don't even have to vape tank dry..just close CR and remove tank..do the mod and put it back together...I did mine np..

Oh yes indeed I agree... but I thought it might be a good time to break everything down, clean, polish, sand contact point, noalox threads and rebuild... then all nice and shiny again.

It's so hot in London at the moment and my sweaty hands are eating away at the GG :-(

Yes you can always find a reason to polish and clean the GG. It always works so much better after that. The only problem is you don't really want to touch it after that. It shines so nicely any finger print damages that shine. I wash my hands real good after a good clean so I can use the GG without messing up my work. For a little while anyway.

Just did this mod by accident. GGTS fell from desk with AFS attached, killed the 901 adapter. When I tightened the AFS back up, the new 901 adapter sunk into the system along with the rest of the guts.

Yes Lisa kinda found out the same way. By mistake. A happy mistake.

when put new adapter on all the centre top was lose. When AFS screwed in all the adapters / plunger etc went in to the main body. Had to slacken of the brass at the bottom for battery to fit.

All works, no gap

Good to be drunk some times.
