If its leaking out of the AFC then its just a wicking issue. I got my wicks so they sit on top of the juice channels and a small amount that just goes into the channel like | | this far. Absolutely no leaks and can max the istick 50w with no burnt hits. The goblin rocks. Only other place is the fill screw it did for me a bit then I just tightened the screw a bit more and that has stopped. Some say they have used a small o ring out of a bic lighter I believe for the fill screw.

For the most part, wicking is the key to most leaking issues with the Goblin. Master the wick and you will have no leaks.

When I first had mine I learned that if you are having leaks you may need to have more wick. When I mean "more wick" I mean the length of the wick and not the thickness/girth. Get those right and IMO you will reduce your leaking issues. I also would say that this will reduce dry hits as well.

Take your time get the coiling and wicking right and you will see how well this atty will preforms. At this time I'm vaping a high VG (80%) and with my vape preference I can take it all the way up to 35-45watts on a dual 28g 7wrap 2.4mm bit at .5ohms all day long but I take it down to 25-30w. That's my sweet spot for this build.

Hope this helps.:)

Note: Have had no leaks from "fill hole" or "510 pin insulator". Knock on wood!!!!

The fill screw leaks being reported are troubling as I've used all sorts of juices in mine for weeks in a row, and never had a drop come out of that fill hole, honestly I think it it must be a defect in the machining, that fill hole should be completely sealed with the screw in. The tank is advertised as being leak-free, and that fill hole definitely should not leak at all. You might get a leaky afc if your wicking is bad, or a little condensation from heavy use, that could certainly appear to be a leak from the fill hole, but that can be corrected and should be expected with any tank. If your fill hole really leaks then ask for an rma imo, or try an oring. A tank that dumps juice onto your mod is not cool.

Leaking from the fill screw is likely a manufacturing defect. I find that my tank only leaks while filling if I overfill it. When I fill the tank, I close the air vents and I put a finger on the opening of the drip tip to cover it completely to maintain the air pressure within. The air pressure helps to keep the juice from gushing into the inner chamber. I use a syringe to fill the tank and I fill it slowly. The 5ml tank really takes about 4ml in my experience. I fill it just until I see the juice reach the upper section where the glass tank meets the metal at the base of the tank. I only got leaking from the drip tip twice and both times I had overfilled it due to my impatience.

I'm considering trashing all my other tanks and drippers, save a couple for juice tasting. The Goblin is so good that I will order another one and cross my fingers that it has none of the issues reported here. I believe I have found the holy grail of RTAs. The flavor is fantastic and the performance of the Goblin is stellar, as has already been mentioned by many here. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Question -

Some online vendors are currently selling the v1.2 and others are selling a v2 goblin. Are these the same model and just labeled differently, or are they different revisions. If they are different revisions what are the pros and/or cons?

They are the same. Some vendors are just listing them differently. The 1.2 or v2 includes the extended glass and chimney section, and better post hole screws. That should be the only version available for purchase right now.

AFAIK all the v1s were gone back in January.

So the V1.2 includes the higher capacity tank and chimney? If so, that makes it even more attractive.

I've been using the Goblin with two contact coils, 0.5ohms, 26 gauge kanthal, wrapped using a 7/64 bit. Rayon was used as the wick. It's been used the with Sigelei 150 mainly at 35watts (roughly 4.2volts). I've been able to take it up to 50, but only for a 2 second draw. It still wicked fine at 50 for consecutive draws.

I kept track of my use over a two week period and found I did roughly 20 fills. I didn't completely fill every time, so lets say I did 2.5ml every time, giving me about about 50mls through this wick. I vaped Velvet Cloud Vapors unflavored 6mg liquid. I know this isn't a great comparison to others since not everyone vapes unflavored, but I want to post the results of 50ml through the Goblin on one wick.

The coil no doubt shows darkening, but the wicks are still very white. I know the flash makes it look even whiter, but I wanted to show the coil condition as well. The wicks show no scorching, just a little discoloration.

I think rayon is a very good option for this tank. Since you mainly be using contact coils due to the space on the deck, the rayon can keep up very well with heavy use on the contact coil. The wicks are kept short, similar to Trevor Jones tutorial. This wicking style works extremely well, I haven't had a single dry hit or any leaking when on its side or any leaking when filling. No juice spits upward either.

Here's a picture of the new wick in the tank, I actually went a little lighter on the rayon density this time, but the form is still the same.

I also want to add the vapor production is excellent and the vape is very smooth.

i had vape raspberry lemonade 6 nic with a similar build, but with cotton bacon and got the same results. i think it has a lot to do with that its a really clear liquid. it just allows wick and coil to stay really clean for a long period of time of some reason.

I'm a big rayon fan myself. I use it in all my attys, apart from the Rose. I've used all juices from light to very dark, I honestly think rayon is the best wicking material currently available. Even with the real thick, dark, coil gunking liquids - I can pull the wick, rinse it under the tap and it looks like new :)

I see you do a similar build to the one that I use on the Goblin too.

So my fill screw does leak. Always liquid when I took the tank off under there. I put a small piece of clear gorilla glue tape over the screw and it stopped the mess but u can see the liquid sitting in the screw head. The tape works great though for a quick fix

I think the leaky fill screw has a lot to do with the filling itself, aside from the getting the wicking right. When I first filled the Goblin I had a lot of back flow on the bottom of the atomizer, that along with a wet screw caused the ring of liquid on the bottom. I would wipe it down after I put the screw back in too. I've been taking the fills slower, all the liquid going in the tank lol, also making sure the screw was pretty dry. I haven't had any liquid on the bottom of the atomizer since I've been doing the fills more carefully.
