Oh the early days of vaping. How far we have come......................................

Definitely leaps and bounds. I remember when myself and a few friends were trying to figure out how to make home made tanks with pyrex since the plastic ones were so bad. The industry caught on quick, but I still have one or two the tanks I made in a box somewhere. And I still have my guidelines for making a box mod from Radio Shack parts... He He I am ready if it comes to it.

Yeah Semiretired, the early days of vaping had you looking at things in a different light. I remember being in the isles of Home Depot and Lowes thinking, hmmm would this work hahaha

Everyone that quit smoking on the very early products, I salute you! I couldn't quit until the 808's and cartos hit the market, and they took some perseverance :) LOL

I started with 808's and quickly went to a Joyetech 650 with a dripping atty. Still one of the best vapes I ever had... :)

The F5 wars. I remember them well. There was one vendor that sold a particular brand of vape gear I really liked. He would announce days in advance what date and time they would be available for purchase. I found out (just from my impatience) that he often unlocked the site a couple of minutes early. I would leap in, scurry around, get what I wanted and get out before the site would get bogged down. I never, ever, ever mentioned that tidbit on the forum.
Ha ha, I did the same thing on one site. Got it before the sale officially started.

I remember trying to get a ZAP, sale was always during the day while I was at work and couldn't participate.

One thing that helped me early on was I was extremely lucky and won a few contests so I got to try out different things. Couldn't afford to buy a lot because even little cigalikes were over 100.00 for most of the kits.

Forgot to add the IHY wars were crazy, like road rage. A bunch of us banded together to get them and ship them to others if one of us got lucky. We ran the risk of ending up with too many but hey, you could always sell them back in the day.

If there are any other fans of the Vision Vivi Nova, the "mystart" house brand novas at ecigcharleston are the real Vision brand. They sell a few different shapes and sizes for $.99 each, with one 2.4 ohm head. They often have 15% off on the weekends to boot.

    That's great to know, 44088.

While I've moved on from Vision Vivi Novas, it'd be handy to have some around for guests who want to try vaping. Screw them into Vamo V.2s I still have sitting around.

A blast from the past for me, but maybe eye-openers for newbies.

Aha - another one... Okay, confession time - how many more of you are out there??? :):D:lol:
And I still do it to this day. Some of the sites make their sales accessible before the official date/time. Did that with the July 4th sale, as a matter of fact. I am shameless, I tell you.

I also won a contest once and the person couldn't figure out how I got the info they requested. She didn't know she put the name in her pic and if you scrolled over it, the name showed up, lol.

Soooooo....... I am an easy 25 pages behind:confused:... I blame that elusive, ever changing thing called life...

I am still at the "I only have a liter of nic" stage.... but that is probably close to 10 years worth.

I am counting on my friends here:thumbs::nun: to tell me that I can continue to buy other parts(like KFL's, or parts, mostly, but you never know) from overseas vendors.

I will buy at least another liter of nic. I might be short after that....

    :w00t::(:confused::eek::rolleyes:o_O......:blush::blink::blush::blink::blush::blink:

eGoinMD, you may want to stash a bunch of liters of 100 mg./ml. rocket juice nic base in your freezer.

Even if it's still available later on, I doubt it'll ever be as inexpensive as it is now. Sure, it might be surplus to your needs, but you can always use it for swapping or whatever.

(BTW, it works great for killing Japanese beetles in your garden. Dilute it somewhat with water, put it in a spray bottle and watch those buggers die! Don't spray food plants with it. Just flowers.)

how much do you dilute 100mg/ml for this?

I have a small box with 15 or so protanks, davides, and evods. I cleaned up a Davide and stuck a single coil kanger head in it just to see how it was.

Honestly, I would have to relearn how to enjoy that vape. Pretty weak sauce. I used to love them and they are what made vaping and not smoking quite easy. I've been using kayfuns and rda's for so long that going back is a major step.

No biggie though. I have enough kayfuns and parts to open up a small kayfun shop. If I run out it means I lived to 150. Lol

These are the only toppers my sister will actually use. I just wish I could find them for her at a great closeout price. They are getting harder to find except for this one place. Sure wish she would try to move on to something different but then maybe it is just an excuse not to fully commit :( although I do have to admit that I still love the flavor they provide so use one myself occasionally. :D It is just another case of "there is something for everyone". Finding that something is half the battle.
