I am going to start walking more. I know this sounds lame, but I've got to get some movement back into my life! This is something that I've wanted to do for a long time, and I have time at lunch during the week and, of course, can find time on weekends...but I have not followed through yet.

I am going to do more to help my local animal shelter. I used to volunteer some time most weekends, or when I had some time off during any given week, but I've 'let things slide', and have become pretty lazy about getting over there. It is a lot of hard work, but if no one is there to do some of the things that need doing, the poor dogs/cats/others just go without.

I'm going to make an effort this year to keep my apartment neater. It's not "dirty," it's cluttered. Like most teachers/professors, I have stacks and stacks of books and papers covering virtually every surface in my apartment. This year, I would like to get things organized a bit better.

Read more for fun. I am always reading journal articles and textbooks, this year I will make more time to read things I want to read rather than need to.

I think another goal that I have for myself this year is not to point out in a sarcastic way when people don't follow instructions. I have this problem with my students sometimes, but it carries over to other areas of my life (like ECF sometimes), too.

I am more healthy than I have ever been since I quit smoking 2 years ago...I don't work out enough though.....I don't believe in New years Resolutions as they were meant to be broken...For this year I just want to try & work out more often...
