Hi everybody-

I'm not very active on this forum anymore but as my 1 year ECF Anniversary is coming up, I thought I'd start putting this thought out there. Some of you may remember last year's (un)official 2011 juice Of the Year thread started by poster mwa and (somewhat) meticulously collated and spreadsheeted by yours truly. I know there are currently some running tallys of best juice/vendor etc and without stepping on those threads, I'm wondering if you ECF'ers would be interested in me doing it again this year. I think there are some new things we could do (namely, categories like best tobacco, best fruit etc) and I'm open to other ideas.

Also for anyone looking: the original 2011 thread has been either moved or deleted (I can't find it at least), but either way I unfortunately accidentally deleted my original spreadsheet link (idiot) and didn't have a backup :(

Oh excellent, Sa Da Tay!!! I had been thinking of starting just this thread in about a month, so I'm pleased to see that you have!

I can help you out with the original 2011 thread, and, I have every one of your updates for the wonderful spreadsheet you created!

Let's do it!

Thanks ECF peoples! Well unless there are any resounding arguments against this that pop up here, I'll assume I'm doing this thing. I'll create another thread for the actual poll, but maybe we can pool together ideas to maximize the vaporifficness (copyright pending) of this 2012 version? For instance, what should the categories be?

There should definitely be a category for new juice sold for the first time in 2012...

An overall category that is open to all entries...

And I will leave other thoughts up to everyone else!

Desserts and Bakery could probably be combined. Would there be a separate vote for overall best?

That's a good start and yeah I agree combining bakery and desserts. I can see a problem deciding where hybrid flavors would go, e.g. a peach tobacco or a strawberry daquiri. I would argue that you go by the main category suggested by the last word (i.e. "tobacco" and "drink" in the examples here).
