The principle here is that people would no longer need flavoring in the reservoir going through the wick and coil. It should work for many flavors, the flavor would be inside the 901 whistle (or round piece). You could use one basic liquid and quite a variety of flavor tips should be able to work with it (that you can also refill if you want).
The way I understand, you are basically using the E-2 coil to heat liquid that is in a filler inside a whistle tip. Congratulations! You just invented an atomizer and cartridge for a KR808D.

The tip fits the 501 that bad sent me also.

...And the 3-hole metal cap that looks like the bottom of a 808d1 carto is the other part of it.
:thumb:

It is an atomizer, but it can hold 1.5 ml of pure liquid that does not gunk up the flavor, and it only costs a dollar or a dollar 50

I noticed im getting into a bad habbit with the E2.

they work so well and give off so much vapor that even though i want to smoke it like a analog I find myself chugging on this thing back to back.

i got to break that habbit, i keep wondering why im getting dizzy.

ill have to join Vapors anonymous soon

So i take it banjoman your not happy with the new e2's, im sorry to hear that, ill pm you my addy and you can get those e2's off your unhappy hands.:D:D:D:evil::vapor:

The only way I'll be unhappy is if I get my next order and it contains everything but CE2 cartos. My first order was correct so I'm cautiously optimistic.

You ever watch e-cig video reviews, and find yourself vaping along with them?

I'm bad about that..

Heard that cloudsofvapor okayed the use of the 510 2ED cartos for the wetbox so I stuck one on. So far it is a nice vape. Mucho vapor and flavor. Tried one on my Kaji box but could not get it to draw at all.

I think that the problem is that the feed tube on the Kaji is thicker then the one on the wetbox and the vent holes on the carto are down below in the threat area so when it is screwed in the vent holes are no good but since the feed tube on the wetbox is more like a needle air can still get in via the bottom center hole.

So far with mild analog like vaping my 510s and 808s are still doing okay and the flavor is consistent now, it has not died out like when I first used them.

if you dont mind trying something , take the one your using that had a wierd taste. empty out any juice. shake it out, then wash it out with hot water and give it a little cleaning, shake out any water and dry it out, then place it back on your device and dry burn it clean, add juice up to the cup and vape.

-KR808D-1 Carto's dated 20100616-

I grabbed a fresh one and soaked it under hot water for a few minutes, then ran hot water through it, blew through it to remove excess water, then filled it with PG to the edge, put the inner and outer cap back in, and vaped...

I think I put a little to much juice in, there was minimal vapor for a few vapes, then it vaped good for a couple of vapes, then that chemical smell came back shortly after.... Its back to square one now.

Every vape is a chemical smell again... it smells similar to a plastic bottle cap being melted.

I held the button down for 3 seconds without vaping, and I can see the juice enter wick again (takes about half a second). So I dont think its a wicking issue. I think it's that glue around the cup.

I was using a 3.3v 901 by the way, not a 3.7v KR808D-1

Some people are sensitive about the taste of the rubber mouth tip. Have you eliminated this as a source yet?

Yes, I have eliminated the rubber/silicone cap. I even tried vaping with the cap removed, no difference.

I've continued to lightly vape (basically bum puffing) it for a few minutes as a test, the chemical smell is still there, but the smell becomes less noticable on occasion. When the chemical smell is at its worst, I sizzle it on its own for 3 seconds, let it cool, then give it a vape, it almost becomes tollerable for a few seconds, but then it gets strong again.

I don't want to breath in that chemical even if its less noticeable. It can't be good for you..

I'm also getting a slightly chemical taste, and I've removed the tip and use my drip tip. I'm a little unsure about using these now that I've read they have glue in the unit. That to me makes no sense at all.

Maybe the old filler type cartos are for you both. Or the 3 piece atomizers.

can y'all define 'chemical'? I'm trying a new flavor that tastes like smoke actually, not 'chemical' (which means nothing), but smoke. What flavor are y'all using? Have y'all tried the old type of cartos with filler in them? Are you using Dekang? Can you tolerate the dryish taste of when your liquid runs out? If not, maybe the older wrapped cartos are for you, you think so?
Just saying 'chemical' really means nothing. Can you be more specific? If you're producing lots of vapor then your juice is really working good but you didn't mention if you're using Dekang or Ecopure either; are you using Dekang VG?

What's your favorite ecig, juice, and carto/bridge before trying this one?

I have 4 packs of Kr808-d1 dated 06/16.
Are they the 2.6 ohm for low voltage batteries? Or are they 3 ohm for the 3.7/4.2volt?

I guess I just can't get used to it ~.~
That is very possible, although I think it's actually better tasting, which menthol liquid are you using, and is it VG? What brand? try adding a drop or two directly to the coil to see if maybe the coil was starting to run a little dry.

but I wouldn't do what K2 mentioned of just letting sit there and sizzle, I think the normal airflow helps keep the liquid movig better so that little bits don't start clogging up the wick.

I have 4 packs of Kr808-d1 dated 06/16. They all have the taste people are talking about. I think the best I can describe it is like burned metal? vapor production is excellent. oh I find the only way to cover up the weird taste is to only use menthol juice LOL

I guess I just can't get used to it ~.~
Yeah, menthol is my kicker. Every now and then I had a new cart that did not work very well. I fill them with Salem Menthol and use them as an after dinner mint. Or to occasionally refresh my taste while vaping my favorite tobacco.

Fortunately, I do not have a problem with bad taste and smell from the E-2's. Maybe I'm just too old to know the difference.

Something I noticed with manual batteries was that if I vaped it like I did with a regular attie then I would get a burnt taste, could be considered chemically or metallic in taste.

Instead of pressing the button then starting your inhale try starting your inhale then pressing the button and releasing the button just before finishing your inhale.

I find I get much better taste and still get awesome vapor this way.

All the best, Happy Vaping,
Wing.

I don't recall the details on all the posts about "chemical" taste and smell, but I'd be interested to know if people are experiencing this with the cartos that have the tight slots in the cup. I filled up a few extras yesterday with my normal juice, and when I grabbed one this morning it had a weird taste to it (I'd call it more like dishwashing liquid, but everyone's buds are different).

I pulled the carto apart, and sure enough - small slots... barely large enough for the wick to run through. I topped it off and placed a few drops of juice on the coil.... no chemical taste. It's coming back a little now but if I let it rest a few minutes between drags it's not as bad.

Those of you with the chemical taste problems: Pull 'em apart and see what you have in there. If you can barely see the slots cut in the cup you have the older style.
