I bought the innokin coolfire d22 kit last November-ish. I used it almost exclusively for 3 months before it died. A charge would last 15 minutes or so. It's in my rubbish pile. I also have a aspire zelo that didn't have a great life span. A few months. I have some i-stick rims I'm using and they are lasting. About 3 months old and still working/performing at peak performance. I'm not buying any more internal batteries since they will be tossed/or shelved. I don't think I can replace a battery on a internal one. However, I will keep in case of a complete ban and someone may need to play.
I had a similar experience with the Innokin kroma. Someone PIFed one for me to pass onto a veterans group. I liked the look, so I ordered one for myself. After 6 months, it barely holds a charge all day. On the other hand, I have isticks that are ancient that still perform top notch. So does my Aegis mini. I gave my SIL an istick 40 I bought when it was introduced, thinking it would die soon and he needed a toss mod for work. Darn thing is still ticking along. Lasts him a 12 hour shift.

I would wind up with 40 bubble wrapped bottles... figuring 1 liter is easy/less space... a liter lasts my wife and I 14 months, I have 13.5 liters.. so I plan on cutting down our mg in half over the next 7-8 years so we have a lifetime supply. I am borrowing freezer space from my brother-in-law for 4L in case my house burns down or the fridge gets sucked up in a hurricane. But 40 bottles would take up a lot more space with the bubble wrap... My wife is allowing me 1 shelf on our side by side and I do not want to impose any more than I already have with my brother-in-law as it started out with just 4 plastic bottles and now has migrated to more space due to 4 glass bottles with bubble wrap.
A liter lasts me ~4 years so mine is in 4-oz bottles. If you get the bottles in a case with dividers, bubble wrap is (IMO) not needed. Most of mine is in plastic "ammo boxes".

But I certainly understand the hurricane concern, which is why most of mine is not in Florida.

Hurricanes and flooding, just another speed bump in planning for the future :(

That's good to know! I have avoided internal battery mods since I stopped using Egos. I'd like to save the z-biip for later on, but worry about the internal battery giving up before I even use it.
Funny but I have old egos that take a charge just fine.......... Tried it for giggles.

What is it with those iStick 40's? My grandson had mine for 2 years as his only mod. Dropped it twice riding a bicycle. He gave it to me and I've had it for almost 3 years now using it every day and it's still fine. They just go and go. Must have energizer bunny batteries or something.

Seriously, I wonder what it is. Are there different quality batteries available?

Me too. I passed on some ego twists that have to be 6-7 years old. Still work. As do my isticks. Disappointed in the kroma and the little internal battery asmodus onis. Neither is particularly reliable 6 months later

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
Reo P67 squonkers,, just buy 8ml silicone bottles,, the ones i bought with the fill port are fine,, but the fill port is not a sturdy design,,, I had to seal it up with food grade silicone-----but the little lever to open it up is useful in pulling the bottle out.

As for 510 refill squonker bottle,, i have tried a few,, you dont want delrin threads,, you do want a gasket on the end to avoid shorting out your mod. The last one I bought has been perfect so far,,,, please note some have complained the bottle wears out,,, I plan to repair the bottle with my food grade silicone or convert it using any of my other feeder bottles,,, or find a bottle that fits,,, over time.anyway below is a pretty good product

    Thanks for the links!

I live across the road from a dirt levee built in 1930 that has never been maintained. The top of the levee is around the height of my ceilings. A couple of years ago the water got within less than a foot of the top. The interior is falling apart and water leaks through it. The city just agreed to fix it up to FEMA 200 year level, it's out for bids now and expected to be completed in 4 years. Wish I had somewhere else to stash some nic. I was thinking of having a stash bag ready for the nic in case we have to evacuate. Didn't have to worry about mods and tanks and so forth because they were replaceable, but now that might not be the case. Maybe need a place to stash hardware as well these days.

Must be, cause you can’t kill those suckers. He dropped it off the platform and it still works. I bought him 6 on sale when he decided he liked my ancient one... might be a lifetime supply (he’s 35). First one is still working. Good news is, 5 are still in my stash for his backups ;)

Don’t ask me how little I trust The Corps of Engineers. I’m two blocks from the Mississippi. Half my nic is in Alabama. I was in St Louis in the 90’s when East Alton flooded, here for Katrina. I feel your anxiety

    In the attic?

You know that might be a good idea. If the levee was just overtopped the attic would still be dry. But if the levee collapsed we could get a tidal wave coming through town and houses might get flattened. I might move my stash up there though. Now it's in plastic tubs under the bed.
