Review:

Love the plain look of this RTA, no overbranding, weird shapes or colors, just plain black. With its 24mm diameter it will fit a large selection of mods.

Overall machining feels proper and the threading turns smoothly. Only issue I had was the bottom-base of the tank unscrewing while trying to open the whole base. Reason was due to the connector pin not being strongly enough installed.

To stay on the base, it is nice that you can unscrew the pin as you can then take off the bottom airflow compartment and ring for proper cleaning.

Both included tanks are made of glass. Straight has a 2ml capacity and bubble 4ml capacity. Enough for a single coil RTA, but I always prefer to use the straight glass as it simply looks better.

A quarter turn top cap to fill. The ports are quite large for such a small RTA because of the thin caging. An easy and quick refill. Included drip-tip is very comfortable because of the cut-in channel through the center, it gives grip to the lip.

As said, base unscrews easily. An interested build-deck with two airflow posts is revealed. No rocket science needed to know how to build on this deck. A simple post design, just unscrew, pop in your pop and fasten. Straight back of the post allows for a clean cut of the coil ends.

Also, no issues with wicking this RTA, channels are of acceptable size not having to massively comb out the ends of the cotton. Like with most single RTAs I find keeping the cotton ends short the best option for a saturated vape. Just comb out a bit and cut at a length so that you just lay the ends in the channel, about a mm, and not all the way to the bottom of the deck.

Like the performance of this RTA. Airflow sounds smooth and allows for a very restrictive or very airy draw. For me fully open is even too much for such RTA, but I understand if some like it that way, it of course also depends on the coil. Flavor is very good and when wicked properly there is no issues with chain vaping. It is flavor wise not the best option, but it is one of the better ones, for me still the king of flavor is the Blotto and Blotto mini.

Conclusion:

A very nice little RTA that delivers a pleasant vape experience. The flavor is very good and the overall smoothness of each vape is satisfying.

This is a good RTA for those liking a RDL single coil RTA, it is easy to build on and I have not experienced any major issues with this RTA, no leaking.

For the price it is a good choice, especially with the discount code DEST, it will get you this RTA for just 18.69$ through the following link: Hellvape Destiny RTA Φ24mm 4ml top filling rebuildable tank atomizer

Special thanks to Sourcemore for sending me this RTA.

Thank you for reading, much appreciated.

Have a lovely week ahead!

New to DIY eJuice

Hello all
I have been reading the forum now for a few weeks trying to learn all I can for making our own juice. I thought I knew most of the lingo but I after reading some posts a lot of it is still a foreign language ;)
As many of you know the US laws now ban us from getting our juice thru mail pretty much, b/c of some idiots and dumber politicians. I was actually at 0mg (ok sometimes I cheat and add 3mg) for a while so not sure why 'I' can't get my juice.
I have been thinking of making my own juice for a while now and have done research. I bought some flavors, PG/VG, and Nic base and actually made my first 30ml attempt at a Bad Drip Bad Blood clone. It's still steeping but added a few drops in my tank and so far so good :thumb:.
Our go to juice is actually Occultus Templar. I have found one recipe but no reviews or comments. I have all the ingredients (I think) but have not attempted the recipe yet. If anyone knows of a good templar recipes let me know please. also Detroit Underground River Raisin is another one we used to get a few years ago but the shop that had it went out of business as many vape shops here in the US have.
Getting the flavors shipped here was no problem, the nicotine base on the other hand needed a work around because not allowed to ship to our state, DOUBLE BANNED :-x. My biggest challenge was making the 10% ethyl vanillin. When I got it I didnt even know I had to make it as I got crystals. Got on the forum and found lots of info on how to make it. I actually made 20% (I think) and will dilute that as/when needed.

I want to thank the forum creators and members for the great amount of knowledge here. I'm sure I'll learn a lot here. :thumbs:

0mg nicotine

Hello! So, for whatever reason, pre-employment nicotine testing is becoming a thing in my field. I use 6 mg juice, so I'm just going to switch to 0 mg. Everything I've read says 2 weeks should be good to pass the test. My question is, how much residual nicotine will be left in the vape from previously using 6 mg? I took it apart and cleaned it.... Is that sufficient? Or am I still consuming enough nicotine to fail a test?
Thanks!!

DIGIFLAVOR DROP V1.5 RDA review by hittman

I’m here today to talk about the new Digiflavor Drop V1.5 RDA that was sent to me by Geekvape in order to provide a fair and honest review in order to help you the readers decide if it might be a good fit for you. I have to admit that I don’t use rdas on a daily basis and have only used a squonk mod a handful of times. Not sure why but I tend to stick with rtas and standard mods. However, I have used and reviewed some rdas in the past so feel like I can give a fair evaluation of the Drop V1.5. I will even go outside my comfort zone and set up a squonk mod in order to test the Drop with a standard mod and a squonk mod. I received a sample and not the standard packaging but will show you what was included in my sample and do my best to explain my experience with this rda.

Geekvape-Drop-V1-5-RDA-Drop-Solo-RDA-11.jpg

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The package that I received as a review sample was very nice and also included a second tank which I will review once it is released. The Drop V1.5 included two N80 coils, two cotton threads, a bottom feed pin, a triangular tool, and a spare parts kit. Like I mentioned earlier in the beginning, I’m not an extremely experienced rda user but have found with the ones that I have tried that I like honeycomb airflow which I immediately noticed the Drop V1.5 had so had a good feeling that I would like it.

The Drop V1.5 has two o rings on the base that hold the outer cap on. I found out after researching, that there had been some complaints about the o rings not holding the outer cap in place well enough. That has not been my experience. After building it with the included coils and cotton, I initially tried it on my Lost Vape Thelema which is a fairly large dual 18650 mod and was able to pick it up by the outer cap. That being said, I don’t know that I would do that over concrete.

The deck of the rda is the same deck as what was used on the original Drop rda. I never owned one so this deck was new to me. I have to say that I very much like the way that you can drop the coils in, tighten them, and go under the posts and trim the coil legs after the coils are installed. I was able to use one cotton thread to wick both coils. Once I had them cut to length, I combed out the ends quite a bit and trimmed the ends at about a 45 degree angle and made sure that the ends touched the somewhat deep base.

upload_2021-4-11_19-37-34.png

upload_2021-4-11_19-38-14.png

The outer cap of the rda has six slots cut in each side but only four on each side are actually used for airflow. The inner cap can be easily turned to either open just the bottom slot or if you continue to turn the cap then it switches to the honeycomb airflow that I like. I found with the included coils that I liked the two bottom rows of holes exposed and the wattage set at 58 watts. There is a single o ring on the airflow cap and there are o rings inside the top where the 810 drip tip is inserted instead of needing a tip with o rings on it.

After using the Drop V1.5 for a few days as a dripper, I went ahead and dug out a Pulse X squonk mod that I had purchased but never used and installed the bottom feed pin on the rda. I considered using the Aegis Squonk mod that I had previously reviewed but with it being an 18650 mod, I thought the battery wouldn’t last long and didn’t really want to push it that hard. So instead I used the Pulse X with a 21700 battery. Whether dripping or using with a squonk mod, I felt like the Drop V1.5 delivered what I consider to be very good flavor. I did notice when using with a squonk mod that it seemed like the base had a deep enough well that I didn’t have to squonk as often as I thought I would. Also, when using the Pulse X, it was light enough that I had no issues whatsoever picking up the mod and rda by the outer shell of the rda. The o rings held just fine.

IMG-4815.jpg

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have to admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed testing the Drop V1.5 rda. I felt like it was well designed and well executed. I normally test tanks with a 6mg liquid but knowing that this was a dual coil high output rda, I went ahead and mixed up some 3mg liquid for testing. It’s a good thing I did. Even with the airflow only opened on two rows and at 58 watts I got a very dense and flavorful vapor production from this rda. It didn’t matter much whether used as a dripper or as a squonk. It performed very well in both cases.

I suppose one could just insert one coil and run it as a single coil rda but I don’t really feel like that would be the ideal set up for this rda. I didn’t try it as a single coil set up since two coils were included and it seemed intentional to test it as a dual coil build. It seems like with as many air holes there are in the inner chamber that there is almost an infinite number of airflow adjustments. To me that allows the rda to fit the preferences of more users.

So would I recommend the Digiflavor V1.5 Rda to you? Well, if you like big clouds with dense vapor and superior flavor production then yes I would. I didn’t have an issue with the outer cap sliding off like some users did. I would like to thank April and Geekvape for sending the Digiflavor Drop V1.5 Rda for review. Stay tuned for reviews on two more tanks that I have received and will be reviewing once given the go ahead to post them. You thought I forgot but I didn’t. A big thanks to the readers that make it possible for me to continue writing reviews. Below is a link to the website if you’d like to look for yourself.

Is Nicotine not as Addictive as 'they' say it is ?

That nicotine is as addictive as many hard drugs has been a mantra we have been hearing for yours - So I did some research:

If the data contradict the theory, throw out the data: Nicotine addiction in the 2010 report of the Surgeon General
"
Abstract
The reports of US Surgeon General on smoking are considered the authoritative statement on the scientific state of the art in this field. The previous report on nicotine addiction published in 1988 is one of the most cited references in scientific articles on smoking and often the only citation provided for specific statements of facts regarding nicotine addiction. In this commentary we review the chapter on nicotine addiction presented in the recent report of the Surgeon General. We show that the nicotine addiction model presented in this chapter, which closely resembles its 22 years old predecessor, could only be sustained by systematically ignoring all contradictory evidence. As a result, the present SG's chapter on nicotine addiction, which purportedly "documents how nicotine compares with ...... and ....... in its hold on users and its effects on the brain," is remarkably biased and misleading."

"..... In the present commentary we address the model of nicotine addiction presented in Chapter 4 of the report. Specifically, we challenge conclusion (2) which states that "nicotine is the drug that causes addiction". We will show that this model could only be sustained by systematically ignoring all contradictory evidence. As a result, the present SG's chapter on nicotine addiction, which purportedly "documents how nicotine compares with ...... and ....... in its hold on users and its effects on the brain," is remarkably biased and misleading......."

6.jpg

First impressions:
I was immediately impressed to discover how well the packaging is particularly rich in spare parts and accessories, there are even 16 Coils to regenerate the new Siren V3 at will!
Wanting to nitpick, I would say that a replacement Drip-Tip is missing in the rich package, in fact the standard one is extremely large and in the overall compact line of the Device it appears out of place, luckily the Drip-Tip 510 is replaceable at will.

7.jpg

To learn more about this new Kit I took the Aspire Mixx (a very similar and equally captivating SBS) from the drawer to compare it directly to the new Digiflavor Z1. The first visual differences seem essentially relegated to different decorative choices.

8.jpg

To the touch both Mods instill an excellent feeling of quality and robustness, the corners of Digiflavor Z1 appear slightly smoother, while the dimensions are almost identical.
Wanting to investigate thoroughly, I exclude the atomizers (Siren V3 and Nautilus GT mini) and I go to weigh both Mods.
And here is the most relevant surprise, that is the weight ... The Z1 Digiflavor SBS wins big in this respect, in fact with a saving of about 50g it clearly improves what was perhaps the only limit of the beautiful Aspire Mixx SBS. So after a substantial draw, the best portability due to the significantly lower weight, earns Digiflavor Z1 SBS (in my personal ranking) a precious little point.

9.jpg

The lateral aspect of Digiflavor Z1 is characterized by the type of decorative insert which can be in stabilized wood or "multicolored shell", will the latter be a real shell? I am not given to know, it will probably be IML or something. In relief on both sides there is also a plate screwed with two torx screws that bears the words "Digiflavor".

Vaping equipment at Pawn Shops

After being disappointed with the vape shops in Philadelphia, I saw an odd looking store that had "vapes" on an outside sign. It was a pawn shop! One section of the display case was filled with decent mods, and decent atomizers. It was better stuff than I saw in the vape shops. I bought a new still-sealed-in-the- box Pioneer4you iPV5 mod for $60. I found out later that the going price on elementvape.com is closer to $50. Lesson learned, knowledge and the willingness to haggle are necessary.

But still, this opens up possibilities as things get worse. Anything used, of course, would need to be checked out and should be discounted as used merch.

Its sad to think that things are coming to this.

All about the taste

I am a new member and everybody’s been helping me with various atomiser problems and I think I’ve been told to move it into here . It’s been recommended I use RTA,s and not sure what they are , and also it would be better for me to use bigger atomiser,s . When I started vaping I was looking for something that tasted and had the hit of a strong cigar ,and many companies advertised “ cigar flavours “ but were cr#p then I found TW heavy cigar 36mg and loved it. Then it became illegal so had to change to 18mg , big shock no taste ,so changed to 0.5 and more power and ok again .i found for whatever reason the heavy cigar flavour is very susceptible to the slightest change . But now I cannot get supplies from uk anymore because of uk post office rules regarding Covid so they say so been chasing around Thailand for something worth vaping . So if you recommend to me different tanks and atomisers it has to be A available in Thailand and B copes with plain tobacco flavour . I don’t like sweet and funny flavours . All I want is something that tastes like a cigar ( Dutch not Cuban ) . As an example heavy cigar with a 0.5 tastes great , with a 1.2 no taste at all . Thanks everybody I’ve had such good response from this forum and learnt a lot already .

DIGIFLAVOR DROP RDA V1.5 REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello again everyone and welcome back for today's review of the Digiflavor Drop RDA V1.5 that is a upgrade to the very successful and flavorful original Drop RDA. The Drop V1.5 has one very big change to it from the original , the original was such a great RDA because of how simple and easy it was to build on it, just as the name implies you just drop your coils in. Those of you familiar with the original will be happy to hear the deck of the 1.5 remains unchanged from the original ( why fix something that isn't broke ) but what has changed is the airflow and the change is a good one. Before the review let's get some information on Digiflavor new version the Drop RDA V1.5.

BREAKDOWN

GeekvapeDropV1.5RDA_DropSoloRDA-_11.jpg

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I have to say that the packaging for the Drop V1.5 was really nicely done and also included another RDA that hasn't been released yet so it must be covered up with the green sticker, as soon as it's released I will review it also.

20210404_082459.jpg

Everything that comes with the Drop V1.5 RDA is shown below minus the box marked accessory.

20210404_084607.jpg

The new Drop V1.5 is a 4 piece RDA that consist of the build deck, outer barrel, inner barrel and the drip tip, this is where you can see the big change that was done in the airflow, the deck remains the same as the original with the simple coil drop in hence the RDA's name. Getting back to the airflow, the Drop V1.5 has 37 airflow holes on each side of the inner barrel for a total of 74.

20210404_100827.jpg

As shown above the outer barrel has a series of airflow slots 6 in total but the bottom 2 have been blocked and only the 4 above them are usable. There are so many airflow choices that can be dialed in with the RDA that every vaper should have no problem finding their sweet spot. Adjusting the airflow is done by turning the blue inner barrel either direction.

Starting out from the bottom usable slot you can use it with the top 3 slots totally closed off dialing from a small opening to a fully open slot and anywhere in between. For my vaping preference this was to restricted for me.

20210404_095112.jpg

The above choice is just the beginning, as you turn the inner barrel a series of air holes open in the top 3 slots and can be configured so many different ways. After trying many different selections my sweet spot was found with this setting that is semi restricted.

20210409_173524.jpg

I would not consider this a huge air RDA but even fully open which I sometimes use, you get a DL vape but not super airy. I really liked the original but the new airflow really gives it a upgrade. Shown below with all airflow holes in use 16 on each side for a total of 32.

20210404_090014.jpg

In testing the Drop V1.5 I decided to use the supplied coils as well as cotton of which 1 piece is enough for both coils so save the other piece for re wicking. The coils ohmed out to 0.19 on the ohm meter . I decided to space the coils to get the best flavor. When cutting the coil legs if coils are in the post already make sure to get every piece that's been cut or you will end up with a short.

20210408_153205.jpg

Wicking the Drop V1.5 is also a easy process, leave your wick ends long, comb them out good then trim and place in the deep wick slots. That's another great feature ( DEEP WELLS ), this RDA holds a lot of juice.

20210409_171339.jpg

I was a little worried that the color that was sent would not match well with a device but I tried it on a few and it seemed to look good on blue, black or silver devices the best.

I decided to use it in squonk mode and used it on 2 different devices, first I used it on the Geekvape Squonker and it performed great except with a build of 0.19 and the Geekvape Squonker being a single 18650 device I was changing out batteries to frequently.

20210409_170208.jpg

So I elected for a dual 18650 Squonker and decided to use it on my Topside Dual and my build was reading 0.18Ω which was no big deal. Having a dual 18650 made things much better ( fewer battery changes ). I think the RDA matched up just as well as it did on the Geekvape Squonker. Flavor is above average on the Drop v1.5 and vapor will cloud a room up very fast.

20210410_070632.jpg

Because the interior of the deck is so deep and your working airflow slots are high up on the outer barrel over squonking is something that shouldn't be a problem as long as the RDA is in the upright position.

I have been using the Drop V1.5 for the past 7 days and have been very happy with it's performance, I don't always squonk and forget how much better flavor can be when using a RDA so I have been primarily using these 2 set ups all week and loving it.

Even the drip tip has remained on while testing it and it works just fine so I saw no need to use another. Adjusting the airflow works fine but I wish that not only the top but also bottom o rings were a bit larger, there not super loose but don't try to pick up your device by just grabbing the outer barrel of the RDA because it will just pull off letting your mod fall so be forewarned it will happen.

Apart from the last item I mentioned I could find no other cons with the Drop RDA V1.5 and if it's used as a desk device topper you should be fine. The many pros of this RDA far outweigh the o ring issue.

PROS

* Great Flavor

* Smooth Airflow

* Easy Build Deck

* Deep Juice Capacity

* Squonk Capable

* Many Airflow Options

* Plenty Of Vapor

* Hassle Free

CONS

* O Rings Should Be Larger

FINAL IMPRESSIONS

Well folks I hope that I covered everything for you in the review of the Drop V1.5, as I mentioned earlier this RDA has been used primarily everyday this week and I won't be putting it away anytime soon, the flavor is above average with more than enough vapor and is hassle free, just drip or squonk and your good to go. If I was asked do I recommend the Drop V1.5 the answer would be 100% yes.

I would like to thank Geekvape for providing the Drop V1.5 for the purpose of this review as stay tuned for the 2nd and also a 3rd atomizer that I could not show just yet but they will be reviewed shortly. I hope that this review helped anyone looking to purchase the Drop V1.5 RDA.

THANK YOU

Is the Billet Box for me?

Hi.

I'm thinking about joining the BB crowd. I'm sure I'll regret it because I'm sure I'll get all the candies I fancy for it, but I just love the looks and general convenience. It's like the V3 Hana Modz boxes. Those designs are just immortal. I also like the idea of not going out there with the mod in one pocket and a 100 ml crystal bottle in the other. I 'm also a customization freak and I'm sure I'll like that side of the BB.

The thing is that I don't know if I'll like the BB with my vaping customs.

I vape exclusively on RDAs. In the last year, 99% of my vaping time was spent with Citadel and Hadaly RDAs, and now and then I also use my Profile RDA. I don't do any special setups or other fancy stuff. I just wrap simple single round 28 AWG SS wire to use in the 20-40W range in TC mode on my Picos, Reuleauxs and Sbody Macros. I also have Clapton and Alien Wires I use now and then, but I'm OK with the simple coils. I also like an airy vape, which is my main concern with the BB.

The thing is that I haven't touched a tank since the days of the Kayfun 3.1, which was about 2014 or so. I know that there are 510 adapters for BB, but the thing with the BB is using boro RBAs (or "bridges", as they call it), which means going back to RTAs. This is also something I'm not so sure about.

So is the vaping much different in boro tanks and RDAs? Will I be disappointed when vaping a VapeSnail or Wick'd boro RBAs vs vaping RDAs?

TIA

Tanks to match coils

I have a bunch of TFV8 smok coils. Is there a way to find out which tanks would be compatible with this type of coil? I originally bought them for my Geekvape Aero Mesh tank, but am looking for other tanks to match them.

Yocan Apex Mini Kit review - who fit in the pocket

Hi, guys. Have you ever noticed that the first extraction after reinstalling the wax penwax pen is usually the peak of fragrance? Yocan Apex Mini Vaporizer is a very slim concentrate vaporizer that features awesome functionalities with discreet design and solid quality.
Yocan-Apex-Mini-vape-pen-2.jpg

Features:
Adjustable Voltage (3.4V, 3.8V, 4.2V)
380mAh Battery Capacity
Quartz Dual Coil
Newly Designed Coil Cap

The real difference is the way the Apex wire heats the vape coil. After 4 seconds, the Apex pen repeatedly fluctuates the voltage to 2.5V, and then increases to the voltage you set. This fluctuation is designed to preserve the taste by retaining the flavor compounds longer.

Yocan Apex Mini is a discreet and compact device. It has a width of only 0.44 inches and a length of 4.35 inches, which means it can fit in the pocket of the tightest skinny jeans. The built-in 380mAh battery is charged by Micro USB, which brings more convenience.
