Ive done all the above nothing changed. Upgraded, downgraded and now I have the box broken down waiting for a new soldering iron to take the chip out and look at all the battery pad wires...cant wait!

Im vaping on the new one just fine, just not using the usb to charge, ever!...lol

I've been USB charging since I opened the mod on Dec25. Not a single issue, and the batteries are usually within 0.05 of each other.

Do you know what hardware and software version you have? With three absolutely perfectly identical batteries, there is no need for balance charging. The problem comes in that it is nearly impossible to have three perfectly identical batteries. Even three right off of the assembly line, one is going to be 20mah or more different than the other ones.

No big deal for a short number of times just charging serial. But the voltages will grow more and more unlike each other and here is where the problem comes in. When it gets bad enough you can destroy batteries and/or the mod itself. But as long as the battery voltages stay very close to the same, nothing to worry about yet.

I don't have a Windows machine handy, but I believe it is 1.04 on the latest firmware. Batteries were purchased at the same time LGHG2's.
Oh ok... My two are also hardware version 1.04 and I don't see the things that those with v1.00 had reported either. Although mine did really get warm chaining at lower wattage with either 1.07 and 1.08 firmware. It disappeared with 3.0 and 3.1 firmware.

I was and I'm still charging my batteries in an I4 intellicharger. I was using 3 new married lg h4s and I was using the 3.0 update when the box went bad. I started getting lazy and used the usb every other day over night for about a week when it happend.

The box was about a month old and was working fine untill I used the usb to charge the batteries...Thats when everything went up poo's creek. When it happend I fully charged the batterys in the I4, plugged the box to the pc and down graded, upgraded, cycled battey slots, and all the nonsense thats on youtube. Nothing worked! Hope this sums it all up....Im not the guy that pulled the 3 batteries out of other mods for his review, but I bet you his box is still working because he only uses an outside charger...lol [emoji111]

Is that 0.05 on the mod battery readout? It's nowhere near precise. The good thing is that the batteries are usually closer in charge than what the rx shows. Would be interesting to know what the batteries read on a dmm though. Do you have a digital multimeter?

I have plenty :)

Here are the charges in random order unless someone knows which cell correlates to what is on the screen:

(Fluke 87 IV DMM)

MOD: 3.93, 3.95, 3.91
DMM: 3.915, 3.942, 3.911

Looks like they are really close to me.
Yours are the closest I have ever seen. My two RX can be off by 0.11v from the real readings. As for numbering, well Wismec numbers the DNA200 batteries as back left is 1, back right is 3, and the one closest to the middle as 2.

Maybe it depends on the meter?

I do electrical stuff for a living so I usually have or have access to better tools than most do.

Personally I was surprised too that they were that close. The numbers were written in no particular order but do seem to correlate with each other. I have seen on the mod that you can check the battery and it will read 3.93 and do the same check again and it read 3.92.

Largest inaccuracy I see if they do match each other is 0.015. That is really good IMO.

Personally I have always charged my batteries via dedicated charger and check each battery with multimeter prior to inserting into any device. A simple habit to get into, have checked Rx200 at times and find it is only reading a point or to different...I'm happy:).
One thing that worries me though is talk of taking the risk of trying to fix problems with the board. This is ok for those that know what they are doing, but for those that don't....Don't! that includes myself. Thermal runaway with three batteries onboard! if things go wrong is a big worry, is it really worth taking the chance for a $40 item?:danger:

I would agree but if anyone is thinking about trying anyway - make sure you have a bucket of sand.....

I have the proper tools my brothers...breadboard, reg power supply, jumper wires and a pair of goggles like the science guy!

Trust me, I have done more dangerous things then taping into a neg ground on a board...I remember stacking batteries on mech mods which i think is a lil more dangerous. Thats another subject ...

Its all for the knowledge, just to feed the need to know inside of me....To go where no man has gone before, on the wismec board.
One step for man kind, and his broken Rx200....[emoji12]

Bye guys I'm off this...

So I ordered a white rx. My third one, my fourth Reuleaux when including my DNA 200. Reason: I was going to get a white front and back plate for one of my black ones, and thought that I might just as well order a whole mod as it would only cost me $30 (when subtracting the price of the separate front and back plates). The same sort of Finnish logic that states that if the beer is particularly cheap, the more you drink the more you save...
