I used my 28gauge and did roughly 8 or 9 wraps (I lost count using my coil jig..) but my build came out to ~0.8 ohms, I imagine if you use 30 or 32 or twisted 30, something along those lines you could get a higher build.
I keep trying to get my wicking down but so far with all my wicking attempts on my dual 28 guage ~0.8 ohms I run around 26-30W
Im using 26g and 0.4Ω 7.5w 2mm and running 34 watts.
Its probably good 30-37 watts less and longer to get going and more perhaps getting a tad hot.

i drove into work today (usually train) and got my real first sit down session with goblin for an hour..
i still have my 26g 9-10 wrap on 2mm coil and it's stayed at 0.6ohms on my ipv2s
the flavour is decent.. on my subtank mini the same juice was MUCH Sweeter like candy.. on the goblin it's more subtle.. Everyone seems to vaping at 25w+.. i'll bump it up as right now i am at 20w... i don't like my vape too hot so i'll give it a shot and see how it goes.
i will go out and buy a 28g wire once this spindle has depleted a little and see if i can get closer to 0.8-1.0ohm..
yah my version has "Goblin" in gothic type font on the chimney .. looks nice through the juice ; >

Got mine today. Was super stoked. Built an 8 wrap 26g and started to look for a proper tip. Oh, this one doesn't fit. Oh well. lets try another one. No, this one neither... After going through all my tips I finally found one tip that actually fit luckily being my wide bore delrin dripper tip which fits this atty perfect. Oh well, let's adjust the airholes I thought. ...??? One side had around 3 mm wide hole while the other side was 1mm to 1.5mm smaller. Took a vape or two - barely any flavor. Took the atty out and what do you know. My 80/20 juice had leaked because of no o-ring in the fill hole. Came here and saw people buying lighters to get an o-ring to their fill hole. (smh) At this point I'm thinking how low vapers sink when chasing that perfect vape.
Good concept. Terrible execution. More than likely UD has outsourced the production to meet the demand they had problem dealing with and of course without any or just extremely poor QC. Now wheres my drill bits and that Kaifun I used to love....

No o-ring is no problem, just take a little paper towel and dry out down the fill port and the screw itself after filling. Works fine for both of my Goblins that were previously leaking out the fillport, tried o-ring on one, but it got tore up quickly and I found drying the fill port completely to work much better.

You're the first poster I've read suggesting that standard drip tips don't fit. I've seen at least one other saying that their air flow holes are out of alignment. Quite a few of us have leaks from the fill hole. Others have complained about QC. The first release had issues with the deck screws.
If you're not even getting a good vape, then there's no incentive to stay with the Goblin.
Essentially, I agree with what you say - good concept, poor execution. Leaking fill hole is a deal breaker, cos it could trash your mod. I'm still fighting this one and hope the orings I have on order will sort it.
Yeah these complaints seem to indicate the quality control on these is pretty horrendous which is a damn shame, mine still hasn't leaked a drop and I haven't been able to put it down for a month and unfortunately I have just about zero faith in the replacements from vape companies as even reputable companies have only ever sent me "replacements" that were even more defective - I swear their "defect" and "replacement" stock are one and the same lol... that's been my experience anyways but I'd still give it a shot.
For what it's worth my flavor was muted on the first couple builds I did too, 2.5mm coils took it to a superb level.

I'm still looking for an oring solution, have 2 sizes on order. But I worry about orings tearing up. The fill hole and screw are a poor design anyway, and I can't see an oring lasting long. But I reckon if an oring lasts 20 fills, then that's better than the 2 fills or so I get with heat shrink tubing.
Can I ask - do you know the size of oring you tried? And how did you need to tighten it? Did you need to really torque it down, or did you just need to tighten it "just so" until it engaged? How long did it last?
The o-ring I used was too big for it, when I tightened it down it tore into place basically. Because of that it was tore up from the start, and pieces come of into the tank, so I just scrapped it.

I did the same thing. I just put the cotton in after the barrel in on works great
i just used a piece of clear tape. wrap the fill screw one layer thick. screwed it in, then took it out, cut off the excess. its been good since then.
?? i wonder if the fill plug from the lemo would work?plus it would keep the atty from rubbing on my mod and scratching it up..

no, because i had tape on hand, but im sure it would work with out any problem.
I'm pretty sure someone posted they tried it some pages back. It works but has to be re-wrapped every few fills.
