Got some nice colours on this build so thought I'd post it.
N80 0.15 alien wrap on 28g ss316.
Pics are in order with the top being the first stage of heating, got some nice reds, the only editing was cropping the pics

Framed staples, .34Ω in series.

Now these, I really shouldn't had try to put them in the royal hunter, one end of each coil was so close to the side I had to do a half wick as there would not have been enough room for the Scottish Roll. Wicks great though, even with one tail cut off. .15Ω fused Claptons.

@Taowulf, on your second build if you had wrapped your coil in the other direction you'd have gained some space for some wick

It's true. But I always wrap the same direction and these coils were wrapped weeks ago before I decided what I was going to put them in. Oh, and the wicking is still great.

The only time I ever wrap in the opposite direction is when I am building 4 coils for my Rafale X using the neutral post.

Well, I don't generally send out or post wick pics. I mean unless my girl asks me to. So here's a shot of the working coils in my Petri v2 :D

If the wicks keeping up all's good :)
You could have even popped the coils in the other side of the deck But i know what its like when you get into a habit of doing things a certain way, the force of habit takes over and you forget :D i used to always wrap the same way as you and also like the same quarter of the deck.

@Tom Forde very nice ;) i keep forgetting to wick my coils, i'm sure the op isn't gonna kickoff at us though

Yeah I kinda hope the NSA doesn't collect wick pics from forums as well as cell phones....

Can't seem to get a decent macro shot with my Nexus 5x. They are terrible.

Just wrapped dual 24g ss 316l, 10 wraps, around a 3mm bit. Velocity v2. The problem with these 2 post designs is the spacing. While it's great for fat coils. My standard 6 or 7 wrap coil feels off to install. I like them close to the post as possible and they will stretch. Otherwise you have a long leg and I swear I can taste it. So tried 10 wraps this time. It vapes alright. Will probably try 8 wraps next time. Have some twisted 26g ss 316l that I twisted a while back and just been sitting, maybe a spaced coil would work.

I have to check out some of that pre built wire. Some of these builds look nice!

Got the ijoy Limitless today, here's my first build.
26g A1 Kanthal
5wrap dual parallel
2.5id
0.16ohms

Pre fire!

After burn in!
image.jpeg
Wick'ed and juiced
image.jpeg
I took the the barrel off that has the juice hole in the side and wick'ed the coils with ... cotton then pulled the tails down into the wick slots and snipped the cotton just below then screwed the barrel back on, it's working without any dry hits so far but I may adjust the tails when I get 5mins so I don't have to keep tilting to re-supply the wicks, unsure atm but I'm getting through a lot of juice so far as is :D

Maybe doing a 6 or 7 wrap parallel with the 26g would get you right on the post holes.:)

I know what you mean about the legs splaying a little on some builds, i just position the coil legs into posts whilst holding my thumb against the outside facing part of the coil with a mandrel inside, it kind of keeps the coil from opening out while the legs get pushed into the post holes, and once ive tightened both the coils i do the same thing with thumb and mandrel but pull some tension on them by pulling away from the posts to make sure they are both at the same distance.
Its another reason why i prefer 2.5id over 3mm because the coil ends up a tad longer, if you can you could go dual parallel like i did in previous post! that also adds a little more length to the coil.
Every little helps :)

Made this last night, didn't install it yet though so I don't know what it's reading just yet. I put it up to my avocado and it looks like it would fit but this coil is seriously making me think about getting a goon. Btw that's my very first attempt messing around with corrugated cores.

And this is my current working build. Triple twisted clap 36/40 A1 helixed zipper.

Very tidy build's! keep up the vgood work @Justadude :)

I'd take a guess at the corrugated being 0.15ohm for that one coil, not that i even know the specs on it :D

I kid you not, i got through 3 tanks in as many hours on the Limitless.

Thanks brother. Let me see if I remember the specs....
Core
.5mm n80 corrugated
.5mm n80 core walls
28 n80 triple spiral frames
40 gauge n80 helix/staple, 8 -9 strands total.
3/4 wraps around 3mm ID
I'll rebuild this tonight cause I want more perfection even though the 44 would sit better. In my opinion it's kind of sloppy but maybe I'm being way too hard on myself. It's my first staple build like that so what I'm mainly taking from it is experience :)

Lmfao, alright dude I'll do it later on tonight. We're still spring cleaning our place but I'll be rebuilding this later on tonight so I'll throw it on some Atty just for kicks and fire it up. I'm hoping it's at around .2 and up but then again since it won't be going in a tank what do I care about heat flux lol

Yes already ordered a black goon today and the vinyl guys are gonna send me another completely redone decal on Monday. I'm so stoked you have no idea. Check this.....

So this coil doesn't fit on any of my attys. Mutation x v3 nope, plume veil forget it, post holes are tiny, it goes through the doge v2 post holes but it's way too squashed and wouldn't give me an accurate reading. Same concept for vertex and I won't even attempt it in a hobo. It would fit in avocado but I'm not taking the zipper out just to test this. Especially since it's not final.

I'll rebuild it tomorrow cause I'm way too tired, we've been spring cleaning our place and shopping all day. Screw it. I need some rest too lol

I'll rebuild it and they'll ship my new good out on Monday so I'll have it ready hopefully by Wednesday :)

Yeah you might as well wait till you get the Goon, what is the deck made of on the one your getting? it's a big IF but if i did get one i would get a full SS, not that it really makes a lot of difference but its a little easier to keep clean.

Which mods do you use? mechanical, regulated or both?
I never worry about HeatFlux on my Mechs i do builds where the heatflux is through the roof but they vape just fine, i think maybe if a person were to take a 3s-5s pull then you you could take it into account but on a build where you take 1s pulls and the wire doesn't fully heat as would in other builds its inapplicable.

I love the Decal :D I love Zombies
