She's vaped about 1.5ml/day of 12mg East Coast tobacco in a nautilus mini on a ProVari for about 3 years. She kidnaps one of my mods sometimes but she likes what she likes.
Nothing wrong with that. And at only 1.5ml a day, I'm surprised 12mg is enough.

We used to spend $300/month/each on coffin-nails. It's abso....inglutely in....ingcredible how much cheaper vaping is with DIY. I stock her BVC coils for a year for about the cost of 5 days of us smoking. #FTFDA #colddeadhands
I used to spend more than that by myself.

And yes, DIY is so cheap, it might as well be free.

I love the math of vaping compared to smoking. I'm sure I've posted this before but...I smoked a carton a week. That added up to $3,000 a year here in Michigan. My cost of ingredients for a year supply of liquid is $25. My best understanding is the smoke from one cigarette exposes a smoker to 1 mg of nic. If a cigarette costs 30 cents that's 30 cents per mg. A $50 bottle of 100mg nic has 100,000 mg of nic. 30 cents X 100,000 mg = $30,000. I vape more nic than I used to smoke. 100,000 mg of nic will last me 4 years. So for me it works out to 4 years x $3,000= $12,000, 5,000 packs of cigarettes.

But we spent the money on smokes.

I just passed $10000, If I was still smoking the cost would be more than $100 per week now. That buys a whole bunch of vape gear.

I'm cutting my nicotine from 3mg/ml to 1.5mg/ml
The Mrs. uses 12mg and plans to continue.
That means my 29 year supply should last us 50.75 years
I'm only in my 50's so I'll get another couple of liters before the hammer drops.

Last December I was at 18 mg, then in February I switched to 12 mg. Im now at 6 mg due to using more advanced devices than aio and spinners. I think that's my sweet spot! Nice to know my nic will last me so much longer!

I was at 6mg until January this year. That's when I started my little experiment to see if slowly raising my nic a tiny bit every 2-3 months would get my metabolism and energy level back to what "my normal" was before quitting smoking. If I could get that to happen I knew at least some of the weight I gained when I quit would also come off. I've only gotten up to 7mg, and have dropped 10 pounds so far! I haven't changed anything else (what I'm eating nor how much, exercise I get, mLs I vape each day, etc.)...just the nic mg. Energy level seems to be where it was for years, or very close, so I'm pleased with the results so far. :)

ETA: Just checked and it's 10 pounds now, so I changed it above!

Interesting, I wonder if that's why I've been so tired lately!

It might be! I don't think I even noticed any dropping energy level, nor even more than about a 2lb weight gain, until about 6 months after having my last smoke. Over the next 2+ years my energy/metabolism continued to drop and the weight continued to slowly go up.

My endochrinologist (who's also my PCP) and I discussed it many times. We even tried an additional Rx to see if it would get things back to normal, but it didn't. So I talked with him about increasing my nic to see if I was getting too little, compared to what I was getting while smoking...when I had lots of energy and had been at my same weight since I was in high school. The nic difference must've been it, for me at least.

I think you have something there. If I drop my nic too low, I start seeing a *slight* increase in weight.

I'm comfortable at 6mg

I think what I'm finding out, and what you've noticed, might also be beneficial to people who are somewhat afraid to quit smoking...for fear they'll gain a bunch of weight. IF they vape, and find the nic level needed to keep their metabolism where it was when they were smoking...it seems they should be able to avoid most of the weight gain.

Me and my husband just figured out the nic/weight gain correlation a few weeks ago. I am very proud to be down to 1.5 mg. But not happy with the 40 lb weight gain over the last 4 years.

Modshields By Jojo are made thick and fit & feel exactly the way they should.
I just ordered 3 more a couple of hours ago and got tracking info already.
I have them on my DNA200 Rolos and they're perfect.
AKA Directconnection - I used their skins on all my IPV mods.
No affiliation yada yada, just sharing because they rock.

My husband also smokes and vapes occasionally. I'm hopeful that he'll eventually vape 100% of the time. After all, I have plenty of gear to share!

Since I have a family history of Alzheimer's...and since nicotine is the only substance found (so far) to actually prevent/delay the onset of Alzheimer's/senile dementia...I, personally, never think about lowering my nicotine level...

You couldn't have pulled more similar words from my brain.

Exactly, in other words. 15mg, and I'm staying right here (thank ya very much). I understand it's a chance at best, but none less than the lottery tickets I buy each week.
