Is @Debadoo being held hostage by puppies this weekend?

We're gonna make a special one just for you. :D

 Actually, didn't do badly on the stocking front. I'd been getting some ProVari 2.5s for a bit when the price went way down. Since they quit making them and I've been happily using them for over 2.5 years , it was a stocking for a lifetime thing, literally.

Got two Picos if I get the itch to try something new in a year or two, same with two tanks plus some spare parts, and some of the tanks I've been using for over three years. Oh, and I got some cheep DTs for a bargain price since I seem to insist on plastic ones and go on an occasional bust-'em spree. A couple of Spinner for travel and hoping to convert a neighbor that is lucky (beyond belief) to be alive due to health issues. He hasn't bitten but its there for him. Don't think he's smoking but, again, it's there for him.

Haven't spent nearly what other folks have that "branch out" in their vaping styles. I applaud them, they will be able to help others on down the road, not to mention experimenting is cool if you're into it.

We have a staggering amount of complications, bills and surgeries ahead of us but knowing the vape thing is set practically for life is priceless. I'll never have to pay the gov. or state (CA with a 67%, I believe, vape tax on the ballot) another penny unless I choose to.

I think the American disillusionment with its government is reaching a crisis point. Everyone knows that people will be people and that some corruption is inevitable. But, the level of corruption in this country has become so blatant and extreme that they may start getting serious about taking our guns (instead of the usual words, words, words).

When they start ACTUALLY taking our guns instead of just talking about it, watch out! That's what a government does when it's getting ready to go completely off the deep end!

And, the US government is getting very close to it.

I'm so disillusioned with our government that it makes me sick. The vaping issue is what brings it all to the surface. It's not because it's my issue. It's not because I'm not getting what I want. It's because our government is willing to so blatantly and obviously lie to us and prove to us that our health and our lives mean NOTHING to them.

Surely they must know that this is all going to come out. The extremity of the lies cannot be hidden. Vapers and smokers may be forced to suffer for a few years. But, the lies are too obvious to fool the public for long. This will come out. There's no way to avoid it. Although, if they had done it a year earlier, they may well have gotten away with it.

It just brings out and highlights all the related corruption. I think they'ld be a lot smarter, no matter how much it cost them, to let this one go. Unless they're looking for revolution.

Well, it's not only the vaping issue, I guess. The way the election is going is also part of it. The election process (with the super delegates and the more and more obvious fact that the people have less and less control over their own government) has a lot to do with it too.

I mean, look at it. We have 2 delegates that would be unelectable if there were any other choice. Two delegates that we're forced to choose between that no one wants, that no one could possibly believe should even be ALLOWED to run.

Something's very wrong here!

If I didn't say it before, probably did, I didn't "get it" until I started vaping. It was a hard pill to swallow. Then I saw the onslaught of BP. I don't want to see the FDA go away, they save countless lives yet are willing to throw so many away for a buck. They need to go back to doing what they do best, protecting lives, not snuffing them out.

Guns? I've been shot at three times, all three nearly killed me, one actually went through my hair, which is, unfortunately, naturally stringy. Do I want to see people lose the right to own guns? Hell yeah! I don't want responsible gun owners lose their guns, under any circumstances, but when you have poachers shooting at your house and you, hell yes, take their arms away and lock them up for good. End of story.

Not meant as something personal against you DH, just a comment from someone that doesn't own one that's seen too many needless deaths.

Yep ... that cost me another 2 KFLV5s. And do they run a 24x7 operation. I've already got shipping notice from them this morning.

:toast:

So glad you got something you needed! :)
Here's one I like. All TFA.
Key Lime 5%
Graham Cracker 4%
Marshmallow 3%
Sweetener 1 %

If you really were, you'd know it's CDO. MUST be alphabetized! ;)

Had to google that.

Grandbaby #13 is on the way. There has been a 2,4,10,12and 13 year old at the house since before sundown yesterday.

*quietly sitting in the corner chain vaping 100 mg*

20% per offsping, hoping for your sake she doesn't have twins. Could be hell next time.

OK I got a VT133 the one DNA I wanted to fulfill my collection and 1 more Tobeco Kayfun V5 wouldn't let me buy 2 said there was only 1 left in stock. Don't know if that is true or they are limiting people to 1.

Happy to keep up the porch tradition of spending your money. :D

I've just finished learning a valuable lesson: coils have to be dry burned more frequently than I feel like doing it. Two Stumpys, 4 NarDAs, 2 Mantas and a Doge all got rebuilt, this morning. And the first two hours of this afternoon.

For those who try to make a coil last as long as is humanly possible, how frequently do y'all dry burn?

I have over three years worth waiting to be dry burned. :( If I get around to it, I'll let you know. Hey, it's part of my stocking plan. :)

It's time to date myself. Actually, it was my wife who suggested it.

Don't remember that at all plus in a bigger picture, she doesn't ring a bell. Man, you must be way older than I am. (I saw that covering up being embarrassed for not recognizing that :().

Boba's Bounty. Wow, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought of that as a reason. Thanks for posting it. Granted I skimmed the first and last page, it's an interesting analysis in not how to do business. Never tried it but was tempted. Wow. :(

Congrats!!! Stuff your ears with cotton and HIDE!

Now there's an excellent reason why a 3 lbs. box of rayon is not a tobacco product, plus you get to preserve your sanity in the process.

Sounds familiar. I start organizing, then change my mind mid-stream. Leaving a mess. Then it's harder to get started on the new plan.

I'm not good at telling how things will work before I get it mostly done and SEE how it's going to work. It's a messy way to organize.

You organize just the way I do!

They didn't have much of a choice. One of the primary flavors they used in it is no longer made and they've been unable to recreate it with what's available on the market. It's my understanding they're still trying to recreate the flavor with what's available on the market, but they've been stymied up to this point.

I'm a James Patterson fan. Just started reading his latest - "Chase". This is the fist line in the book: "At the end of the dark, crowded bar, a man in black twirled an e-cigarette through his fingers…"

I read a LOT and this is the first time I've seen vaping mentioned in a novel.

    Good morning!

I forgot to "quote," so ima do this from memory - which means ima miss a lot :)

@retired1, How do you keep track of this stuff?! Thanks for the link on Boba's Bounty. We were talking about it at the B&M on Saturday. No one knew...

@MikeE3, @DavidOck, and @2legsshrt (and someone else, but I'm afraid I've forgotten who), thank you for answering. I vape pretty sweet, caramel colored stuff. It results in kwik kases of Krusty Koil syndrome! I think I'll try a twice a week schedule, and see what happens. Heaven knows, the 10-12 day schedule isn't working!

@DancingHeretik and @FlamingoTutu, I so appreciate your passion around issues of government. Living in the metro DC area, it's almost impossible to be unaware of the evolution of dysfunction - and at an increasingly rapid rate. I think our elected officials are, by and large, good people. But, like those whom they portend to represent, stubborn, and entrenched in their beliefs. There is an unwillingness to compromise: it seems that many politicians (like many constituents) would rather slam the table, make a speech, and retreat to their respective corners, having done whatever damage they can, rather than doing the hard work of governing. "My way or the highway" is not an effective strategy; the truth rarely is as self-evident as people want to believe.

I think we are living proof of the (probably .......ized) Chinese proverb: "May you live in interesting times." I suspect generations preceding mine felt the same way ...

@2legsshrt, if you do figure out an organizational scheme, please share. My vape stuff is out of control!

    Where is @Debadoo?

Have you thought about getting rid of all your stuff and starting over. Then as the new stuff comes in keep it organized from the 'get go'.

Yea, while it is fading as I progress in life my curse has always been numbers. When I was 50 I found my old high school gym combo lock - opened it on the second try.

Its great to meet you as well! Unfortunately I some how lost Von's quote in this multi-quote reply,
    HELLO VON! :)
Ahh, the Mage is a thing of beauty!Looks like it would travel nicely in the pocket, and the velocity style deck is a big turn on for me as I have a V2 RDA which I truly and dearly love! The CoilArt Azeroth RDTA also caught my eye, but I am not sure I understand the configuration by just seeing pics. Definitely giving the Mage a serious look!
Thank you Sir! You and your bride also will be in our prayers and please know that you both have our best wishes and positive thoughts!
I would enjoy seeing your pictorial sometime.
Legs got me up to speed on the new chipsets and pointed me to the DNA mods, I kinda cheaped out and bought two HCigar VT75's, these were 59.99 each, they can use 26650 bats so with the 5200mah 26650's I ordered, we should have a couple of good daily drivers.
Got my eyes on the vt133 as well, but will feel a little better about spending the cash on extra toys when I have some cash coming in,lol.

The Mage has been pretty wonderful. As long as the wicks are done correctly, I've not had a single drop of leakage, and the flavor is absolutely amazing. The Azeroth RDTA is what they are calling the newest version of our old genesis style tanks. I've heard a lot of good things about some of them, but I'm just not a fan of the genny style anymore.
Thank you, Sir! We're trying everything we can for her... we should hear back from the doctors about the clinical trial drugs sometime this week. If I haven't heard anything back from them by tomorrow, I'm going to start making some phone calls...
I'll go find my posts with the pictorial on the Mage and send them to you in a PM. I think I left them in the Rayon thread (that you can access from the "Rayonati" link in my signature).
I've still not tried the DNA chipsets. I'm still very happy with the YiHi board that is in my regulated squonker, and whatever board Sigelei used in the Fuchai 213... other than those two, I pretty much stick with mech mods. Simple, dependable, and easy to fix if anything does manage to go wrong. ;)

@Kaezziel, I saw your recipe for Peaches-N-Cream the other day and saved it to "juices I want to try". I just finished making a small batch. I love Peaches and Cream so I hope it turns out as good as it sounds. I will let you know. I have it steeping in my crockpot.

That one was my ADV for over a year. It was my very first recipe that I ever created. Fair warning: If you mixed it "as is", it will be Very sweet. It is much more "peach forward" than it is creamy. If you'd like to try something a little different, I'd suggest trying my honeyed pear recipe. You may have seen it labeled as "Aphodite's Kiss". I spent months and months working on that one, and everyone that has tried it so far has really enjoyed it. I'm pretty proud of that one. ;)

Didn't know they sold those. I'll get some, thank you!

Yep! Just check at the pet store where they have the fish and reptile food. ;)

For those who try to make a coil last as long as is humanly possible, how frequently do y'all dry burn?

Depends on which juice I've been running through it. With my vanilla custard, I pull the wicks and dry burn at least twice a week. It is extremely gunky and can wreck a coil quickly. Usually for that one, I use 24g NiChrome, because it's the sturdiest wire that I have. I usually run that juice in the SX squonker. In the mech squonker, I've been running test batches and haven't dry burned that one in a while. I just vape it until the rayon turns white and gets dry, then switch flavors.
Are your coil wraps compressed together, or are they spaced apart? I find that I can squeeze a little extra time between dry burns if the wraps are spaced.

Yep, dark and sweet are both gunkers. Rather than seek a "schedule", just go by taste and "feel."

My experience as well, compressed coils gunk faster.

Compressed. Every last one of them. 26 or 28 gauge kanthal. Some twisted, some not. Pretty boring. :)

Try spacing them out a little bit next time. I found it easier than compressing them, because you don't really have to adjust them at all for hot spots. They heat evenly without too much fussing with them. Also helps with gunking. I've found that it is pretty easy to adjust the spacing after installing the wicks. Get them close in the beginning, wick the coil, then adjust the spacing with a pair of fine tipped tweezers. I also use fairly large diameter coils. Typically around 3mm I.D. and I also use mostly 26g, but my go-to wires are SS316L and NiChrome 80. Lower res than kanthal, but seems to last longer for me.

ETA: And my builds are boring, too. No twisted, no clapton fancy stuff... straight single wire. ;)

I love Patterson! We are listening to NYPDRED4 as we drive home. Rented from Cracker Barrel.

My builds are very boring. Single coil between 1.3 amd 1.8 ohms. On everything.

Everytime I rewick, which is when flavor drops or things get a bit of a burned taste.
