Well, my Protank head is at the bottom, as are all the other ones I have. I thought CE4 was the skinny plastic tank. It's just the top-coil "style?"
CE4 coil style builds the exact same as a bottom coil. Only difference is instead of the coil being at the bottom of the tank and gravity helps feed it, instead its at the top of the tank and the wick feeds it by pulling the juice up to the coil. Same way an RDA works, wicks dip into the juice and feed up to the coil.
I have three tanks exactly like that and the picture I posted was of one of them. They work surprisingly well and are inexpensive. If you can rebuild a bottom coil like the protanks coil, you can rebuild one of those.

Lannie, I love the PT2. That was my main unit for like two years. But the bases (the original, and an AFC) became mostly unusable, and my Ego twists died. So I used my coupon code on two Spinner 1300s, and added a new AFC base. One Spinner will be for the PT2, the other for EVODs. Yes, I still use those for certain strong juices since it weakens them, like clove. But you're right, those definitely need to be run with at least 4.0 volts; 4.2 on the old Twists. I recoiled one EVOD to work with a standard 3.7v Evo, but barely (Andrea might like it though!)

Here are pictures of my new Bling Binkie! :D I blurred this one, sorry. Anyway, here it is sitting in my modified binkie holder:

Close up, sorta:

Without the flash, so you can see I used a PURPLE tiny rubber band to hook the dangly bit off the old earring to.

*I* think it looks really nice. :) For a quickie 5-minute decorating job, anyway.

But they don't sell ready-made replacement coils for those, right? I used to love top-coil clearos. My favorite one was the Vision VT. Those had replaceable heads.

No, they dont sell them. You actually have to get some 32 or 34 kanthal wire and some silica wick and wrap your own coil.

Well, here's some fun news: Lannie and I went out to do evening chores (feed and water critters) and get Ellie, Cricket's calf, into her stall for the night. Ellie was trying to get a last suck on mama before Lannie locked her up and decided to dance around to the other side. I was just going around Cricket and didn't see Ellie buck and bounce until she landed on my left foot - HARD! I now have three (maybe four) broken toes. I think I'll be going to bed early tonight...

YES!!! :( Had broken toes before (both from cows and motorcycle racing and mountain climbing). At this point, going to bed is probably the best thing for it, so I'm gonna have a few more sucks and turn in. Talk to y'all tomorrow.

I was thinking CE4 innards in a fancier tank. It's a Protank wannabe!
Or a Vivi Nova type thing. Totally forgot all about those.

Or it could be something like the Innokin C16 - that also had the dangly bits... always showing off because it had a dual coil with 4 dangly bits

    Yes, I'm a tootle puffer.

I went into a local vape shop yesterday with my standard setup and the clerk tried to give me grief for using my "old-fashioned" carto tank and my outdated Provari.

He said "You really love those old carto tanks dont you?"

I said "Of course I do, theyre more convenient than a dripper, give me almost as much flavor and use a fifth of the juice your high watt mod uses. Whats not to love?

IMO blowing massive clouds is the equivalent of ordering a double shot of whiskey then pouring half of it down the front of your shirt because you think it makes you look cool :)

    Maybe they like recharging batteries..

I've seen the human fog machine competitions, I told them we already have machines for that but they just looked confused

Top coil "tanks" have been around for a long time.

@Lannie, try Sweet-Vapes. They show the PT2 (which I    - it's my daily tank) as discontinued, but $10 a pop. Not sure how many they have in stock....

I got air flow control bases for mine (which I'm trying to find a few backups....)

@Fuzzy Thunderbear - OWWWWWWWW, hope you get to feeling better soon....

I have been stuck on 1.2 ohm coils on Kayfuns for quite a while now. I ordered an MVP3 Pro and decided that I would get the kit with the iSub G as I have read good things about it and figured that I should at least give sub-ohming a try. Got the kit yesterday. First and last time that I will sub-ohm. I have no idea how people do that. It forces you to suck the air into your lungs. Gave it 30 minutes to see if I could get used to it but there is no way that I could enjoy doing that. I have gotten myself down to just under 4mg nic and even that seemed too much for me with that tank. Plan to stick with my kayfuns.
