Well, I just went ahead and pulled the trigger on an authentic Aqua v2. Very excited to get it! My plan is to run an NI200 build in it for my Vapor Flask dna 40 that's on its way to me. I figure I will do a 30ga. dual coil build as I saw that that worked well for you, Sedge.....I will be sure to report back as soon as I have a chance to build it and vape it! :)

I started a thread. I don't believe they fell off the Footoon truck and were sold to FT :)

Apparently they did! I got a notification today from FastTech. They have taken this down for the time being. Apparently the Chinese manufacturing plant is selling these to Fastech. Footoon's company has started proceedings for them to stop selling their devices.

This is not uncommon in China. About 15 years ago Beanie Babies had their goods manufactured in a Chinese factory. A lot of VERY good clones (counterfeits) started showing up on the market. Bottom line.... the manufacturing plant was making the orders from Beanie Babies and then doing their own at night using same materials, dies, machines etc. In essence their were genuine items, but not being ordered or authorized by the original company.

This seems to fit this pattern with the Aqua V2 in this case. Again, I got this notice because I ordered the item when first announced on this thread. When I get it in my hands I will update you all.

I've decided I don't want to get involved in the drama about the FT authentic/OEM/clone/whatever :D. I ordered one, and am just hoping its decent.

I do have a question on wicking though. Are all of you putting a tapered tail in the side wicking channels? Or is anyone just leaving a big fat shoulder on their wicks at the top of the deck with no tail?

I have an authentic and feel the airflow is more than adequate imo, but that can change from person to person. Not sure if this will mean much to you but I am one of the people who cannot use a kayfun anymore due to the restrictive nature of the airflow. The aqua v2 is not as airy as say my Orchid, but it does provide very sufficient airflow.

I received my new Aqua V2 from VaporDNA today. Needed a good cleaning but everything looks very good. Decided to run it on a single coil for my first build. 26 Gauge 8 wraps came out to .85 ohms. I wanted as much air flow as possible so I left both air holes opened and packed the unused juice channels with cotton. Vapes very good. Great flavor and vapor for a single coil.

I wanted to keep the heat to a minimum so my juice will not cook before I get s chance to vape it.
The plastic tank is very fragile, one hit on the top and it’s going to crack. I think I will run the steal tank when I take it to work.
No problems with flooding or dry hits, I have vaped it up to 20 watts or 4.2 volts and the wicking keeps up with me.
Wish it had a little more air flow, but that’s about the only thing that I would want to change
