There have been some people that soak their switch assembly in lime
juice for about 15 minutes. The lime
juice seems to have a high enough ph to clean the contacts without eating the plastic as long as you don't leave it in for more than 15 minutes.
The warranty on the switch is a manufacturer's warranty and since the manufacturer is no longer in business, the switch cannot be warrantied by the manufacturer. Since Apex Vapor stopped making Alpha parts they stopped supplying us with parts so we are in the same situation as you. Ya, it sucks!
