Had my rx200 for a couple months now and loved it. Now it wont fire I just get "check battery".

I Always charge batteries on my 4bay intellicharger but was tired and plugged it into my phone charger which ive done before with no issues.

My dog walks by and barely tips the mod over and now it wont work. Argggg!

Im using all new lg he4's...never had an issue before. Tried different matched pair ...same thing. I took the front bezel off to see if there was any shorts ... didnt see any shorts or damage. Popped bats back in and still "check battery". And the mod gets hot.

last update I did was 3.0.

so is the mod toast?
same because I really love the ergonomics/bat life of this mod.
Is a dna200 chip a drop in upgrade?
anything I can do?

Ouch, that's a bummer. Sounds like your dog wanted to make you a RX200 paperweight.

If its getting hot, I wouldn't use it, but I'm not an electronics expert.

Would be cheaper (and easier) to just pick up a new RX200 than trying to transplant a DNA200 into it. It is not a "drop in" operation necessarily. I saw an image tutorial on imgur, or reddit, or on imgur from reddit, and it doesn't look terrible if you have the tools, and skill necessary, it can be done. Main thing, other than reverse polarity, is the screen sizes are different. I guess you could try to just drop one in, but the screen would be cut off on the DNA200, and you would have no reverse battery protection.

sounds like the tip over caused a solder point to break off the board on one of the batter leads? could open it up and check for that.

Check the ground screw it might be loose. A lot of them came loose.

This sucks....all my mods suck compared to the rx200....but I dont want to buy another if they break this easy

mine died after being knocked over on the kitchen work top I haven't had a chance to take it apart yet too see whats wrong

So I finally got the Ti coil for my TFV4 & I'm loving it! Regular Ti mode seems to work well with this coil but I'm a fiddler! I know it's in this thread someware but I'm too lazy to go find it So what is a good starting point TCR for Ti?

TCR:
The factor by which the resistance of the object changes when changing its temperature is called the Temperature Coefficient of Resistance.
The Setting of TCR Mode:
In powered-off state, keep pressing the fire button and up button simultaneously, then you enter into the TCR set menu:
(1). Press the up or down button to choose among TCR M1, M2 and M3;
(2). Press the fire button to confirm the mode you chosen;
(3). Press the up or down button to increase or decrease the parameter according to the TCR of coil;
(4). Keep pressing the fire button or leave the interface for about 10 seconds to confirm.
Following is the TCR value range of RX200 for your reference:

I bought the cyan one to make the parts swap. Then I sold the black and cyan one lol. I do also have a solid black one as I love these things. It looks awesome with the black velocity and that tip.

while your in there swapping plates check to make sure the screen ribbon cable is not under the fire button. cant remember if it was the rx200 or the dna version that had that issue, but i remember one of them did.

Jeez thats a bummer about your RX. I dropped mine about 3' to the floor today and still working fine. I know there are some problems with the 510 pin. Mine barely moves.
