I'm finding it really hard to not stock up with the way things are looking. The sky has been falling since I started vaping 6 years ago though so in the back of my mind I know I can get an apartment/new car in the fall and start stocking again this winter.

It is a bit like crying wolf. I am afraid we will think there is time and we might get a nasty surprise. I chose to make sure I would never need another thing. I will never forget a few years ago when everyone thought batteries (including button tops) would be around forever. Now you almost can't get a button top or some of the smaller batts that went in early mods. Not due to the FDA but still. I definitely think nicotine will be one of the next things they go after.

    Already gone here... :(

and it was weaker then. We weren’t allowed 100 without certain precautions.

There are plenty of things that are hard to find now simply because there's so little demand for them.

I'm pretty stocked except my flavor stash could use some work, or so the flavoring thread tells me. If I have less than 500 flavors, I'm not doing it right.

LOL will buy more nic in the fall, kind of gradually building up my coil stash as I go.

My problem is I have NO CLUE how many drop in coils are enough. I vape three drop in systems and refuse to buy more because…. COILS argh. Also, my three are the best :)

True but my point is when folks think the stuff will be around forever because it is used in something else and then it is gone. Even the old stuff, if I like it, I stocked up because I realized it won't be here always.

safe distance from a black hole
Im not worried about flavours but I do find myself calculating nic usage with an annoying obsessiveness.
Ive got mods and rta's/rdas to last a couple of generations and Im nearly finished a vapestation that makes me worry less about mods and batteries. Im not worried at all about VG or distilled water, but nic, thats the fly in the ointment. I have enough to last 33years at my current rate of use, but no one has recorded usable nic past 6yrs stored in the freezer.

I stumbled into a new form of stocking up - pod survival.

My wife has a smoking friend that wasn't interested in vaping but loves a deal. We got a free Vuse and passed it on to her and she used it because it was free. She liked it, bought the cartridges a couple times and asked if there was a small device that was cheaper to use. My wife had her try her Minifit with my menthol/mint DIY and she liked it, so we tapped the stockpile and gave her two Minifit kits, a three pack of pods and a bottle of my DIY.

Even though the Minifit is popular with different pod and battery options, part of our instructions was where to stock up on pods and maybe a couple kits. With the way the market moves anything you enjoy likely won't be around for long. She's now a pod-stocker!

I believe Kurt was up at seven years. I'm at five.

Based on the accelerated aging I've seen at room temperature, I do not think nicotine acts like milk, where it's good for a period of time and then suddenly goes bad. In fact, its degradation appears fairly linear to me, and based on the fact that I've seen essentially none in 5 year old nic that's been properly stored, I believe we can count on it to stay usable for decades.

    can they hit batteries?
I do not think the FDA can. However, someone like the CPSC could potentially decide that loose lithium-ion cells are too dangerous to sell to the public. I think we'd get some warning though.

I've just started a storage test try find out whether storage at lower temperatures is helpful. Some people claim it is and others claim it's not. It will be roughly a year before any I have any real data, and it will probably take several years before I have definitive answers.

Anyway, I think stocking up on batteries would be premature. Worst case, they can be harvested from power-tool packs.

    got my nic today.
    i'm officially all stocked up.
got 7 identical mods n tanks n enow coils for 600 weeks.
they can't ban flavors for food.
    can they hit batteries?

Bold of you to order nic in the summer. Was it nice and clear? Did it smell okay? From which vendor? I learned the hard way to NOT buy nic in the summer. At least here in CA you’re basically asking for oxidized nic if you order now

    Somewhere between here and there
It looks like I got my freezer just in time. I’ve got four liters in the freezer and a partial I’m currently using out of. I might get one or two more once the weather cools down. As far as mods and tanks, I’m set for life.

I just need a bit more nic then and I WANT more drop in coils but they're not essential but I would be saddened not to have them.

I'm actually pretty ready, more than I figured I would be, and SUPREMELY happy with my vape equipment actually.

If the buck stops here, I might not even GO for the black market. I know how UNLIKE me.

Well, I MIGHT do it for fun but seriously I did not enjoy my bright yellow INSPECTED BY BORDER and CUSTOMS patrol sticker today. I mean, they let me HAVE it but they for sure let me KNOW they knew I HAVE it. Etc.

    Jerks.
