I am on my second week with afs v2 on 6V using the same i6. :)

On first week, I overflooded the atty a lot and got juice on my hands, afs and on the body of my ggts! The first few days I was sure that the bottom o-ring was leaking all the time! Also, I was getting burnt taste often! But I was enjoying it!

The last 3 days, every inconvenience just stopped! I can feel when it needs more fluid, or when more air and open / close the ring in tiny steps subconsiously. I think it's like driving, we get to know exactly how much we should press the accelerator / brake after driving a car for a while and we do it automatically.

So either I learned how to use AFS v2 correctly, of AFS learned how I vape and adjusted itself accordingly :p

I think it is a wonderful little machine that will change forever the way we vape. It doesn't work fully unmanaged (in my case with the specific atomizer at least), but give Imeo some time and it will! For now AFS never leaves my ggts.

Of course we are talking about minor inconveniences of the best auto-feeder, there isn't anything else that even gets close to this.

dah i'm so lost reading all of it, can't wait for it to arrive so i'll know what u call a Control ring,a liquid ring, and whatever.

And btw, imeo, gg website designer.
You should actually name every component, so if someone says "open the control ring 1/4 to the right" we'll know what he is talking about. A sort of index, so everyone use the same language. Will prevent a lot of misunderstandings

ok buddy, you are correct

Adjustable ring witch is also the locking liquid ring will be "CR" (control Ring)

AFS tank will be "the tank"

The small upper cap that keeps o-ring in place will be the "small cap"

The cap that we open to refill will be the "big cap"

The brass strange thing that we connect the atomizer, will be the "connector"

The proper names are in my first post here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/89956-afs-advices.html

You mean like this? :D

AFSv2_numbered_small.jpg

  1. Brass connector
  2. Control ring
  3. Tank
  4. Main cap/big cap
  5. Top cap/upper cap/small cap

Vaping on a cartomizer with whistle tip mod at 7.4v in my AFS. I drilled two 0.5mm holes and tried it at 6v, it flooded so I upped the voltage. It is now working well but I don't think it will last long. I think I will try one hole and see what happens.

I drilled one hole on my cartomizer and was very careful not to get into the center tube or filler material. WORKS PERFECTLY,,,, no flooding, no burnt taste at ALL!! Hole was about 8mm up from the threads and about .5mm (smaller than the vent hole on a 901.)

NOW if we can just get them with hole and in HV we are set.... a cheap solution to the AFS. And as someone just said, A great backup to carry around....

Thanks for all the help again, and since everyone was so helpful before, I have another question I hope someone could provide input for.

I had a new issue that popped up this morning. I'm sure it's something I doing wrong (or possibly bad atomizers), but I'm at a loss to what to check/look at.

After washing my AFS, including the I3 atty, to get rid of a flavor of e-juice I tried but didn't like at all, I put everything back together with some fresh juice (same juice I was using for the past few days in the AFS). It was probably the 6 or 7th time I had disassembled/reassembled the AFS.

The problem I am having now is the opposite of flooding. I don't seem to be getting enough juice to the atty. Even if I close the draw completely (or almost completely, I've tried both) and suck I don't get a good amount of juice flowing (although I can get some with a tigh enough draw, just usually not enough). I CAN get juice (and flooding :) by removing the top cap and replacing it.

I tried taking things apart and putting them back together again a couple of times.

I thought maybe I had done something to the atty by washing it (I had never done it before...) so I replaced it with a spare. With the spare I have a very "tight" draw so that even with the draw holes wide open I still have to pull hard. Even with that "tight" draw I'm having the same problem with juice flow. (again I tried disassembling/reassembling the AFS)

I've been playing with it all day, but can't quite seem to get it working like I had it before, and am constantly opening the cap to get juice to the atty.

It's quite conceivable I did something very wrong (lost o-ring, something in the wrong place) but I can't figure it out and am not sure where to look for problem. Maybe a hole I should be looking at that may be blocked somehow?

It's also conceivable I am just having an off day, and temporarily forgot how I am supposed to use the AFS :)

Edit: Just remembered I had a new v2 i6 atty also so I gave it a try, and it seems to be working well. I'm thinking now that I may have damaged the first atomizer in some way when washing it, and that the second might just be defective. I'll go back and try the i3's again tomorrow, see what happens, and post an update. I just wanted to get this quick update in before anyone worries too much about it...

Thanks

so i can use the afs2 on any device with 901 threads, correct?
and if i have 510 threads i just need the 510-901 adapter?
Correct with one exception that I know of. A Chuck with a 901 fitting. Because of the deep well you may have to use a 901 to 510 and back to a 901.

Hi vsot45! ... "I had a new v2 i6 atty also so I gave it a try, and it seems to be working well" ..That is meaning that the problem is from your attie...

You should know that when we wash our atties with water, we should dry them very good because if there is water in the coil then the steam is poor...(personally I leave 24h my atties to dry) ..Also you can blow at the holes of your attie to see if they are blocked so they cannot supply with juice the attie`s bridge

I hope I helped :)
