And don't forget some companies like Hohm Tech that started out making mods (Hohm Wrecker) has switched over and only make batteries now mostly for vaping.
Yeah, but as of May 2020, they could not be marketed for e-cigs, and trying to supply batteries to just the people who stocked up would be a dying market.

Either way, someone would probably step up with an adapter or do something... And as @markfm mentioned, if the only difference is capacity, then it will not matter.

They don't market to the vape industry they are a battery manufacturer even though vapers probably are their biggest sells.

Well here she is. I like it and I don't usually like dual batt mods. Mine doesn't tip over any more than any other but I have a zlide atty on it. Still sad about the starry night, might have to pay more and pick that one up.

Shouldn't because I just learned that 3 trees fell on my property for sale in Ky and now I have to pay to clean that up at the money pit.

I got 3 of those same color. But mine tip over. Could be because my desk isnt perfectly level. I dunno.

No doubt. Not sure anyone uses them in laptops any more, but power tools make up a pretty large segment of the market. That's why I said this part: "they wouldn't necessarily change the form factor on everything, making all the battery pack using industries redesign."

After all, 18650 just refers to the shape/size. So it seems a new tech would just mean that you might get double, triple, whatever mAh from a battery the same size. And battery makers would just continue making 18650's with much more power, since all the battery packs already accept those. What I was getting at is that I assume that the amount of power available wouldn't affect a mod's ability to use it, but was kind of hoping someone that knows this kind of thing might chime in to reassure us. :)
If the science would just move forward. On graphene A new 18650 model would last me about a week @30mls a day

I think someone's pulling your leg.;)
They're lithium ion (older ones are nickel metal hydride), but I don't think they use that form factor. These don't look like 18650's.

Yep. Acknowledged the correction a few pages ago.

I'm still amazed that they actually use 18650's. I just would've thought they'd scale something similar to an 18650 to a larger form. Just seems like there's a lot of casing material in 7,000 cells- maybe it helps with safety. But then, that just shows why I was asking someone else that really understands mod boards to chime in.

Maybe when they have all the new super efficient tech ready for market (1 min. charging, silica instead of graphite, "air" charging with rf), something the size of a AAA will replace our 18650 models, and we can just use a sleeve like the 21700/18650 ones available now. But you probably won't be able to charge on-board anymore.

That would be an ideal scenario if 18650's were to be phased out 20-30 years from now.

Unless your like me and just cant wrap your head around Ohm's law.
I'd bet using an online calculator you could be squared around with Ohm's law to the point of a mech being safe for you. If you want to try PM me and I will walk you through it.
