What is this...o_O

Tootle puffers talking about vaping...

Who are you and what have you done with the regulars?

That's the only reason they haven't bumped us to the Lounge I think, because we do every now and then actually discuss vaping... now and then. :D

It sure beats water heaters. :pervy:

Ah! That is very helpful! I will try the 1.2 ohm, yes it came with both, at 10 watts when I get home tonight. Thanks for that advice! I just might turn into a sub-ohmer after all!

as chopdoc said try 1.2ohm coil

i have 3 kanger stm now and all of them arrived with the 0.5 sub ohm coil installed

you will notice the difference for sure

hope you find your flavor sweet spot when ya do its just so goooooooooooooooood

Morning folks - just a question to set the ball rolling this fine day - what do you all think of the Kayfun mini for proper tootle puffing .... a 14mm RTA. I never even knew they existed but came across them this morning. Your thoughts?
I have the one that comes with the Ivogo Baby (17mm Nemi + custom 17mm KF mini). Works fine, but it's really really loooooong! The deck and build are the same as a regular KF, but shrunk down to about half the size, so definitely need the granny magnifier glasses for this one. If you're used to macro coils with thickish wires, you're gonna have to scale that down proportionally to fit the tiny space in there, which will contribute to how it vapes, compared to a full-sized KF. I wouldn't say better or worse, just slightly different. But still satisfying. I just got this setup and haven't used it much (it was a gift), but when I did, it wasn't bad.

I'm used to my bigger setups (with bigger, more powerful batteries for beefier builds) so it probably won't get much use, but when I will have to use it, I won't feel deprived in any way. I just ordered a Taifun GS plastic tank to try to shrink it down a little bit (will only fit the Ivogo KFM, not the KFM2.1).

Ooops, thought I was replying to the right post

Ever tried a kayfun lite on a Spinner II? It works! What I been using for my go places set up is the Evic VT with one of my subtanks on it. Fits the front right pants pocket perfectly and easy to pull out for a stealth vape in Walmarts cereal aisle

I'm a little OCD about matching atty to mod :D I don't like something top heavy. Prefer something streamlined. I have nothing in size in between my first ego and the itaste vv - so something in 14mm would be perfect.

I used to put kayfuns on my vv3s... It makes a "scepter" so I felt quite queenly... "Off with his head!" However if you like to stand your mods up, I don't recommend using a kayfun on them, because they fall over if you look at them hard. That's really the best thing about boxes, it's much harder to knock them over. :D

Thanks so much for your input. So are these Flash e-Vapor VSs sort of genesis kind of atties?

Yes, the KF mini in its full configuration is really very long but I believe you don't need to use all three parts.
No the Flash e-Vapor are more of an auto dripper that doesn't leak.
They have an RDA deck, air chamber section and top tank. The mesh wicks bridge the top tank and your cotton or Rayon wick. Here are some FT pictures of the full size one, I don't have any of my own handy.

Your coil can be offset or sit in the center, the wick comes out of the coil and rests on the screws.
image.jpg

You can see the air hole screw on the left and the two mesh wicks poking out of the chamber cap.

The tank unscrews from the chamber for filling then you just invert the base unit, screw it back on and go.
You can see here how the mesh wick protrude into the tanks section.

The VS version is identical just on a much smaller scale.

Yes you can use two instead the three sections on the Kayfun mini, you also have the option to remove the chimney and use just the top section in a pseudo dripper mode. It works, I have put a silica build in it in dripper mode to test out juices before.

The only problem with the Kayfun mini is the tiny clearance between the PMMA tank and the chimney which can lead to wicking problems if you use a really thick juice. I always ran a 50/50 in the Kayfun mini.

You can run whatever juice you want in the Flashi since you control the size of the mesh straw for wicking. I roll an 8mm x 35 mm piece of mesh on a 1.2 mm core. Roll it so it fits snugly in the hole but not too tight.

Hard choices so might as well get both... :D

I reckon if I can rebuild the evod heads I could probably do this. I mean the deck on a Goblin is really small and it takes dual coils! I think with a bit of cussing I can do it. LOL

Thanks. That sounds cool and intriguing. I do have bits of mesh that have come with some of my atties. I'll have to research these further. And yes, the KF mini - of which I was totally unaware till this morning, seems to have a lot of possibilities. Pity I'm still on the self imposed moratorium, save for the iStick TC, or I would have gone into FT to order both minis we've been talking about. I don't think I can do it till after I come back from vacation. Even if I wanted to, if I order anything from FT now it would probably get here when I am away.... so maybe in autumn.

This isn't specific to tootle puffing, or even to vaping; I suspect it's true for anyone who quits smoking -- you know those touch-screen things at cashiers? Used to, if there wasn't a wand for it, I could NOT make them work -- my fingers were just too cold. Now I don't have a single problem with any touch screen, they all work perfectly! I started noticing this a few months ago, but now it's inescapable -- my fingers work better, now that I don't smoke! YAY!

I've been dying to try the flashi but just can't seem to get past how it LOOKS!:?:
Now that might get you arrested in public - by the fashion police!
hahaha just kidding around here. :)
They just came out with an RDA deck for the Squape Rs. I think I'm gonna try one of those out first, just to see what that's like.

The other problem with not using all the parts of the KFM is the super long chimney. If you make it shorter, it'll poke out into the drip tip well. You can get drip tips with holes big enough to clear the chimney, but if you shrink it down too much, it'll protrude past your drip tip. Unless you cut it down, then you won't be able to run the KFM long anymore.

If you wear the granny glasses, it'll be normal-sized! :thumb:
