Buzz, why the 14650.....If your going for stealthy, why not a 16340 or an 18350. Is the 14650 a better battery?

Well it is a 940Mah batt , it is thinner ( for the look ) but packs a good capacity for the size , mainly it is for the LOOK , a 16340 is 600 Mah ( IN reality ) these are 940 MAh ( testing them now ) so it should last all day . a 18350 will be FAT and that Is not the ,market we are after.

WTF Mike, are those real fossils in that background slab? Your kitchen? You surely don't have a high $$ slab of rock at the shop do you?
I know, don't call you Shirley

Yes but it is in my house ( kitchen counter )
I got it pretty cheap !
it is 300 Mil yr old Morrocan marble with fossils in it . Aminites?? ( spelling ? ) and some others

Great looking woody ~
Glad you went with 14650 (even though I have a bunch of 14500) for the extra mAh ~
Don't let him fool you Charlie, that's not his house, it's Casa de Buzz, his beautiful hillside home :) ~

Thanks Wharf ! I did design around the battery 1,000 MAH is hard to pass up man !

I think the e-power 14650 (in your picture) is a good intermediate size to use as a reference.. Is your design going to have a separate switch unit? The switch on the e-power is not so good. A bottom cap?

IMO, the more like the Buzz-pro the better.

Which 14650 batteries are you testing? The Powerizers in the BP are great. Same mfg?

We looked at using the Epower tubes but I would have had to redesign it anyhow so I chose to design my own , I have a large Ecig MFG in China making samples form me now .

It will be a BOOSTED regulator , I have the test bed sitting on my bench right now under test , I have new PCB assemblies being made to fit the tube design , so I hope it comes together fast ???? never does LOL.
I got some 14650 from the same supplier as the powerizers and they are a TRUE 940mah !

I would love a battery meter. Even if it were a triple click of the button and the LED would flash from 1 to 5 times dependent on charge. I've picked up a low eGo before and headed into work, only to find out an hour later that it was dead. Having a quick status check would be a great addition to any PV.

So far, as far as looks, I would offer a chrome end cap that has a recessed 510 connection (flat top) IMO it will look much nicer when using a tank and having it nice and flush with cap. :)

If you look under the cap there is not alot of room. Recessed would probably require a longer tube. That would mean all the tubes for all caps would be longer as Im sure mike is not going to manufacture different tubes for different caps.

The only alternative would be a taller cap that didnt sink in any further than the current ones.

That is exactly WHY we do not recess the 510 ! also we use the same small parts on ALL top caps nor Buzz Pro IPro etc. this keeps things simple and lowers the cost over all .
