Except for one thing....the pressure nut from tightening the bottle cap :)

Is there some kind of learned guideline about not letting it get lower than x level?

ME:
Removing the bottle probably released the excess pressure inside the bottle. This can happen from over tightening the bottle I believe. Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

I was right about releasing the pressure but wrong about over tightening the bottle. I wasn't sure about over tightening the bottle so I was half right. The end....I hope. ;)

Hurray, I'm vaping on the Reomizer with FC-2000 Porous Wick.

When used on the Reomizer approximately 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch long it's not fragile at all.

I'm Mr two thumbs and I never would have gotten it working on a Genesis , not with 28 Gauge Wire, but on the Reo it's doable.
Just wrap it,4 wraps made .9Ohm than put in and pull from the posts with a pliers to tighten. I used alot of force but I don't see any slack around the Porous Ceramic Wick

By the way it tastes great! I'm only into my first hour but I can see that it's a winner.
.9 Ohm at 4.2V with 18mg Liquid, Oh my gosh I'm dizzy

For use in a Reo they are very inexpensive because you'll get around 3 or 4 per stick and supposedly they last forever.
Boil and torch them every once in awhile.

I was really lucky because the company I bought from shipped late and I called and started talking with the owner and he threw in 3 broken Wicks, useless to him, but plenty big for my Reomizer. It translates into around 8 extra wicks for my Reomizer. Which will probably last me forever. I'm going to end up trading the whole ones to my local vape shop for stuff.
Everyone is curious about them.

One thing I wish is that the squonk/drain hole in the ceramic was positioned more equally in-between the 2 posts. That way, it would be a bit easier to position the coil directly over it.
I have 0 wicking problems.
I just squonk while the unit is facing straight up.

Wick is saturated and bottle pulls the excess back down.

Tom, what did you do to divide up the ceramic wick into smaller pieces? Just break it with your fingers?
I just used a wire cutter snipper. Came in a Radio Shack Tool Kit
snipper.jpg
When I cut it it was dry.

Just now I just cut another wick down to make sure that the first time sucess wasn't a fluke, and it cut perfectly this time too.

I was anxious to start, and the wicks arrived at work, so I ran them through a Moka Pot Coffee Maker twice. Put in the filter part so hot water would be forced through it.Manufacturer recommended boiling for around 4 minutes.

Than I soaked them in 1/2 e-liquid and 1/2 Water for around 2 hours. Manufacturer recommends 3 hour soak.

After an hour it's wicking beautifully and the taste is very pure.

Believe you me, I'm Mr Two Thumbs and if I can do it anyone can. The trick is to loosen the post and pull the wire from the back very hard to tighten the wire. Than do it on the other side. If you use 32 Gauge it should be really easy.

I believe that the wet ceramic absorbes the heat, so instead of my usual sweet spot of .8Ohm at 4.0 , I upped it to 4.2V. Since I'm on a Reo Thread I won't play up that I'm very impressed that my VV Box can sustain .9Ohm at 4.2v. My Provari Vs 2 won't even recognize the atomizer.

I had to test the Ohms using a Multimeter.

What diameter fc2000 did you buy? Curious, I might give it a shot.

1/8" and it's the absolute cleanest tasting wicking material for the Reomizer [xc-116 Aside]

Leaves Stainless Steel Mesh in the dust! After around 3 hours I'm getting way more vapor than SS Mesh and very clean.

As for economical
I paid $25.00 [Including Shipping] for 3 wicks which for the Reomizer is 9 wicks. So under $2.75 a wick,
when you consider the life span of the Ceramic, it comes out to over a year or two of wicks.

Do you have to squonk a lot with the ceramic? That was the main thing I did not like about ss mesh. I had to squonk every 2 puffs with it.

Depends on your definition of a puff. Mine went 1 1/2 very long vapes. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Remember I'm at .8Ohm and 4.2v that's some intense vaping and it slurps juice up.

HRH hates ss mesh alone which is why i have always made a hybrid wick with it, using either cotton or yarn thru it. That makes for better squonking too since the cotton wicks faster. I have heard finer ss - maybe 500+ comes close. The ceramic looks fascinating.
