Yeah, I went browsing all the different AFC driptips after I posted that, and came to same conclusion, that they won't help, that I really need a driptip with a very small hole. I did try a kayfun driptip, TD, and that worked pretty well, but.. I just can't stand the way those look, they remind me of baby-bottle nipples. :D I'm thinking of getting another "genie" driptip for it, a black one, because that one really does have a small opening, and they're also pretty dang tall, so that gives me some distance from the hot coil. I think that may be my best solution.

Can't figure out why everyone was saying the Derringer has "restricted" air flow if you use just one hole... it's not true; I've got the barest edge of just one hole showing, and I can't feel any resistance in the draw AT ALL, just none, it's like trying to "smoke a straw." I'm really disappointed. So far, of RDAs, only the Magma seems really suited to tootling. I find the Veritas a *little* too airy, even with the barest edge of airhole showing, but I think it might also be helped with a driptip that has a skinny hole. But I like the Magma's architecture the best; with an o-ring under the AFC ring, you can remove the threaded cap without disturbing the AFC setting, and that is TERRIFIC. With the others, you have to readjust the AFC everytime you take the cap off, and it's a pain. Think I'll just get another Magma, maybe a black one this time.

Most adjustable driptips are carburetor style, allowing you to mix air with the vape from your atomizer. Most vapers looking for AFC drip tips are looking to increase airflow for atomizers like the KFL.

What you want is a restricted driptip that uses a Kayfun-style adjustment, like this:

Here is something similar:

Unique Design ! Adjustable Air Flow Control 510 Ss Drip Tips Wholesale - Buy Ss Drip Tips,510 Ss Drip Tips,510 Ss Drip Tips Wholesale Product on Alibaba.com

I also remember seeing driptips with interchangeable diaphragms. But they were rather large on the OD.

ETA: If you are handy or have a handy friend, pick up a metal drip tip that can be drilled & tapped. Insert a thumb screw and you have an easily adjustable restricting drip tip.

I hope there are some Eliquid manufacturers paying attention to these polls! Tootle puffers are buying your juice and paying your rent!!! I am so tired of hearing how in order to get the best flavor from their fabulous juice, I need to vape the juice on a triple twisted neon coil with Japanese silkworm wicks at .001 ohms and 40 watts or higher! DANG!!!!
As I have said before, I am trying to replace smoking -- not fog up the stage for a Bon Jovi concert. I never would have stuck five cigarettes in my mouth to try and get more "CLOUD"!!!

Bravo!!!!! Heck, I can hardly wrap a single coil much less a triple silkworm one. Very well said Nanny!

Yeah, but that's alibaba -- where you have to buy like 1000! Totally useless for a regular person.

I'll just stick with getting a genie driptip for my Derringer.

Filled one of the T3's up with DIY FC blueberry-sweet and it vipes nice. A stiffer draw than the Evods but ok and I will need to rewick with a cotton wick. The stock 1.8 silica leaves a bit to be desired.
Have to see about increasing the airflow a bit after rewickiing.

Robert, just use a 1/16" drill bit and drill just one of the air holes out. You'll be amazed at the difference.

Yep what I did on my Evods a week or so ago.
Got the new cotton coil in one too.

It still did not breathe well until I rebuilt the coil and got rid of those flavor wicks that were plugging things up.

Andria, You like fruit vapes? If so I have tried FA and Inawera, Lorann, and some other flavorings and I found some fruit flavors that are fantastic compared to the others. No perfumy or harshness at all and no aftertaste. Flavor Concentrates. Took me a while to figure this our because I started with them and until I tried the rest I did not know I had started with the best.
Flavored with some liquid stevia from GNC and they are heaven. I make mine VERY sweet and coil gunking is not a problem at all. Just thought I would let you know what I have found. also shipping is free. Their selection is limited because they are all natural and Kosher (whatever that means) with no artificial ingredients. I use the Watermelon at 25%, I like it strong but even strong no aftertaste or anything.

I have not seen them mentioned on here at all and find that a bit strange.

disclaimer: Other than being a satisfied customer I have no linkage with Flavor Concentrates at all. Just googled for no artificial ingredient flavorings and found them.

Yes, I suspect those flavor wicks were originally meant to keep them from flooding - they sure don't have anything to do with flavor. I rebuild mine with rayon really stuffed into the coil and never have a problem. I suspect your cotton wicks will be just as good.

yep the Evod coils had them too and I rewound with 32 ga and wicked with KGD and zero flooding. And no flooding yet in the T3 with my cotton wick. I could do a bigger diameter coil in the T3 since it had more room. Might try an eliptical coil in there sometime. More surface area means more vapor I would think.

Even when I used silica at first in the Evods I used 3mm and no wicking. looked like the factory wicks were maybe 1 mm. Pathetic looking little things. Worked pathetically as well.

Where can they be purchased? I'm very happy with Inawera Shisha Strawberry, but I'm still chasing that "ideal" blueberry flavor.

Flavor Concentrates - Highly Concentrated Natural Flavoring - Flavor Drops

I think you will be pleased. I first got a 10 ml bottle of watermelon and blueberry, then I got a 30ml bottle (amber glass with dropper) of each now I will need more soon. the strawberry and banana get better with ageing but are still the best strawberry and banana I have tried when fresh. The blueberry and watermelon I just mix throw in a bowl of hat tapwater and let cool then vape the next day. Steeping has no big effect on them, a bit better but no real changes. I think it is just the stevia blending better with ageing.
they are clear flavors btw no color and do treat you coils very nice. even with the Stevia

And like I said they will make any mix better.

Start with 15% on the blueberry. I have gone as high as 30% with no issues. was just a bit too much flavor but no bite, bitter or aftertaste at 30%. I am doing the watermelon and blueberry at 20% now.

ordering coconut, lemon, orange and vanilla now.

I think the a touch of the vanilla might go well in their strawberry I have already. It is good but could use a touch of something.
Maybe a bit of Banana, I already have some of that.

Well, I definitely won't be using Stevia. I use TFA's sweetener, sucralose without the artificial taste that ECX's sucralose has.

I just checked... $5.99 for a 10ml bottle!?!?!? I DON'T THINK SO!!!! That's more expensive than Inawera!

or $10 for a 30 ml bottle. It is worth it. Trust me. Remember I am a cheap tightwad and I get it. Inawera is expensive compared to Watkins too, but is the difference worth it?
remember free shipping too.

The flavoring make my vaping worthwile, I cannot tolerate the aftertaste and such in the other flavorings. Maybe I just have a grommet palate?
The FC flavorings are the ONLY reason I am vaping now instead of smokiing.

I am begoinning to believe that I just blew 20 some dollars on the FA and Inawara flavors I bought. The perfumy aspect is pretty bad to me.

if the Kafuns are so much better on flavor than Evods then I would be in heaven with a Kafun and FC flavors. Because they are NICE in an Evod. But then I am too tight to buy a kafun so I will just do heavenly blueberry vaping in my Evods.

Thanks for the reminder Robert.

While I still have one factory wicked coil left, I should take a pic of one of them next to one recoiled with 3mm Silica. The difference IS Substantial.
