Hello Everybody!

I'm back to vaping! The price of vapes have went down, and the vapes have gotten better! It was the JUUL that got me to quit smoking for awhile. It's too expensive and leaky pods. I vaped 5% nic salt before they had less nicotine pods. I recently tried a Puff Bar style of vapes and the VUSE alto and vaping greating got better.

Hey there!

Hey there,

New member wanting to introduce myself. Fairly new to vaping, completely new to this community. I hail from the Netherlands and my collection currently contains two Aegis mods (a Solo with Nautilus GT mini and an X with a Asgard Mini) and a Dovpo MVV 2 with the Dead Rabbit v2 RDA. I'm currently waiting for an Abyss to be delivered and in the next few weeks I hope to acquire a Ohmwerks, as well as a Mad Beard Onegin M. Both of which are mech squonkers. The vapelife got me good as I've also started building coils ;) I hope to have some nice conversations and to learn a lot. Cheers!

Biden Admin Mulling Massing Changes to Cigarettes

How do you think this will affect vape regulation?

  • Positively: the government is finally seeing vaping as a harm reduction strategy

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • Negatively: this is just phase one from an out-of-control Nanny State

    Votes: 2 100.0%

The Biden Administration is apparently considering requiring tobacco companies to cut the nicotine levels in cigarettes to "nonaddictive or minimally addictive levels." But that's not all. Menthol cigarettes will be banned as well.

There's a lot of misinformation and speculation about the plans and how they might affect vaping regulation. What's your take?

Specifications
Material: PCTG, aluminum alloy
Product size: Ø18.5x86.5mm
Battery capacity: 520mAh
Pod capacity: 2.Oml
Resistance range: 1.0Ω ~ 1.5Ω
Refil: Side
Color range: Purple Dream, Lime Green, Cherry Pink, Red, Green, Gun Metal, Black.

Univapo Kipo MTL Pod Kit 4.jpg

First impressions:
Kipo Pod despite being a "starter kit" has a fairly rich package, with two different MTL cartridges (1.0Ω and 1.3Ω), a sturdy metal lanyard with silicone collar and a type-C cable that promises through a 2A port a great speed of recharging (20 minutes declared).

Univapo Kipo Pod made of CNC machined aluminum alloy, is clearly inspired by the mech mod devices, confirmed by the tube shape and the activation button at the bottom. The form factor with the pod installed is also reminiscent of a bullet, thanks to the CNC machined spiral texture.

Kipo really feels ultra portable and comfortable, but also sturdy! I dropped it a couple of times without showing the slightest scratch. Kipo is therefore a small 520mAh device with a very original design that also offers the possibility of a convenient automatic puff. Through the notification LED it will be possible to monitor the battery charge level and the operating status.
Ultimately a beautiful "Mech Style" object but with all the safety features offered by an electronic circuit.

Univapo (whom I thank) sent me three different colors of Kipo Pod, all pleasant and with different finishes (gold or silver) really very elegant.

Univapo Kipo MTL Pod Kit 5.jpg

At the base of kipo Pod there is a metal ring with a smooth silver or gold finish, the ring includes the signaling led obtained inside the last letter of the word "Kipo" (O). Opposite to the led we find the USB-C 2A charging socket together with the wording "Univapo Made in China".

Inside the compartment / pod are two circular-shaped magnets, the sensor for the automatic puff, two gold-plated and spring-loaded contact pins.
As on some "Mech" tubes the Fire button is located on the bottom of the device, I really like this idea! The key is rightly contrasted with a good return into place with each press.

Univapo Kipo MTL Pod Kit 6.jpg

Pod / Coil:
The replacement cartridges are sold in a pack of 3 pieces, on the bottom of the cartridge it is possible to identify them as their resistive value is indicated.

Univapo Kipo MTL Pod Kit 7.jpg

The cartridge holds up to 2ml of e-liquid and is built in dark PCTG, but nevertheless offers good internal visibility. The refill is of the lateral type, protected by the classic silicone rubber.

Univapo Kipo MTL Pod Kit 8.jpg

Operation Guide:
* The circuit works in bypass mode and automatically recognizes the resistance contained in the installed pod providing the optimal power for vaping.

Through the fire button it is possible to perform some operations.
- Power on / off: Press the button 5 times in a row.
- Lock / Unlock: Press the button 3 times in a row, the green light will flash 3 times.

Battery status indicator:
During the vape, the LED light will indicate the battery charge status.
- High: During operation and after stopping the vape the light is Green for 2 seconds.
- Medium: During operation and after stopping the vape the light is Blue for 2 seconds.
- Low: During operation and after stopping the vape the light is Red for 2 seconds.

Protections and notifications:
- Protection from overtime: (Cut Off) after 10 consecutive seconds of vaping.
- Low voltage protection: The red light will flash 8 times.
- Overcharge Protection: The blue light will flash 3 times.
- Open circuit protection: The blue light will flash 3 times.

USB Type-C Fast Charging:
The indicator light is red when charging and when the battery is fully charged, the indicator is off.
Via the type-c charging port with a speed of 2A it is actually possible to fully recharge the lithium battery in about 20 minutes!

Univapo Kipo MTL Pod Kit 9.JPG

Vaping test:
Definitely one of the best MTL / PODs I have tried, the Puff with the 1.3Ω resistance is restricted in the correct way, the aroma comes out well with both resistances, Hit and flavor are present and balanced even with low nicotine concentrate and the consumption of liquid is very limited. If the Kipo were a car I could say that it delivers maximum performance with the lowest possible fuel consumption.
With a full charge cycle (20 minutes) you can vape from 4 to 5ml of e-liquid. Dispensing via the button seems slightly stronger, however the automatic puff also behaves well and has not created any problems for me.

Highlight:
- Mech Style Aesthetics
- Attractive color range
- Comfortable size
- Robust
- Double activation of the puff
- Silent suction
- No e-liquid loss
- Aromatic performance and low e-liquid consumption
- Good transparency of the pod
- Charging speed
- Convenient price

Thanks for reading.

Frustrating tank issue. Maybe suggest a new one.

So I've been using the Uwell Crown 4 for a while now. I like it but the problem I have is the juice collects in the drip tip to the extent that I have to wipe it clean very frequently otherwise I get juice in my mouth. I have had numerous crown 4s and they all do it.
Recently I bought the Valyrian 2 to try out. It doesn't do it as much as the Crown but definitely still does. I don't like that tank for other reasons, though.

So I guess I'd like some advice on finding a replacement tank if yall know of a good one that doesn't have this issue.

Oh, I use 60% VG. I used to use 50/50 but switched because I thought that may help this problem, but it didn't.

Just looking for some advice here if maybe there is a solution to this or if you'd recommend a different tank.
Thanks in advance!

GEEKVAPE Z MAX SUB-OHM TANK REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello again folks and welcome back for today's review of the latest sub-ohm tank from Geekvape. The Z Max tank measures 26mm at the base and holds 4ml of liquid in it's bubble glass of which 2 were included in my sample package, I don't know if the retail version will include 2 bubble glass though, you will probably receive a 2 ml straight glass as well as the bubble glass . The Z Max uses the new M series of coils that are quite larger than their previous sub-ohm coils. Before my review lets have a look at some information on the Z Max.

COLOR CHOICES

PARAMETERS AND TANK BREAKDOWN

Size: 32* 55.85mm
Capacity: 4ml/2ml
Resistance: 0.14Ω M Coil (pre-installed, 60-80W)
0.2Ω M Coil(70-85W)
Drip tip: 810 drip tip

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The tank that I received was a sample version and some items might be different with the retail version.

20210424_131725.jpg

In the small box below the tank are a extra drip tip, extra 4ml bubble glass, 0.2Ω triple mesh coil rated for between 70-85 watts, spare o rings, owners manual and warranty card.

20210424_133242.jpg

After I washed the tank I assembled the pieces for you to see starting from left to right with the top cap and drip tip, 0.14 coil that is pre installed, barrel chamber with airflow ring attached, 4ml bubble glass and base.

20210425_095734.jpg

The 0.14Ω pre installed M coil is a tightly woven mesh rated for between 60-80 watts, the triple mesh 0.2Ω coil is rated for 70-85 watts. Trying to get a good photo of the triple coil for you was very hard because of the metal base the coils sit in that is recessed in the main coil itself, but I did get a good shot of the single 0.14 coil.

20210502_064308.jpg

This is a top air tank that has 2 large slots on each side of the tank and uses a airflow control ring that has a hard stop on both sides with just the right amount of resistance as to not come off it's setting easily. The Geekvape name is etched into the metal of the control ring on both sides. You are able to remove the airflow control ring when cleaning the tank, you are able to see the hard stop to the bottom left of the airflow slot.

20210430_150112.jpg

Geekvape made filling the Z Max tank easy by using a quarter turn to open and close, one of the locking stop tabs are shown on the inner airflow tube of the barrel chamber as well as the 2 cutouts on the top cap. The top cap secures very well and also has some knurling to assist you.

20210501_132935.jpg

The 2 fill ports are very large and are able to receive large bottle tips or dropper tips easily.

20210501_132703.jpg

The juice delivery ports are nice and large square cutouts located on each side of the barrel chamber allowing plenty of juice to reach the coil . I have never received a dry hit even chain vaping the Z Max.

20210501_172039.jpg

As far as the Z Max dimensions goes I'm very happy with it's size even though the bubble glass really widens the tank from it's 26mm base to 32mm at the center of the bubble glass but it keeps it relatively short. The appearance of the tank is bold and attractive even keeping the Zeus image on the chamber.

Even the 810 drip tip evens out the Z's look and is also the right size in height, I really don't like low profile drip tips and kept the stock one on while testing the Z Max.

I was sent the gold color version and thought I might have a bit of a problem matching a mod with it but going through my collection of devices I came across a device that had gold accents on it but it just didn't feel right until I remembered the Geekvape Aegis X that I have.

After screwing on the Z Max to the Aegis X I new I had a match especially after changing the color of the display screen.

20210501_104124.jpg

USING THE Z MAX

I started out with the pre installed 0.14Ω new M series mesh coil slightly under the recommended starting wattage of 60w, this is something that I always do with drop in coils to bed them in first. The flavor wasn't quite there after 1 tankful so I increased to 65w and the flavor improved some.

Slowly making small adjustments I came to a sweet spot of 72 watts, The flavor was good and airflow was a RDL a little on the airier side. Airflow is super smooth with no turbulence or whistle sound. After vaping the single coil for a few tanks it was time to try the new M triple mesh 0.2Ω coil out.

The 0.2Ω coil is rated at 70-85 and I began the bedding process at 67w with very good flavor coming through right away even below the minimum wattage recommendation of 70w.

After the first tankful I began increasing slowly and found out my sweet spot was actually at the minimum recommended wattage of 70 watts. The new M triple coil just kept getting better and better flavor, the triple coil has great flavor and edges out the single coil by a large margin.

Changing the wattage settings reduced some notes in the juice I used but increased other notes so if I want a little change I just begin bumping up the wattage.

I also get plenty of warmth from both coils but the triple gives a bit more than the single. One thing I noticed right away was how thirsty the Z Max is. Because of the way the coils are positioned in the chamber ( very low ) you can vape it down to a quarter of a tank before refilling which will be often.

I will list all the pro's of the Z Max but you will notice that there are no cons because I can't find a single con other than it's appetite for juice, but I would rather get a flavorful saturated vape than a dry hit so I'm fine with it's appetite for juice. I've talked about flavor but haven't mentioned vapor production, rest assured the Z Max will cloud up a room in seconds if chain vaped for a short time.

In my opinion this is Geekvapes best sub ohm tank as of this date and I will be ordering more triple coils for it. The Z Max sub ohm tank is a definite winner folks.

20210501_104319.jpg

PROS

* Great Flavor

* Attractive

* Smooth Airflow

* 4ml Capacity

* Easy Open Top Cap

* Large Fill Ports

* Top Air ( No Leak )

* Airflow Ring Can Be Removed

CONS

* 0

I would like to thank Allison and Geekvape for providing the Z Max sub ohm tank for the purpose of this review and I also would like to thank the readers of this review and really want to emphasize once again how well the Z Max performed once again.

THANK YOU

Closed/Sold Mini VV Ego USB Passthrough

Looking for a specific working Mini Variable Voltage Ego USB Passthrough "mod". The type that works strictly on USB and has no battery, just like the one in the following image. Any color is fine but must have at least a 3 ft. cord.

I'm not interested in the kind that has an internal battery, like the following...

Blinking, no flow

Howdy. My Joyetech Ego AIO is acting funky. I just bought new coils for it that I was told work for the Ego but so far have not. Every time I screw in the coil, it blinks 3 times and does not work. I looked on this site for help and tried a few things: screwing the coil so it's closer to the mod, charging it, turning it off and on. None of that has worked and it still is blinking. Could I get some help, please?

Doom X wicking discussion

I played with this for a while before i was able to get it wicking correctly. The tutorials and YT videos did not help me at all. This is what worked for me and may help other people. I lost patience several times and went to sleep giving up.

I use vandy vape SS316L mesh, which is very good mesh imo but also has a learning curve because it's so flimsy. It makes it difficult to pull cotton through without bending a hotspot in the mesh. -- pulse at 13 watts to check for hotspots, this also helps it hold its shape, it feels harder after being heated a little

The trick i found is leaving the cotton completely absent up to the ceramic spring block thing. Also cut the cotton so it bulges and completely touches the sides of the mesh, if not it will dry hit. Trim it thin enough so it will fit back in the tank though. If it doesn't wick, unscrew the top cap, if it starts to bubble it's airlocked. Trim closer to the ceramic block because of the way the juice flow works it needs to be able to flow under the spring part.

advice for first RTA

Good day to all and sorry if I mate the post in the wrong category.

After being a sub ohm vaper for a year, I decided I want to up my game so I am currently looking for my first rebuildable atomizer. I have read all kinds of best RTA list and watched videos on Youtube but I still cannot choose one so I hope the your experience can help me with some advices.

I am looking for a DL RTA with a big airflow and nice flavor. As an example my daily driver is a Revenger X + NRG tank and I keep the tank at full airflow all the time. Even a restrictive DL is too tight for my taste. I wont mind if the RTA will not be very beginner friendly, I just want a good atty and I will eventually learn to build properly on it, sooner or later. Diameter can be up to 26.5 to match my Revenger X thread, the bigger the better. As to mesh or not, I would prefer not to be mesh since I do not want to be dependent on the stock of the online shops in my country, a single regular coil would be lovely so I can find the wire all the time.

Thank you in advance for the recommendations, there are so many devices on the market now and I really do not know from where to start/

Univapo Kipo Kit - REVIEW-

Hi there fellow vaperinos

Time for another product review from yours truly.

First of all big shout out to @UNIVAPO_Rebecca for sending me this product so i could review it.
She was kind enough to send me 3 of them and a pack of spare pods.

Will keep on Kipo for my private use and the others 2 i will stash away and in a Vaping ''Robin Hood'' fashion give away to people i might know that are thinking of quitting smoking.

First of all let us start with some pictures that show the different info of the Kipo kit so you can easily glance and see all the important information.

View attachment 940323

Here is the choice of colors you can choose from, they all look good and that shiny finishing really makes the colors pop.

Opening the box this is what you find inside:

View attachment 940325

Got everything you need inside and you can be ready to vape in no time.
Think my Kipo was almost fully charged since it was charging barely 10 minutes and the red light went off (red light off means it is fully charged)

Breakdown of all the components of the Kipo:

View attachment 940327

The refillable Pod stays in place without any wiggling,it is safely tucked in it's port.
Fire button on the bottom like a mech mod (although if you have big hands it can be troublesome to use, will expand on this later on) but it also has auto draw so you can use either.

Found no difference in quality and power of the draw when using the button or just auto draw, both felt the same.

View attachment 940329

This is a small apparatus but don't be fooled,it does feel sturdy and well fabricated.

View attachment 940331

Charging time is really fast which is a great plus in a pod system of this type.

General impressions:

Not a pod user as i said in some of my previous reviews but i approach all reviews the same way, from the viewpoint of a new user who wants to quit cigarettes and from a semi-experienced vaper.

For this device you have a choice of 2 types of coils:

Coil resistance:1.0/1.3Ω(Mesh coil)

I never tried nic salts before so i decided to use both, nic salts and my usual e-liquid for this review.

I am starting to like this small devices you can just hang around your neck and not have to carry a mod around in your pockets or man bag.

I tried one refillable pod with my usual e-liquid at first but due to me using only 3mg of nicotine it didn't really satisfy me.

Then i thought i would give nic salts a try and wow what a difference, really enjoyed this vape.
Throat hit was different than my usual vaping atomizer but it did satisfy me,i actually quite liked it.

Had to spend a whole morning in town doing paperwork, picking meds for my pops etc etc so i decided to fully charge the Kipo and use the larnyard to put it around my neck and leave my usual vaping device at home.

Have to be honest i did not miss my usual vaping setup that much, yes i had less vapor but as far as my nicotine requirements they were well met.

Each time you auto draw or press the button to vape the light located in the bottom with light up.
It has 3 colors for showing the current state of your battery:

-Green- High
-Blue- Medium
-Red- Low

I spent all morning out doing stuff and i exclusively used the Kipo and when i got home, actually on my ride towards home the light changed to Blue and i do vape a lot.

Now there is something that needs to be discussed, size of the Kipo.

Well for someone like me with big hands this device feels really tiny, when using auto draw i had no problem but trying to use the fire button? yeah that didn't go well.

Tried different ways of holding the device and it still felt awkward so if you're someone like me with big hands the fire button might not be the best way use this device...but since the performance is the same regarding of the vaping method there is really not a loss of vape quality.

-PROS-

-Really portable, can put it anywhere or just carry it around your neck
-Nice quality vape and good flavor
-Fast charging times
-Aesthetic wise i gotta say they look great, love the finishing of the outer shell of the device.

-CONS-

-Only con i have is more of a personal issue,i got big hands so the fire button i just can't use properly without feeling awkward but if i just hold it and use auto draw it feels good.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this review and thanks again @UNIVAPO_Rebecca for sending this device so i could try it out.

cheers
