I still need to work on my rolling technique. I'm still using 400 mesh and haven't gotten more than 50mm in my DuD :/

Yeah... It seems to me that I had the same problem too... Tried as I might, but I just cannot get more than 50mm of #400 mesh into the orion's wick hole. But with the #500, I could fit 70mm with room to spare...

Really...that's interesting. Maybe I'm not so wimpy after all :)

400 and 500 have the same thickness, maybe your 400 wasn't really 400....

Most the time I roll then burn..............LOL
So to do the frost I need to burn, roll, then burn?
I think I will stick with Roll and then Burn.
It's working for me.

You can do either. I've had the best success with the 500 burning, then rolling, and then going over it again.

For the wide widths, burning allows me to tighten it up better I have found.

It's working for me.

Basically, the Jackfrost method is flaming the mesh till it's sort of dull gray(or grey depending on which shade) without quenching the mesh in VG or any liquid of any sort.

Before this, everyone was quenching their oxidised mesh in PG, VG, water and whatnots.

For some understanding, check out the ob's thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...zer-systems/309261-wick-coil-tips-tricks.html post #3.

I usually cut it longer, 'Frost' it, check for hair (or sideburns), then roll it, then cut it to height, then 'Frost' the cut part.

Well, as long as it's working for you... :vapor:

Somebody said that burning before you roll makes it easier to roll because it stiffens the mesh or makes it lose it's memory. In other words it doesn't fight you so much when you try to roll it. It works for me.

Been mucking around. Here's an 11/12 wrap on the line with 30g Kanthal that I'm running at 10 watts.
I'll grab a video soon. I loaded it up with a full tank and wan't to run it dry so I can make sure all the coils are working properly first. I'll keep you posted.

Impressive wraps. Did you do it free hand or pre-wrap on a screw or 'sumpin'?

Unfortunately with the Line, I have no choice but to do it freehand as it would be beyond me trying to wrap tightly around the negative post in reverse. Screws are the go, but I still enjoy playing with this old fashioned genny:)

I studied engineering not economics. In economics you assume and from that assumption you declare a proof. Most threads and posts I read, the proofs are based on the economics way and not the scientific.

Kinda like ... I'm assuming I'm going broke buying all these vaping goodies ... Wifey opens up my wallet, turns it upside down and as you point out ... proves it!!! :D
