Pretty much the same story for me. Whenever I need to vape in public, I stand at the upwind edge of the smoker's ring. Some seem to notice what I'm doing but never pay more attention than that. So far, only non-smokers or very occasional smokers have asked it if worked (other than the people I know).

I had a girlfriend that started vaping with me. She actually took me to the shop for the first time and that's where I really got into it. Now she's hours and hours of driving time from here because she had to move back home. I spend a lot of time at the vape shops when I go so I can actually talk with someone about builds and vaping and vape face to face with people. I even enjoy the attention my Provari gets at airport checkpoints. I almost asked a woman who was buying a starter kit to go out with me yesterday... well I definitely should have asked if she was single. Lonely you say? VERY!

A bunch of my friends quit smoking. They look at vaping and try to tell me I am wasting my time, energy, money. I don't know. I guess I don't possess the same willpower on quitting smoking that they do. That said, I have tried to help a few friends move from smoking to vaping, and so far I am 1 for 2. Most recent buddy is trying, but I think me vaping away on a mod and blowing a bit of vapor out (not cloud chasing, but more than his tank/battery setup I gave him is producing) is deterring him a little and keeping the analogs in his pocket. So last night I tossed him a mod setup. Hoping it pushes him away from the analogs for good.

As for other people, I only have one buddy I talk to regularly whom I met at local go-to B&M. I see other people that I occasionally chat up at said B&M.

Almost forgot to mention (and I have in other threads), that my boss is the reason I got into vaping, and I have him to thank; as well as he is my most commonly talked to fellow vaper. It's cool because one minute we will be on a work related call and the next minute we'll be shootin the breeze about gear or juices. Don't think that work could be any better and this is part of the reasoning!

Although there are quite a few Vape Shops in the San Francisco area, aside from Vape meets, I see very few vapers out in the wild.

Now, in Las Vegas, I see vapers just about everywhere I go. While shopping at Town Square, it's not unusual for me to grab a seat and have people vaping at my sides.

Its not all that uncommon here in Louisville Kentucky to see someone vaping. Maybe not as common as seeing someone puffing away on a coffin nail but its still a pretty new thing for me to even be on the lookout for.

I only have one friend that regularly vapes, she introduced me to vaping, another friend is more a dual user along with his wife.

I will from time to time hang out at one of our local vape shops and chat with folks. I'm surprised at how diverse the clients are, very old down to twenty something seems the norm.

Hey, Pete... I lived in Matawan for 5 years! I'm in PA now.

Yes, I'm a lonely vaper. My boss vapes, but our company is telecommute based - she's across the country from me. On his last visit I got my bf into vaping, but he lives several states away. I don't know anyone else who vapes besides you lovely folks here in the forum.

Its the same for me. I live near Albany, NY. A fairly big city and the capital of the state. Only one vape shop. The rest are smoke shops or head shops that sell some vape stuff. Ive worked all over the area and I rarely see other vapers. I had a smoking buddy at one place. We quit and started vaping together back in May of this year. We no longer work together but we talk often and we both still vape and do not smoke.

I have seen a few vapors around here but never really have had a chance to talk to any of them.

I do have several friends that vape but all live far away. I have tried to get my neighbor into vaping but she will only do so if I provide the gear, liquid etc. Which gets old. She is more than capable of going online and ordering stuff.

Like Amraann said most places you have to vape where smoking areas are its like that at my work. There are a good number of ppl that vape at my work. It is a very large place 2,000 + employees and the only smoking area is outside. Which sucks cause its hot here in the summer. I wish theyd utilize one of the various empty rooms they have in the back make it a vape room. I hate sitting outside with ppls ashes flying all over me.

How could I possibly feel lonely? There are eleven users looking at this very thread RIGHT NOW! Not to mention the other ~3000 people actively online at virtually any given time. <3

But in seriousness, I know a bunch of people who vape. Many of my friends smoked cigarettes, and I've gotten several of them to switch (if not entirely, then somewhat) to vaping. My roommate smoked cigarettes primarily because I smoked them. He was someone who smoked the occasional weekend cigarette while drinking, and he started smoking ~ a pack a day once he moved in with me.

Once I stopped smoking, he didn't have someone to go outside with or have a cigarette with. As far as I know, he's back to being just a weekend smoker. He has a few ego-style batteries/tanks and I'll often see him tootin' around.

Another friend saw me vaping and now he might be more of an enthusiast than I am! He got his girlfriend on vaping, who proceeded to get all 4 of her housemates off analogs and into vaping. I was just thinking today that I need to call them up and see when they can hang out, they've been making the move to various box mods/higher-end devices, and I'm interested in going over and hanging out with them to try their new gear.

Also there's vape shops! Often when I go to get juice, I'll buy my juice and then sit around for 20-60 minutes just vaping my new juice, talking about new gear, talking about crazy stories or incidents, helping customers coming into the store.. To be honest, I don't feel lonely ever! My co-workers know about and endorse my vaping, and one has taken "dry puffs" (just a pull without firing the device) because she just really liked the smell of the flavor I was vaping on.

I started vaping it was a couple of guys at work at the same time, out of which just me and one other guy kept vaping, since then i've changed jobs.
Now i only know one person that i see here and there that vapes, but he's stuck at the 650+CE4 stage forever (boring).
Other then that i don't see anyone anywhere vaping.
Seems my country is in regression, the vaping community is shrinking instead of growing.

Woooot?!

Like Reo meets Provari and out comes a little RDA ? ;)

Like "Missed Vape Connections":

"Saw you vaping in Central Park. You had blue eyes, blonde hair, and a cute shirt. I liked your smile and seeing you made me wonder.. What device was that? Is it a clone or authentic?"

"I was struck by the beauty.. Of your AR Mod."
