I see, thanks supa. Then my atomizer doesnt work on those mods. Time to redesign then!
If you can design it without having to tie nr to r then you would make a lot of people very very happyalthough I would still buy it either way
Just to add though, if you use the atomizer in drip mode on a regular mod (provari, caravela, etc) without a tank, BUT still have flow/basic control, you risk it flooding and leaking down that same hole into the contact of the mod. I would imagine if you turn OFF all control, this likely won't be a problem. If you accidentally leave basic open, and don't have GGTS collection tank, UFS, etc, it'll leak.
I'm speaking because I don't know what your design is so that would have to factor in.
I, for one, still want the Ithaca.
Anyone knows how the bottom feeders work? Maybe I can readjust the designs for this little baby
Just casually strolling around ECF and lo and behold, someone reinvents the wheel. I almost wish I didn't read this thread because I will now be counting the months until this is ready to go out.
OMG, Imeo I can tell your brain never stops working.I prefer Proteus first, but I completely trust your judgement and I will patiently wait for your genius to come to fruition. Whatever you make first second etc... I know will be whats best for all of us. That you even discuss this with your customers eliciting feedback is just incredible. I salute you my friend as you make vaping a wonderful experience for all.

There are two basic types of bottom feeders: sealed and needle fed.
Sealed are like the reos, where the feeder takes over the center post and feeds juice through there. The air is drawn from the side holes, and as such, they require a battery connection in the "ash tray" style, with slots to allow the air into the threads (most connectors have these).
Note that this is also how air gets into a typical sealed mod (most every non cig-a-like mod)... e.g. an Ego has a sealed connector, which doesn't allow airflow into the center, and relies on the side holes for intake as well.
The needle fed are like the Phidius, where the bottle in the bottom has a needle top that fits into the center hole. These can pull air in the side holes, and also through the center, as the needle doesn't make a seal.
FYI the best attys I've found for bottom feeders (mine are the sealed kind) are these vapage hybrid for bottom feeders:
You can see the notches at the base of the 510 sleeve. They've moved the air holes to there so that they drain excess liquid into the catch cup of the mod, and moves the air intake above the threads to remove the variance in connector slot size and airflow. These don't work in a UFS, since they bypass the juice control and flood. I'm not convinced that air holes on the stem above the threads would perform poorly, though. If the center pin is sealed, gravity will bring it up into the catch cup anyhow. The center hole was originally there for 'automatic' batteries, which fire when drawn. I don't think there is really any significant airflow into the center hole on any push button mod... the threads block that path pretty thoroughly.
I think this is a very good idea! Can't wait to try it!
The end of cartomizers is coming....no cartos no holes no bad taste in the tanks anymore...go on Imeo
