Cool. My Solo arrived today. Think I might be getting some more of them.

I have a question. Along with the mod there was a box containing a charging cable, a spare charge port cover, and a thing that looks a bit like a screwdriver but with a flat end. Do you know what the mystery thing is?
If it’s like the 100w, isn’t that used to access the usb update port?... unless I’m mixing it up with another mod o_O.

Beats me. I popped the port cover out with a fingernail. Don't see how the tool would help. Maybe someone will come up with an answer.

I decided to try a protected tube mod. The price is right and replacement boards are available for $5 each. It seemed like a backup for the backups. I assumed the tube should be pretty much imortal but learned a lesson about that. It turns out the threading on the bottom tube wasn't machined well enough. The bottom plug is cross threaded and can't be moved or removed. Without that part working properly the mod is unusuable. I've written to Fastech about the problem, waiting to hear back.

$14.90 SXK Atto Styled 18350/18650 Mechanical Mod - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

In the mean time it's interestsing how my stockpile thinking as evolved in the last 4 years. I established a barebones stash when I thought the chance of interference with product was not certain and a long way off. I'm back to small amounts of hardware buying because of endless FDA sabre rattling and now there is the trade war. I'm not too concerned about paying 25% more if an item if it is going in the stash but will the interference go farther than that? Today I can order from FT and a few weeks later it lands on my front porch, no fuss, no bother. If there is a tax due how does it get paid and how much does it interfere with delivery?

Seems I have that one on my wishlist.... A lot of stuff on my wishlist doesn't make it to my cart...and technically I don't need anything. That said,, yesterday as expected I got my Gloom from 3fvape. This thing hits hard,,,very nice. Having to train my thumb to fire it,, but so far very happy with it.

Gotta say. I really like the Aegis Solo. After 2 days I'm thinking of getting another. I thought the Mini was the most comfortable mod to hold that I ever had, the Aegis is even better. Like it was designed for my hand. The shape is perfect and the rubber covering is nice and grippy. It rests on my little finger which is how I like to hold mods. It's quite wide so it is stable.

Probably wouldn't be great for folks who fire mods with their index finger rather than their thumb. Not very comfortable to hold the other way round.

The Mini is fine except for the short battery life. I use it mainly with my new RH dripper which tends to leak a little and it's drip proof. That's my fault by the way, I'm just figuring out how to use drippers.

Haven't bought any vape stuff in a while. I have 6 of my main atomizers (KF Prime clones) with 2 in use and 4 as backup. I bought them all for cheap during sales. I have several other atomizers that I don't use. I have 6 high quality mods (NX-75A CNC series machined from a solid block of aluminum) that I got for 1/8 retail price during the holiday sales. And I have on DNA mod (Mirage) that I got on sale 2/3 price but its still expensive IMO. I've probably got enough cotton and wire to last me 20 years... though my goal is to quit vaping (quit using entirely).

I'll probably buy a couple more DNA mods... maybe the Macro Classical. Might pick up a few nice pod devices if something interesting pops up.

I got three different pod systems. The most useful is the minifit because it's tiny. But turns out I rarely use them. They aren't part of the stash, no stockpilinng. To keep disipline everything I count as stockpiled stays new in the box. If something is part of the stash there is always more than one.

I have the Chutala (?sp) in my cart along with 2 of their mosfet boards. The mod is around $33 this one is a bit cheaper but I’ve never heard of it and I’m more apt to go with the one I’ve heard more about. I’ll havr to read up more on this one cuz the price is right :)

I can’t even begin to think of having to dust all of those.

My roommate asked me last night why I don’t display my mods especially the stabwoods and all I could think of was pollen, dust and cat hair.

Nope. I’ll keep mine in their original boxes. Well until I can afford to hire a housecleaner again lol!!

It is very comfortable. I’ve only had mine for 2 days but I’m really happy with it. And it’s incredibly light for such a solid looking device.

That Aegis Solo, I'm assuming the answer is yes but... does it fit a 28mm tank without issue? Got a TFV12 Prince I'd like to put on it.

I don't have a big tank but I just measured the Solo. The top, including the black rubber, seems to be exactly 28mm.
