if... the mod requires it, you have a misbehaving atty (poor connectivity, drifting res but tight screws), or you want to remove a warm tank to refill it.

You should not switch attys without unlocking the res. If they're very near the same res... do whatever the hell you have to, to make the mod ask new/same, or cycle the power.
eta: rereading that part... do you mean swapping tanks but keeping both values running, for testing perhaps ? Sure, if the mod'll go for it, sounds workable. A couple of mine will.

OK so I just got an official email back from Wismec about the request for same or new coil. their exact words were....."Only when the resistance of the atomizer head you used now is lager than the previous ones, will it display same or new coil"

Now it makes sense the one build I have that has a slightly higher resistance than the rest gets locked into the device and any atty I put on it after is only lower resistance so the resistance keeps reverting back to the other. Its such a pain to correct, I have put on a coil with diff resistance and it reads it and even locks it but as soon as you press the fire button it goes right back to the other resistance. Even when I change modes and use it in tc mode then back to m1-3 it works with correct resistance and when I go back to m1-3 and push fire it goes right back again...sooo frustrating but at least I finally know how to get it TO CHANGE THE SELF-LOCKED RESISTANCE......I like that its a bit more idiot-proof this way but anyone think that this is a simple update type fix or not likely?

if your screen is flush with the surrounding mod, it DOES have the screen protector, its incredibly hard to see and remove. many have thought they didn't have one, only to find out later it was there ;)

I haven't seen an effective method to force the New/Same Q on all mods. so my best generic advice is to hit Fire a few times without a tank on, so it shows No Atty/Check Atty.
This usually clears the register of an unlocked slot. Usually.

Or it may bring up New/Same.

:D

Might just leave it on then, no reason not to at least in my case. I digress as I didn't pay attention to it if it did have one! As of right now it looks pretty smooth and fitted well so I might as well just let sleeping dogs lie.
