I have the same issues with the perfumy taste. Can you list some of the ones you like? A PM to me would be fine if you do not want to do it in the public forum. I just blew 20 something dollars on flavors from INawera and FA that all have the perfumy taste to me. Flavor Concentrates is the only flavoring I have found so far that does not have the perfumy flavor, or aftertaste that makes them pretty horrible to me.
If not for the flavor concentrates flavorings I would still be smoking cigs and not vaping. Most juices are THAT bad to me.

I mix mostly with FA flavor concentrates now. I've only noticed an overall floral note or perfume if I bump the % too high. Most FA flavors top out at 5% or so. I rarely mix above 3% with any individual flavor in a multi-flavor recipe. I rarely go above 6-8% overall flavoring in any recipe. Most of the time, I'm hanging in the 4-6% range. Try reducing the ones you think are perfumey. FA concentrates are strong.

Last Friday I won 20 x 30ml bottles of Flavor Crafters new Evolve line, which should be here this coming week. Hopefully there will be more that 3 bottles out of that line that will be enjoyable. I am not a big fan of the fruit flavored vapes.
Anything you don't like, sent my way, I love fruit vapes :p

I tried just 1 drop per ml of FA watermelon and still got the perfumy. In the FA thread that big list is all wrong then? It lists much higher percentages than that. The only FA so far that might work for me is Banana ripe. Still have 3 more to go.

You know, some folks find the taste of the fill stuff in cartos unpleasant... if anyone you know feels that way, the Joyetech eRolls are great, just a little tank/mouthpiece, none of that fill stuff. Those are what I used at first, and actually got me to quit.

The Erolls seem to be going away.

2 reasons the GSair wouldn't work for me. One I vape as close to 100 % pg as I can find. 2 I have the Nautilus air vent on the smallest setting and if it was any larger it would be too much air. Actually 3, I love these vertical coils. There are many that like a lot of air though that they would be great for. They do look like good tanks.

5cardstud, I don't think you'd have any problem making the GS Airs work for you. Just because they have "Air" in their name doesn't mean they are really airy like a subtank. You can dial it down as much as you want, as many people do, and they vape great. I don't think 100% PG is going to affect your vape at all in these tanks. We have people on the GS Air Fan thread vaping various percentages without a problem. I've put away my Nautilus tanks because the vape I get from these is so much superior.

I think you are still confusing Flavor Arts with The Flavor Apprentice. Flavor Arts is FA, and The Flavor Apprentice is TFA. There is a big difference between the two of them. FA is very concentrated, and you use small percentages. TFA uses higher percentages. FA does not have banana ripe.

The % on that list are wrong. Trust me. After finding the people who know FA best, I eventually gave most of my non-FA flavorings away (over 70!). They're that good. The FA experts are no longer active on this forum. They're on another forum now, where they are very active. Wllmc & HeadInClouds (HiC) are bonafide geniuses when it comes to mixing in general and specifically FA. HiC has posted very detailed notes/profiles of almost all the flavorings in FA's vaping line. They're worth the read. Some of the recipes posted are better than any commercial e-liquids that I have ever vaped and I've vaped many of the expensive ones. Good luck!

If you google the below, you should find the way. The misspelling in the first line is intentional.

If juice cracks a tank don't you worry about what it's doing to your lungs and bronchial tubes? Just wondering.

I don't. Lung tissue and plastic are quite different substances, and I'm pretty sure plastic is far more fragile than self-healing human tissue. You can put tetrahydrozyline (the "gets the red out" ingredient) in your eyes, but it's poison if you drink it -- everything has its time and place and correct usage.

This may be the entire problem. I was unable to find the "FA thread" to which Robert referred. TFA (The Flavor Apprentice) flavorings, IME, require twice the percentages (or more) as FA (FlavourArt) flavorings. Banana ripe is one of the TFA flavorings that I do still use. FA's banana is awesome but tastes a little "greener". I generally mix the two 50/50 for use in recipes. FA's banana prevents TFA's ripe banana from tasting candyish.

Another question... Rebuildables for tootle puffers? The Kayfun is the original, the Squape Reloaded is the second (love the AF dial) and I'm wondering about the Taifun GTII (I keep writing typhoon, had to go look it up). I won't touch tanks like the Lemo, although it's readily available here, but the size of that chimney speaks "LOTS of air"

The Taifun GT v1 & v2 are both great tootling tanks! @billherbst was just extolling the virtues of the GT v2 on the iStick thread. I've copied his post below. His combining of separate parts provides a somewhat smaller & lighter GT v2 for under $10, shipped! The original Taifun GT II is on the large side.

My personal recommendation would be a Taifun GT-T V2 RTA frankenclone from FastTech. You'd need to order two parts---the base/chimney and the clear acrylic tank:

Taifun GT-T V2 base/chimney
acrylic tank for Taifun GT-T V2

Total cost is $9.45 shipped. You'll also need a drip tip.

The Taifun GT-T V2 is a single-coil, bottom-fed RTA that's easy to build, very forgiving, and provides wonderful flavor and vapor production. Doesn't use vacuum-feed like Kayfuns and many others, so no "juice channels" to worry about when wicking. Has both adjustable air intake AND adjustable juice flow to the coil, but neither adjustment is fiddly. Just build a simple 5/64" (2mm) or 3/32" (3mm) coil---spaced or micro---anywhere from 0.5 ohm to 1.5 ohm, wick with cotton or rayon, and vape. Perfect for MTL (mouth-to-lung) vapers, holds 4ml or juice, isn't a juice hog, never gives a dry hit, doesn't leak, and refilling is a snap (just turn it over, unscrew the tank from the base, and fill the tank---no syringes required). Just watch a single Taifun V2 build video on YouTube, and you'll be good to go.
