I think many are in the same position. They're in a comfortable place already, as far as having enough devices, supplies, nic, etc. "stashed"...to be able to continue vaping long-term with no problem. But, what's the harm in trying newer things, too, if you're interested in them and you've got the funds to do it? If you end up not really liking something, you can always resell it or PIF to someone else.

I look at it this way - I have favorite foods & drinks, clothing items and brands, perfumes, supplies for current hobbies, etc., and enough of them. But that doesn't mean it's not fun to try new and different ones, as long as I can afford to do it. Buying new/different vaping stuff follows that same reasoning, as far as I'm concerned! :)
I agree,i am glad i've gotten a comfortable stock pile, and can resume trying new stuff out.It got really boring buying the exact same stuff over and over again,i decided the Griffin was my rta of choice,so every week,i was buying another one to add to the stash, after 12 of them,i got to the point i did not even want to look at another Griffin haha.
Of course now that i have went almost exclusively to bottom feed mods,i'm still stocking up on those items, which same deal,i have plenty, but that's where the fun/hobby part comes into play.If things do ever get really bad, that's the part i'll miss the most is getting new cool stuff to try out.

Well,as i've said before,i will never be "done".I have enough stuff that i could probably make it the rest of my life, but why stop, that is boring haha,so i have several orders i'm waiting on. Even after all these show up,i still won't be done, there are still lots of things out there that i want, don't need them, but i'll get them anyway haha.

Well...when you switch your "nicotine enjoyment" from smoking to vaping...you end up with A LOT of extra $'s in your pocket...

(My little "sticker" informs me that I've pocketed, at least, $8,000+ in 3+ years.)

That could buy me a good number of new/different Mods, Tanks, etc...

[The only downside:

Smoking...pack of analogs => ashes in my ashtray => trash...

Vaping...new/better/different Mod => "old" Mod it replaces => back-up shelf...:shock:]

(From my dollar's point of view...all my old Mods, Tanks, etc...are just ashes that I'm too OCD to not just throw out the window...)

..

Haha,i can definitely relate to that. For my first 2 years of vaping,i would not get rid of anything,i mean nothing, even if it was something i got and didn't like at all,i still put it on the shelf.Only in the last 6-7 months have i started to get rid of a few things, not many but a few haha.I have sold 3 mods, and traded 1 Protank 2.The upside to that though, was that every mod i sold was done so to buy other mods,so there was no loss there, actually the most recent mod i sold, ending up getting me 2 new ones,so that was a win for sure. But for the most part,i still have 99% of what i've bought in the past,i still have a couple Ego batteries with Pro tank 2's from way back when i started, just because they have sentimental value haha.

I'm not a collector of vape stuff but I might get a bit more adventuresome if the FDA doesn't ban our products after all. I don't want to start preferring something I haven't stockpiled. Ignorance is bliss. I tried a few different rda clones but when the right one turned up I bought enough for my 10-20 year time frame. I haven't seen another rda that's tempting. It went almost the same way with mods. The pico is the only mod I want to carry so that's the one I'm stockpiling. But I'm also getting some vtc minis in case there is some long term design flaw in the picos. I haven't seen another mod that looks any better for me than a pico with AF firmware. For nic I have a 10 year supply from each of 2 different suppliers. Call that redundancy. I got extras of my preferred drip tip and extra orings to keep them tight on the rda. When I get a mod for the stockpile I include a silicone sleeve because I always use one. There is a particular silicone slip ring that's perfect for conntroling leaking on my rda so I got extras as well as extra orings for the deck. I use a foot of wire a month so my 250' roll of 30 AWG stainless would last 20 years if it needed to. I'm not worried about cotton, wire, batteries, PG, VG, or batteries.

In about a year I'll be opening my first bottle of nic from long term storage. By then I want to have rigged up a bottle roller to be certain the contents are completely mixed. Commercial rollers are stupid expensive. There has to be a way to do it on the cheap.

sofar...if I was as organized...and as disciplined...as you are...I'd probably be doing the same things as you...

My only concern would be these new guys (but, still, scoundrels) in D.C. making such a big deal out of "draining the swamp"...

If they do get control of the FDA...then in 2037 (depending on how many cars I'd stockpiled)...I'd be driving a new 2017 (but 20 years old) car...while all my friends would be riding around in self-driving automobiles...

I normally just google stuff or just save links to things. But, if I'm going to be paranoid, I might as well go all the way! I'm going to download the videos in case they disappear in the future.

So, my current stocking up is of videos instead of gear.

Since building coils for different RBAs is the most likely thing I would need videos for, I'm starting my project with those videos. I already finished my RTAs (unless I find/buy more). Next up is my RDAs.

That's what I did too. All the RTAs I have I downloaded videos on how to build just in case I forget or something.

Guess you need to start saving your pennies for one of these then.

Plus, if I lose the ability to do it myself, videos would help someone else learn to do it for me (like maybe one of my grandchildren).

Is that compatible with Linux?

My better half & I are pretty well stocked:

6.5 liters 100mg/ml nic in the freezer
20 regulated mods, 5 in rotation
4 mechs, 1 in rotation
10 each of our favorite tanks, RTA's & RDA's, 10 in rotation
300 drop in SS coils
Extra glass, o-rings & screws
500ft of 2 SS316L wire gauges
Big bag of KGD cotton
Plenty of VG/PG & flavors

We just had a couple of mods die after a little over a year of pretty heavy use, so we ordered a couple to replace them. Something new, our 1st single 18650 DNA's. We purchased 2 JAC Vapour Series-B DNA 75W for $133.41 shipped. 1st mod purchase this year and a pretty good deal I think. Really looking forward to getting them... :D

Hey my fellow stocking friends! :) I need some mod advice...

I am hoping to pull the trigger on a SMALL dual 18650 120-22w mod. I have about $20 in credits at FT and their 10% code goes active tomorrow so I will order from them.

I am considering the following but open to suggestions in the <$60 range....

- Tesla Nano 120w (bigger than I would like but looks cool and I love the on/off switch)
- Smok T-Priv 220w (seems very similar to my Alien which I love)
- IJOY Captain PD270 234W
- eVic Primo 2.0 228W

Any thoughts on the above or other options? I have a G-Priv which is too big, so the smaller the better. I rarely vape over 120w (generally 45-55w), so need for 350w!

Thanks!

The only one I have is the Tesla. It doesn't seem as big as it is somehow. And, it's beautiful. I love it!

So...DancHere...you're postulating that with the Dooming Regs the FDA will remove ALL the vaping videos from YouTube???

No. Paypal, credit card processers, YouTube, . . . . People refuse things they don't approve of, for no valid reason.

So, why not be safe? It makes me feel good. So, why not?

I've noticed Youtube taking down videos that they don't approve of. A lot of streamers have had their videos demonitized (not sure on spelling here-ad revenue is taken away from them). It's probably a good idea to download some things you want yo be sure to have access to in the future.
