I am pretty sure air bags have saved far more lives than they have hurt; same as with seat belts...
Tell that to the families of the people killed by them, what do you say? Ooopsie?
Regardless of the argument that protecting us from ourselves may or may not be a good thing...

How many vapers have been killed by exploding mods?
And how many vapers may have been saved from the effects of smoking for a lifetime?

I think the answer is pretty clear, to the unbiased folks who understand the science.

How about those amazing regulatory bodies you hold in such high regard should do their jobs and avoid those tragic end results all together?

Ultimately the manufacturer is responsible for defective products. Say I am running air brake tubing on my line at work. The design of the product meets NHTSA, SAE and a host of other standards. I check samples, as does QC, but if bad product goes go out the door, and there is catastrophic failure in the field, ultimately it would be me and the company I work for which is responsible, not NHTSA, which doesn't test a sample from every reel I make...

Jeeze... Hundreds of Thousands at the Very Least. Vapers are Dropping like Flies out there.

It is a Widespread Pandemic in My Mind.

As soon as I post this, I'm going to Write Boxer and Diane F and tell them, No - Demand, that they Do Something about this.

I see. Once enough people die, then regulation should take place...

You seem pretty sure of that....

There seems to quite a few hits when you search "seatbelt safety" and "are seatbelts safe" indicating that this is by no means a fringe or "extremist" position. Just something to think about.

Seat Belts and Air Bags are a Example of Good Regulation.

And Millions and Millions of Dollars was Spent and Countless Man Hours were performed to Ensure that they were as Effective/Safe as Possible.

Do you think the Same should be Done for Flashlights?

I wonder what the Income Tax Increase would have to be and the Size of the Government that would be Needed is Every Product that ran off a Battery had to Undergo the same Testing and Evaluation that Seatbelts and Airbags did?

You seem to think every product sold which is regulated has undergone the testing seat belts and airbags have...

No, not at all. You are right, and I never saw it until now.

We need to stop all things that can ever kill anyone under any circumstances, no matter how low the number of deaths.
No matter what the percentages say.

Which would pretty much eliminate everything, everywhere, at all times.

If you eat salmon, please stop, now!
Oh, wait, that's already regulated to your satisfaction?

Well, if a geography professor says seat belts don't save lives, then I'm sold... I suppose helmets don't save the lives of bikers, either...

Perhaps you don't see the difference between regulation and elimination of a product... Short of malfunction, not a single gun has ever killed anyone. Should there be no regulations concerning firearms?

Fair Enough. So Let's start from Square One.

How Many people have Died from e-Cigarettes Exploding in this Country Every Year?

How Many people have Died from e-Cigarettes Exploding in this Country Total?

How Many People Use e-Cigarettes in this Country?

Hey man its just something to look into. Not sure what a geography professor has to do with it. Never said anything about helmets either.

No idea, but given the trend in the industry and poorly made PRC devices, give it time...
