Oh I get it, :)
My thoughts on the external batteries are that even if they ban PV's it's unlikely that they will ban the batteries because they are commonly used in flashlights. I too prefer having VV and/or VW, I really really like my itazte. I would get a VTR if they weren't so huge , but who knows I may anyway, I like the Innokin products very much.
I prefer a regulated device to one that is unregulated, I hear you about keeping the batteries straight and I think when I get more I will have to have a system of storage that will take care of that, for now I only have two for each and they are different sizes so it's pretty easy to keep straight. I have always had a problem losing things so I absolutely had to start putting things in the same place every time, that doesn't equate to organized or neat, I am neither. I am thinking two differently colored boxes, one for charged and one for needing to be charged, but for now on the shelf of the hutch over my computer desk for charged and on the desk itself for needing to be charged works. Of course on the desk itself only works for very short periods of time or they will get buried under the clutter. :)

I'm happy that your wrists are healing well. :)

I hear where you're coming from; I started with both an itasteVW and a couple of mech mods. I stopped using the mechs fairly quickly, for a couple of reasons.

First, I didn't get as consistent a vape from the mechs (probably because they were cheap FT mods). Getting a consistent connection to the battery seemed to be a problem. Hated taking a long drag and getting nothing!

Also, I found it very hard to keep track of which batts were charged, and which weren't. But that's mostly because I am very disorganized (and a friend of mine gave me a case of 100 18650's, long story). Had he only given me 3 I would probably have been better off.

Also, the ITaste's will work as passthrus, so even if the battery does die, I still hope I can use it as a VW device. If not, I'll open it up and try to replace the internal batteries, or use the parts for a custom mod (well, I can dream, can't I?) I did also get a bunch of VV passthrus from FT, so even if e-cigs become hard to get, I think i'll still be OK.

I don't think these are really less "sustainable" than external batteries (which also wear out). The batteries are the only piece that's particularly environmentally-unfriendly.

Not criticising at all, by the way, I'm just in chatty mode (having been deprived for the last 2 months!)

good afternoon! I hope you all have a great day today!

As promised, I will tell you my foolish mistake of the week, so my back was out, I ran out of aleve and just about everything else except I had pain killers from the hospital from about 8 months ago, I never take them but I don't throw them away for emergencies, this was an emergency. I never took this strength before, actually I didn't notice the strength, I didn't think about it. I just cut the pill in half as I have in the past when the pain was too much. (the past being before 8 months ago, had a different script).

I took the half pill and was chatting with all of you when suddenly I felt really ill. I mean sick! It was all I could do but to type good night at the time. It got progressively worse, It was like I was nauseous, sweating, my head felt like it would expand, I had to lay down and call my roommate on the phone to tell him I was this sick, It lasted for 3 hours. but my back was getting better, so, I took the other half and went through it all again needless to say I did not sleep. I had to find a way to get my back better because I could not sit in a chair it was that bad. I don't know why I suffered so bad it was just a vicodin and I took halfs not full strength. I used to take them when I was younger, after my back surgery for about a week. Never experienced anything like that!I even checked the pills with the pharmacist afterwards to see if maybe I mixed them up, nope! I have become a wimp! I can't take the simplest medicines. At least I am able to sit up for short periods now. Still not fixed. Got the Aleve, but it isn't taking away enough pain and I don't have other meds to fix it. THe insurance doesn't kick in till February 1st. I will have to go to the hospital, (meet deductible, only $500) then make appointments.

Well, I survived but those went in the toilet, way too much medicine for me or not the right kind. It makes me mad that they don't sell Tylenol with very small amounts of Codeine for back pain. I used to get it in the Bahamas over the counter when I travelled so much. it worked and was cheap.

Only good thing is I was forced to vape more than smoke since I was in bed. I still had a quick cig, but always the fear of burning in bed I put it out after 2-3 drags. I need to find a really good anti-inflammatory, one that works to eliminate pain without all the evil side effects they tell you about on TV. I will get them just because I am so sensitive, SOme of the safest ones I've taken make me itch.Maybe go old school and take steroidal drugs for pain.

I am vaping on my Itaste VV v3 right now, vaping Kingpin and later will switch to RY4

What are you all vaping today??????????

Apparently you have a problem with Vicoden, you might want to mention that to the doctors when you do go so they prescribe something different.

I'm vaping my usual repertoire of Itazte VV V3 with Grandma's Cinnamon Danish in an Aspire ET-S, SID with Snickerdoodle Cookie in and Aspire, ProVari with Creme Brulee and Zen in a Trident clone, and Ego c twist with a frankenvape mix of my own in the Vision Eternity. I will probably mix a few things later on with some CB or Custard's Last Stand, like Chai Tea or Red Drop, or who knows what out of my stash. LOL . My frankenvape is a combo of white cake, brown sugar, butter rum and caramel candy from MBV, I'll probably vape a little H1N1 at some point too. Ridiculous what it takes to keep me off the cigs. LOL

Mark, tell me what kind of cheap batteries you liked from Fasttech, the 3 cheap ones I did get all died on me after a month or so. I like getting one cheap thing a month. a clearo or something.

I thought Mechanical Mods would hit like egos if not sub-ohm I like the way they look, I like that there is less to break, (or at least I thought less to break) I don't think I can use my pinky to press a button, but I thought I might want one someday. To fill my mod holder of course. Not right away, but later.

Oh my, Karen! I'm so sorry to hear about your back and med problems. :( It seems odd to have such a reaction to a medication you've taken in the past, but the human body is a complicated machine, especially when it's malfunctioning. :?: I hope you start feeling much better very soon. We miss you when you're not here.

It's great to see you back, Mark, and especially great to know that your wrists are healing. I missed your sense of humor. :)

I'm back to vaping my Deadly Sin and Banana Banyan. They seem to have become my daily staples. :vapor:

My mech hits about as good as an ego, no more no less. I have an 18350. It's sort of "meh" for me. When I use it I like it, but it's just not my go-to device. It's a modular hybrid, so I plan on getting a 510 adapter for it so I can use other toppers on it.

Did you take it with food or a glass of milk? I get violently ill if I take it on an empty stomach.

Sounds like you found a lot of ADV's I am glad they all work for you! Caramel Candy from MBV is the bomb! I haven't tried any of the others. Ihave 1 extra flavor shot in mine, I always wondered if you get 3 extra flavor shots, get 36 mg nic, can you cut that with vg in half and stll get enough flavor and nic?, it would save money!

yes, no more Vicodine, I will make sure Dr's know, Tylenol 3 is my friend, I never tried anything else but now, I would be afraid to. I took Tylenol 3 for tooth pain a few times with no problem, but you can't get it anymore Dr's won't give it. ok with me just find something for all the pain, I'm happy

no milk, I didn't eat with it, but I did have something within the hour before. So, apparently, I am not the only one. I am amazed people take it for recreational use! It's horrible!

Hey Thaya, what did you think of Capt Ron?

I tried it after it steeped for about a week. I like the banana in it, but the tobacco tasted 'grassy'. It's been steeping for a while longer now and I plan to try it again soon. If that grassy taste mellows out I'm sure I'll love it. Which of their other flavors do you recommend? I'm okay with a tobacco taste that's more on the sweet side without tasting like a cigar in any way.

Karen,

I should say at the start that the extra batts I buy are mostly to convert others. My daughter and her fiancee have both been doing very well with a pair of the Ego-T batts from FT. I have bought those in the 10-pack and also the non-vv ones, and I like having extras around. For myself I have the MVP's, a couple of ego-t's and of course passthrus so I never get desperate. For me, cartos are more of an issue (even though I buy them 30 or so at a time) since the used ones pile up waiting for the ultrasonic cleaner.

Longevity of the FT batts can be an issue for the cheap ones; I have a friend who has broken 6 of these (although she swears that she treats them nicely):
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1392601

But at less than $5 each, how can you argue?

I've had good luck with these ones:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1460000

(That's the 10-pack, they do sell the singles....)

As far as the mech mods go, it really does seem to be about quality. If they don't make good contact (between the battery, switch, adapter) they won't hit well. Although I need to go back and try them again; I think a lot of the problems I had were related to the fact that some of the FT heads don't fit well to mods or batts (which is why I buy lots of the ego->510 adapters). I really should give the mechs another shot now that I'm further up the curve.

By the way, some mechs have side-buttons (and you can always use a 2-handed approach, and press the button with your other index finger!)

I like them all ROOB but they really get awesome after 2-3 weeks. I have some that are 2 months old and they are amazing. Not all of their tobaccos have that grassy flavor. I don't like that much either. If you really don't like the Capt Ron after a good steep, stay away from the Duke and Eastwood--they use the same tobacco base.

BUT, I'm actually really loving their Express and RY. No grassy notes, but good tobacco flavor enhanced by vanilla/caramel. I think the RY might be similar to your Deadly Sin--I still need to get some of that to compare them. You might also like Five Bucks--while it's not a tobacco, it's a rich caramel macchiato. I think I've tried about 6 or 7 (maybe more?) of their flavors. Right now I have 5 in rotation...

Some of the mechs out now look so cool and are so inexpensive it makes me want to try one. I don't have any protected batteries so I'd have to get some of those, too. But the mod that's been on my radar for some time now is the MVP 2. I think I'd like a box mod and that would be the one I'd go for.

Today is Jason's birthday. He would have been 40 today. *sigh*

WOW, I didn't realize how young he was. I'm so sorry for your loss, but hopefully you have enough good memories to keep him alive in your heart. Know that he's still with you even if you can't see him. (((hugs)))

I always miss being here! It's like missing a party, so what if it's a party everyday!
