This is the first "tank" I owned when I moved from the first generic ego style battery to the innokin mvp2 - it came with it as a kit. It's the iclear 30 and a pretty good tank. They're still around.

I have been stuck on 1.2 ohm coils on Kayfuns for quite a while now. I ordered an MVP3 Pro and decided that I would get the kit with the iSub G as I have read good things about it and figured that I should at least give sub-ohming a try. Got the kit yesterday. First and last time that I will sub-ohm. I have no idea how people do that. It forces you to suck the air into your lungs. Gave it 30 minutes to see if I could get used to it but there is no way that I could enjoy doing that. I have gotten myself down to just under 4mg nic and even that seemed too much for me with that tank. Plan to stick with my kayfuns.

Wow. It has nothing to do with the ohms, and every thing to do with the airflow. I have run .4 ohm coils in kayfuns before and didnt lung hit them because they are too restrictive on the airflow for it to be enjoyable to me. I never lung hit even during the 40 years I smoked until I tried a subtank mini and thats because of the massive airflow it has. With your iSub, turn your airflow down until its comparable to your kayfuns and then try it.

IMO blowing massive clouds is the equivalent of ordering a double shot of whiskey then pouring half of it down the front of your shirt because you think it makes you look cool :)

ROFLMAO!!!! That's the best simile for it I've heard yet!!! :D

I tried dialing it way down but could not get it down enough for me to draw normally. Had the sucker pretty well closed. Tank is now in the drawer where it will stay. Also the noisiest tank that I have ever used. Not sure if they are all like that.

Yes, I'm a tootle puffer.

I went into a local vape shop yesterday with my standard setup and the clerk tried to give me grief for using my "old-fashioned" carto tank and my outdated Provari.

He said "You really love those old carto tanks dont you?"

I said "Of course I do, theyre more convenient than a dripper, give me almost as much flavor and use a fifth of the juice your high watt mod uses. Whats not to love?

Welcome to the thread zapped
I've seen the human fog machine competitions, I told them we already have machines for that but they just looked confused
I keep telling hubby the same thing lol

i agree with the airflow

i have just recently started my vaping journey a few weeks ago

and went with a subtank mini on a mvp pro not sure how it compares to the isub

just my experience i tend to lung inhale rather than mouth to lung even tho i am quitting analogs and have smoked them mouth to lung for 30+ YRS

i found with my sub ohm coils they would produce a hotter vape even with the air holes fully open the way i found to enjoy the fuller vape and flavor experience was to not seal my mouth fully around the drip tip and draw from the tip and also from the side of my mouth thus getting even more extra airflow

the vapor and flavor was nice and pretty intence big clouds and loads of flavor

i am still learning and finding there are so many things to factor in for the perfect vape and flavor

i love my normal and subohm coils i find that each have there own sweet spot according to so many things like wattage , pg/vg mix , also juice flavor and strength and not forgetting wicking just so many things tweek and adjust

MTL or STL just try adjusting and tuning everything some more

Snap - I've still got mine that came with the MVP2 and a load of iclear 16s that came with my VV3s - they may come in useful after May 2016 :(

I finally made my decision and the iStick 40 TC should be in my hands in about 3 weeks, provided Fasttech honours its commitment to ship by the end of the month. I also ordered a spool of T1 in 30AWG. So here are a few more questions for the tootle puffers who already use TC.

1. As a form of practice I used the Nickel 200 I already have and built a spaced coil which measured out at 2.6ohm and placed it in my KF lite plus to see weather it fits without shorts. It does fit but am I being foolish doing that? Can I use sub ohm coils in a KF if I am using TC?

2. How low, or high, are you building your coils to still be able to tootle puff on TC?

3, Is Titanium safer than Nickel or doesn't it make a difference?

Thanks.

I basically ruined mine when i tried to recoil it :D but I still have all the parts and may try it again if the need arises. But I think I am really all set for the apocalypse with my several RBAs and RDAs plus about 6 Mini Protanks and brand new coil heads for them, even though the heads they use are really very easy to rebuild. My last order from Fasttech, together with the TC iStick, was a selection of o-rings and replacement glass tanks... yes I think I'm all set should the tsunami really hit hard. Just in case it becomes illegal to vape tanks in public I still have a supply of GreenSmokes. :) Yep I'm all set - bring it on you stupid EU Commission!!

I'm sure you meant 0.26 ohms :p

The kayfun lite handles tc just fine.
I usually do my builds at .1 or lower with Ni wire, and around .2 on the Ti, but any ohm that works for the mod you use is fine

I'm way behind you but beginning to stock up - even my non-smoking/non-vaping husband is encouraging me to buy at the moment :D

Oh, as to which is safer, there I'd no real study on that, but at the temps we vape at I doubt either would cause any problems unless you are allergic to one or the other. Most unhealthy byproducts of vaping are caused by high heat.... Another reason tc is great :p
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

@Lannie, try Sweet-Vapes. They show the PT2 (which I    - it's my daily tank) as discontinued, but $10 a pop. Not sure how many they have in stock....

I got air flow control bases for mine (which I'm trying to find a few backups....)

@Fuzzy Thunderbear - OWWWWWWWW, hope you get to feeling better soon....

DISCONTINUED????? Just at Sweet Vapes, or everywhere? It would be just my luck, to finally find something I REALLY, REALLY LIKE, and have it discontinued. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

Now, on that clone tank, I'm gathering that there are no replacement coil/heads for it? I don't think I'm up to wrapping coils yet, so if that's the case, then it definitely will never be used. Bummer. I was hoping to have two of the larger tanks I could use on my new binkie, so I could have a couple different flavors.

Oh, and it's not one of the Vivi Novi (or whatever the name was). The bottom doesn't come off, at least as far as I can tell. It must, if you ever want to change the tank piece out, but maybe since it's plastic, it's meant NOT to come apart? I dunno, I'm still so new, I'm more confused than ever.

I do know ONE thing now, though! LOL! More air is always a good thing! Rich drilled out one of the airholes on my EVOD tank bases (one each) to a little bit larger size, and wow, it makes a HUGE difference in the draw, flavor, and vapor. So those might not be so neglected after all. ;) I LOVE my fancy purple binkie, but the sturdy little EVODs will be my barn vapes, and "rough duty" devices. The fancy one is for the house. I did take it out at choretime last night, but it was the first day, so I can be excused for exposing it possible danger. ;) I was very careful that I did NOT set it down on chicken-poop!

Isn't it amazing how a little bit of air just totally changes the vape experience in those tanks? I was just blown away when I drilled out my T3S tanks (they are pretty much the same as an EVOD). :D

LOL yeah I still have quite a few of both the iclear 30s and the 16s along with a stockpile coils and a handful of vivi novas with the coils too including all of the cool replacement solid metal and plastic tanks you could get for them. No reason to get rid of them, I might need them some day.

Lannie you could also try the GS Air M and MS tanks, I highly recommend them. I used to think it did not get any better then the protanks until I tried the air tanks and now the protanks have joined the stockpile. I like both the M and MS sizes, they honestly are superior in every way to the protanks IMHO and the only tanks I use now. I understand they just came out with cotton wick coils for the air tanks but I have not tried those yet.

@Lannie, Yes, Discontinued.... I know - I love my PT2s! If your other is a "clone", most of the time that should be o.k. I accidentally got a couple that were "clones", but the heads all work fine. You should still be able to find coils, at least for now. Maybe Fasttech, if nowhere else.

Rebuilding is super-dee-duper easy. I have a blog article showing how (click my avitar and hunt down my blogs) 30 guage kanthal, a 1/16" drill bit, and cotton balls. About 8-9 wraps gets me between 1.8-2.0 ohms virtually every time (do have an ohmmeter to be 100% sure - especially no shorts!)
