Got a call from the place I bought analogs from today. The place wanted to give me a discount on my purchases for the next couple of months.
I told the lady, no thanks, I was now vaping. SHE KNEW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT.
So I guess the answer is yes since I had the opportunity to get the analogs cheaper.
Besides, I still got analogs in my freezer.

My cost analysis.

1 pack of Cigs = U$10.00

I used to smoke 3-4 packs a week = U$40.00 a week

I have spent U$110 for 2 x 510 started kits.
I have spent around U$200 (juice, PPC, carts) So in the last month I have spent close to U$310.00 which is a lot higher than what I would have spent on analogs. If the juice I already have (about 200ml) worth last me 2 months, then I would start breaking even if nothing else breaks.

I vape about 5-7ml a day which is equal to 20-28 days.

So in conclusion I think e-cigs are more expensive for me.

And I thought $5.00 a pack was bad. 5-7ml aday WOW! I cant figure out how much I using because Im switching flovors alot but its nowhere close to that. And I was closer to 10 packs aweek. Are you using low nic?

I definately would be vaping if the cost went up to the price of analogs, I feel so much better since switching to vaping.. The reason i went to vaping in the first place is i already have many health issues and i've tried to quit smoking and nothing worked.. I ordered a VX2 and from litecigUSA and never looked back, a few months later ordered a 510 from innovapor loving every min of it...

"Class A" smokes (Camel, etc) in NYC are $10/pack. I've seen some delis that are $12 and $13. Gas station $15. Insane. When people would ask me in NYC if I had a spare smoke, I'd say sure, got a dollar?

Goodness, that's everywhere in NYC? Sounds like they need to take a little road trip and stock up from somewhere else!

Wow, you're going to need a cigarette after paying those prices 'cause you're getting f#@&ed.

I've set a spending limit of exactly what I spend on cigarettes. Face it, if it wasn't for e-cigs I'd be exactly where I was before. Apparently I realy was a conscious consumer, since I only spent $90 a month. I tend to spend about $55 a month and $12 of that is shipping costs. The real trick is finding the right e-cig (that's expensive enough) and sticking with it. Finding a company you can get supplies and juice through is also a good idea since you only pay shipping to one company.

I wouldn't go back. 1) Because I like vaping more than I liked smoking. 2) They can't invent a menthol cigarette that tastes as crisp, clean, and satisfying as a good menthol vape. 3) Cigarettes only come with a red tip, no blue available. 4) Licorice, baby. Licorice. 5) If I never have the stink of cigarettes on my hands again it will be too soon.

P.S. If I'm saving $30-$40 bucks a month I won't feel guilty slurging on some e-cig product I don't really need.

As grateful as I am to the E-cig, for facilitating a complete switch from the, yes $10 packs (NYC it is true) of death , I would be greatly angered to know how badly I would be getting ripped off if current vape prices where to rise dramatically... Whether by an absurd rate of taxation to protect vested industries or by profiteering on addiction such drastic increases would heavily motivate me to gain similar freedom from usage as I sought from analogs. Health is the main issue but self respect is a great part of the satisfaction of the 'switch'.
In any event I am also a fast enamored enthusiast for all things Vape and am pleased to believe I get true Value/satisfaction for my dollars spent.
Here is to hoping our modern world culture, so capable of presenting us pleasing new alternatives, is not, as it currently appears, only more adept at
destroying them as quickly as they become possible.
Happy Vapes!

I have just ordered my first ecig went with the joye510 manual and I have done a rough estimate of how much it will cost me to vape and I have figured out that it will cost me more to vape then it did to smoke. I rolled my own smokes for the last year and it cost me roughly about $1.10 per pack to smoke analogs. However I really want to quit smoking and my friend marg has been vaping for over a month now and says its the way to go. Hope it works.

To paraphrase the Great and Mighty Oz, Not no way, not no how!

If had hit on my preferred PV's right from the start I'd be money ahead of the game right now. As it is, I spent quite a few $ finding what worked for me.

I'm currently working at reducing the nic level I use. Not really clear in my own mind why but I am. With that said, I may eventually quit vaping, might not; but I hope to never smoke another cig again. Cost in dollars be damned!

I would vape even if it cost more. After smoking analogs for over 40 years, I really needed some way to get off of them. Vaping has done it! I feel so much better and my smokers hack is gone. I don't ever want to go back to that. I have spent wwwwaaaayyyy to much on this new habit/hobby, but I didn't find this forum till after spending a lot on junk. Here I learned what to buy and where. I could have saved so much! Smoking was just something I just did without even thinking about it....vaping is pure fun! All the flavors! It tastes so good! I love it! ;)

I've spent a huge amount of money in start up costs on vaping. More than I would have spent on analogs in 6 months. But if it gets me away from burning tobacco and what it's done (and is doing) to my lungs, it's worth it.

So yeah, I expect to continue with e-cigs and get farther and farther away from analogs.

I was also doing the RYO but since the taxes went up a lot of people have switched over to pipe tobacco I wonder how healthy that actually is... I wonder if anyone knows what the nic content in that would be per analog?

I don't want to encourage anyone to go and raise the prices for e-cig products, but yes I would. I wanted the e-cig before I found out how cheap they are in the long run because I want to quit analogs for good.

I've been stuck in the habit of smoking and I hate everything about it. I hate the smell, the ashes, the cigarette butts, cleaning ashtray and having to scrub the smell off of my hands so no one smells it. Then they doubled the price of them and I can't believe how much I've been spending on a habit I HATE!

AMEN! I tried all the NRT and nothing but e-cigs worked! Not even having a house fire caused by a cigarette I thought was out & put in a trash can. My health has greatly improved in just 6 weeks of vaping. Yes I have spent a lot of upfront $ to get started but now all I will need is to keep vaping is juice and occasionally more spare parts.

Trapped within my imagination
I had smoked 2+ pcks a day..... especially when up all night with insomnia... If ecigs/juice were more then that...I'd continue.... But trust me.. I'd be resourceful..I'd find a supplier in desperate want of custom faux/murals/canvas's and barter for equipment/juice/recipies lmao

I've combined two hobbies, smoking and gadgets. So I've already spent a lot more... and that's more than $10(ish) I was spending on a pack a day over here.

I've always hated smoking anyway, I was just addicted. Now I've found something I like more that it, you'll find me selling my gran on ebay to fund e-cigs before I went back.
