Sure it's a little obsessive... I don't know that I'd call it creepy. It's the "gadget factor". Wait'll ya start making your own mods out of flashlights and battery boxes and then she'll wonder what happened to her glue gun and then you'll start eye-balling the rechargable electric mixer in the kitchen ....

Now you're makin' me think of one of those recent contest videos I watched... the Kenmore mod... ;) I'd post a link, but can't even remember the group that did the contest! Aha... thank you Google: YouTube - Kenmore MOd

So this morning my wfe, whom I love dearly and is pregnant at the moment, got all up in my .... because I all I care about is vaping. Obviously not true. She has been a big support through it all but finds that I am "creepy" when all I do is talk about vaping and ohms and PVs.

Deja vu, my friend has a pregnant wife and is obsessed with vaping. He is a little creepy with his enthusiasm but it's new to him and now that I'm into it I'm getting a little creepy about it too :p

Well one thing that I have learned in my vaping time is that non-vapers and non-smokers find our enthusiastic chatter about devices and liquids just as tiresome as the unending baby talk from new parents and parents to be. (yes, I was a little hurt at first, especially since some were downright nasty about it!) Best to try to keep it down and save our obsession for here. As supportive as a friend or SO can be, there is only so much they can stand! Like someone suggested there should be more to us and more to life than flavors, devices, liquids, reviews ad nauseaum.

Yeah... that is why I don’t talk about it to folks quite as much as I did in the first week.... if they want to know about it... I tell them. And they do eventually get curious ( particularly the smokers ) and they do end up asking me more about it… I just don’t initiate the conversation like I used to.

I still laugh at the original question in this thread, my wife thought this eGo looked creepy, and she hated the idea of the manual button, and after 24 hours... she stole my second unit, and quit smoking herself... Hey! Leggo my eGo!

My DH quit analogs in '04. He was supportive in the beginning of my vaping career but now every once in a while (in front of people) he'll say, 'so how long do you have to do that for?' or 'so when are you quitting vaping then?'. I've given different answers, but the last time I plainly said 'when I go back to smoking tobacco, dear'. I don't think he'll ask again.

He doesn't think it's creepy. He's a gadget guy and I think there is a little envy he will not admit to. I will only discuss PVs with smokers or PV users. They are the only ones who have real interest and can get excited about it. This forum is a huge part of my success.

OP - Your life now should be the baby channel in HD (BCHD) ...all baby...all the time.
CONGRATULATIONS!

None has actually said anything to me but I have gotten some stares. I was in a casino vaping away and people looked at me like I was an alien. I thought it was funny.
As for my wife, she's glad I spend more time on the battery than on the fire stick. She has watched go from a pack and a half to a half to a quarter in a month. She does not believe that I will get to zero analogs but I do.

Haven't been called "creepy" (yet), but SO did call me "strange." Only vaping for 1 week and trying to stay pretty cool and quiet about it around him because he's the one who REALLY needs to switch. OMG, that cough! But I'm hoping if I keep somewhat mysterious about it he'll get curious and interested enough to give it a try. I've got some extra bats and cartos right now and am going to order some super strong tobacco-flavored e-juice just in case. (Crossing fingers!)

A lesson for women everywhere.

Men don't get subtle hints. Men don't get obvious hints. Men don't get curious. We understand CHALLENGE.

You want him to get interested? Take a drag, say something like "Whoah! This stuff is strong! It's probably a good thing you don't want to try this stuff honey!"...then leave it lying around.

10 bucks says he'll at least try it out.

I've got $10.00 on that also. No man could resist that kind of temptation.....

I'm blessed to have complete support from family and friends. I do wonder about the appearance of me, in public, sucking on a black stick with a mouthpiece that appears to have no source of ignition, and blowing out "smoke" with an "ahhh" look on my face. The word "creepy" does come to my mind, at times. My PV's an Ego-t, black. About the size of Macanudo Claybournes I used to puff every once in a while, way back. But it's such a perfect solution to a deadly serious problem, I do it anyway. After all, having a stick of a smoking weed hanging out of your mouth is rather ridiculous in itself.

I too am very animated about vaping. I know no other vapers, personally, so I'm on my own, in that respect. Otherwise, we'd likely burn each others ears off and wear out our vocal cords going on and on about this vapor or that device as we puffed away. As it is, the only drawback is my excessive bouts of provoking boredom in my friends when I go off on a rant about vaping to them. It's slowing down some, now, a month into it.

My wife started having fits of laughter. She says "Oh boy.. you love your little toy" and now she gets giggles every time I'm changing batteries or whatever else. She finally asked who I love more 'the toy cigarette or me?'... I looked at her.. looked back at my Joye Ego... back at her....

I don't know if 'creepy' is the word but she does seem to think I have a strange obsession. She likes it thought. A lot. She hates cigarettes and the Vaping does not bother her the slightest.
