Here is a link to a thread that talks about COPD and how it was improved with esmoking -
Here's another about the experiences of asthmatics -

Thanx Kate, that thread was very informative. I have most concern about my lungs and cancer. I have read about weird skin conditions on here, eye crusts, smelly urine or whatnot, dry throat... very strange. I come from a family mostly of doctors and nurses and will share any info I get from them on the boards, but 4 now I am still waiting for my ecig to show them in hopes they will purchase/use ecigs and give proper analysis to report.
What we do know is too much of anything isnt good for us, ie: water, vitamins etc.

Nadia, when I have tried quitting with nicotine products, some of your side effects occur. Urine and BM smell stronger of nicotine because the other crap is gone. Constipation, goes away as we adjust, cause the analogs stimulated it, or did me. I woke this morning with a crusty left eye and think it's because, not sure, I rubbed my eye before washing my hands after handling nicotine juice last night. Dry throat? too much vaping more likely but many other reasons too. Here I was more concerned about a heart attack and/or cancer cause my mum died of it, and emphysema creeps up on me. Go figure. Bloody cigarettes. I wish there was some way we could make the cigarette companies pay for out e cigs. I started when they had the alluring ads and even said it can't harm you.:grr:

i think your guess is a good as mine. some studies on some liquids maintain that the all the ingredients in them are safe for consumption but we're the real lab rats.

you could use just straight PG or VG and add some 100% natural flavours like bickfords or some of the Lor anne range if you want a taste and to go perhaps the safest route. but i'm not qualified to give any exact advice really..sorry

Lab rats, good analogy. And the truth.

hello ladybug...:)

you know,it wouldnt surprise me if i was slightly deficient in vitamin D3-especially now that its winter time...i think i'll start taking cod liver oil and multi-vitamins and see what happens...

in fact i wouldnt be surprised if at least some peoples supposed ecig symptoms were due to some sort of deficiency...sometimes its hard to pin down a definite cause for some things...

and yes,the quality of sleep we get is so very important for our general wellbeing...it can affect all aspects of our lives...

unfortunately ive been a hopeless insomniac all my adult life...so i can feel how that effects me in all sorts of ways daily...its not nice...
i really envy people who can go to bed at night and sleep well regularly...

Good morning everyone. I'm really ticked on a photo I can't optimize the way I want. Took a break.

I'm still learning how to things in here. Somehow I subscribed to this section/category. How do I to others; just talk on them?

Part of my severe coughing I found elsewhere. Need to find out how to safely clean atomizer. It had an awful taste and I think too much liquid.

I have NJOY pen style. Is there one better & cheaper that looks more like a cig? I like the way this one smokes for me, but I want to get one for my sister asap. Don't think she'll go for the pen. On tight budget from being sick and no work. Looking for cheaper but good juice and carts. Should I go somewhere else to seek. Kate, you know a lot. You can reply on my site.

BTW: researching, found a couple Asian sites that sell real cheap if you have time to wait for delivery. I know some of the companies here use them for bulk. Anyone know of these?

Not a bulk site but I have ordered from bestecig.com

Beci there was very helpful.....answered questions immediately....and each order was rec'd in 5 days. I did have to pay $20 shipping but I bought enough stuff to make it worth it (wouldn't want to order a $10 item then pay $20 shipping!)

I was thinking about ordering some things from ecig.com but others here have cautioned against it, citing long delivery waits (like months) and non-working products when rec'd. Since I never did end up ordering from them, I can't speak about them personally.

Has anyone noticed heartburn or indigestion from lack of nicotine? I've noticed that taking only a low dose can cause these symptoms for me. I use a couple of drops of high occasionally when I feel this coming on and it seems to go away. It might be that I've become used to too high a dose and just need an adjustment period.

Kate: What do you mean about high? Stronger drop? I'v been experiencing some heartburn and indigestion but I thought it was from food I ate. I don't know if it's true the NJOY cartridges equal more cigs. I seem to puff more or more than I smoked reg. cigs. but I have no way to compare. I have heard it's not true the ones I use last longer. I'd like to try VP juice but was told by NJOY they do not recommend it because it can be dangerous. I wonder if anyone has had real negative results from juice. I can look for a talk site on that.

I have had at least a few more episodes of heartburn since I started. But I did eat later on those nights and feel I ate too much. Fell asleep soon after which contributes to heartburn as well as what combination of food eaten. I think I'll keep a better watch on this. Thanks for the info to watch.

Mr.Darcy: Had blood drawn Tues. this week to check my vitamin D3 level and something else I forgot. Doc says it takes about 5 days for results. I will let you know results and what doc says to do. My coughing stopped but I noticed the last two mornings I coughed for awhile when first vamping but it went away. I can't help but feel the vapor is causing it and it could be from the condition of my lungs this past episode. Doc recommended seeing a lung specialist if I get bad again. Also, last prednisone pill was Mon. Not sure it that kept me from coughing for awhile. ALSO, I noticed I've been waking a lot the last few nights and hot with the indoor temp. around 65º.

Too much nicotine can cause heartburn and indigestion but I was wondering if too little can also.

I've been using lower doses of nicotine recently and was getting symptoms which went away when I used a couple of drops of high (18mg) juice.

It might be my imagination, that's why I was asking here to see if anyone else has experienced this.

The only time I have gotten heartburn a lot from using a nicotine product was when i was dipping tobacco. Aka skoal etc. The smokeless tobacco you put between your gum. I think that stuff is powerful and gives you a ton of nicotine. I always got like acid heartburn using it. So I think it does have something to do with nicotine. not sure if lack of nicotine does it, maybe its possible?
