Huh? When I googled that they were all over the place.

Where? I don't see anything about a Variable Wattage Provari when I google. The Provari is a Variable Voltage device, but I think a lot of users would prefer to regulate the wattage of their device. The Darwin does this, but imo, it has a really undesirable form factor.

Although VW is probably in the future, they don't currently have any plans for it, at least not publicly. Also, it will have nothing to do the the DNA chip. The DNA chip is made by Evolv, which is the company behind the Darwin. Not to mention that the Provari uses custom electronics.

I mean, the DNA chip may be made by Evolv, but I can't imagine they would have a problem with Provape using the circuitry. It kind of seems like they purposely made the chip to allow other PV manufacturers to use it. I heard somewhere that they have a patent on the technology, so this might be their way of selling it without having to make PVs anymore. I have no idea, just a guess.

Something like the Nivel Chip would be sweet. You can run it in VV or VW mode.

Wow, that is feature-packed! Seems really hard to get atm though. I honestly don't care how it happens, but it would be nice to get VW in a Provape PV. With these chips, it seems like it may be closer to a reality.

What I meant was, the supplier kinda makes a big deal how the Provari has their own custom circuit, or whatever they call it. My point was based on that, I doubt they would do variable power until they come up with their own custom thing to do that.

Heck I wonder how the dimensions of the Nivel compare to the current Provari chip... Perhaps some pioneering mod out there might want to look into it... Just saying.

Just seen this "Lexi" for the first time just now, wow what a nice PV!!

With the technology available today, when or if vaping ever becomes more mainstream, there is no doubt in my mind we will soon have PVs that do everything except make phone calls, and they might even do that! One thing they must be is bottom feed!

In other words.....if Apple made a PV...

Ya know, if that were the case, and yeah I can see that happening down the road.... I'd still be using my provari v2. Or making something by hand since I don't want a gps tracker, rfid that tells Them where I've been going, my vape settings, vape frequency, what I had for breakfast....

The USA distributor for The Nivel Chip will be my guest on Click, Bang! Tuesday January 1st at 9PM EST.

In our interview, he will discuss all of the relevant details for buying The Nivel Chip. Nivel chips will begin shipping on January 2nd.

You can listen to the interview live on Tuesday January 1st at 9PM EST here:

VV and VW do essentially the same thing.

VW is better for rebuildable atomizers (RBA). VW will account for the difference in the resistance of the coil, and automatically calculate the appropriate voltage to reach the desired wattage.

If your constantly using say store bought 2.8Ω atomizers/heads then there isn't much need for VW. From what I've noticed there tends to be this view that VW is an end all major game changer, when its just a minor tweak for convenience.

I could see Provape adding VW in the V3 of the Provari. As I've been getting way more into RBA I'd like it (especially for the $20-30 it costs to upgrade it) but I'm in no absolute need for it. I've gotten my coiling down that they come out very similar in ohms and then just adjust the voltage based on my current tastes.

So what exactly is the point of having VW on top of having VV? If VV allows you to control how hot you burn your juice, what does VW do?

The point of VW is to allow you to set the power and the device does the math to figure out the voltage based on the ohms of your coil.
VV can do the same thing but you do the math.

VV works best for some and VW for others. I prefer VW though I like have devices that provide the option to use either. Most devices that I've had/seen with VW also support VV. I'd expect that VW would be a standard equipment on devices by this time next year if the government doesn't ban e-cigs.
