Bad idea. The rubber band will lose its elasticity and come apart after about 5 years and you will have loose litter in with your mod. Use empty tea bags which Im sure you can buy on Amazon .
In my house there's loose litter in with everything...

I personally don't think a little holiday backup is enough to write off a supplier but that's just me. It's your money. I'll still recommend EightVape 100%, they've worked their way into my #1 hardware supplier.
Same here. I had 8 8vape orders in Dec. 6 received, one due Monday (looks like it may show tomorrow[emoji106]), one still open.

Based on the order quantities I'm seeing on their site (changes in my order # across the days), and allowing for New Years, I won't check on my 27 Dec order until next Tuesday or Wed.

You can actually get silica dessicant bags a lot cheaper than buying all those different things to make it. Here is an ebay listing for 100 bags for $8.97:

100 Packets 3 g Grams Silica Gel Desiccant Pack Moisture Absorber Ship from USA | eBay

And that's just the first one I looked at. There are 10 pages of listings. So you should be able to get the exact amount you need at low cost.

I'm not writing them off personally. I just never needed them to begin with. :D They mostly sell the latest and greatest which I have no use for.

But they do have a terrible reputation. And they know it. That's why they use the high volume, low prices model. It redeems them to a degree .

But I didn't post my experience to deter others. I posted because others mentioned major shipping issues. I did make 2 other orders with them prior to this one that came through without a hitch. Mostly older merchandise on clearance except for the Aegis solos I bought. When I browse their site, I'm like....I don't need any of this junk LOL.

You'd take that back. :p

I need a lot more than I have, but I can't justify it right now. But I have to get more soon because they are in China. I have a bad feeling about buying vape from china.

If I get my 500 coils for $1...I’ll love eightvape forever.

No doubt, that's unbeatable. Actually, that's beyond unbeatable.. Too bad they didn't have Kanger SOCC or SSOCC coils for that price.

Mine are still fine. I don't put them in the mod boxes, I put them in the storage boxes.

For those of you waiting on Eightvape orders. They are based out Nevada correct? Our lovely state just instituted a 30% vape tax. They could have jumped on the bandwagon like nwvapes and quickly moved over the holiday. I too am waiting for my final order from them.

just learned more than I ever wanted to know about silica beads. LOL whole new game plan on buying rechargeable ones and I'm just going to put them loose in the tub and then put the boxes in the tub on top and the manufacturer says that's fine (the manufacturer of the beads) as long as I get the white ones not in the blue or orange. But if you get the blue or orange which they said should be fine but might discolor the Box the beads would change color when they're full and then you bake them or microwave them and they recharge up to five times. Apparently even though they say not to eat those little packets the white silica is labeled as a non-toxic non poison. And I checked that on poison control and it appears to be correct I wouldn't suggest eating them but ambient usage shouldn't be a problem.

Realistically though I live in Florida so they'll probably fill up completely within hours so maybe I just won't bother but I really want to see a whole big tub of silica beads for some reason

I'm leaving hardware for long term storage new in the box for now and putting those in dresser drawers. That helps market value in the unlikely event I want to sell some stuff.

The stash has more than enough hardware but I'm going to keep shopping and may be pick up something when the price is really right. Squonking is a recent discovery. I've only got a few original Pico Squeeze. Wish I had a few more protected squonk mods but choking on the price and not willing to buy any with problems.

FDA says they may intercept imported hardware. That's easy and obvious for commercial shipments but how good are they at spotting items in small packages?

I can only vape one setup at a time so how come I've got several drawers of accessories and bits and peices?

So that's why VNW i smoving. This is their second move IIRC.
From WA to NV now to KY.

This could be what's up with 8vape, too. If they implement a "floor tax" like other states, they will have to pay the tax on everything they have in inventory by a certain date from their retail side.

I'm not too concerned about moisture affecting my mods.
Even though I'm in Florida, they are always in a dry AC or heat environment.
Every once in awhile I fire up the 18 year old 486 computer that's been stored in the garage forever. No issues.
More concerned about the OLED screens going bad after 10 years, whether used or not.

I'm thinking the same thing, except if I'm selling on the secondary market, I'd rather test it before I send it out to make sure it works. And will sell as "opened and tested". This shouldn't affect demand for it in a scenario where it's illegal to buy decent stuff.

So I plan on keeping most of my mods wrapped in their cellophane but I plan on opening them to test them IF I sell them, before I sell them.

Some mods are shipped with silica beads bags, some aren't, but I think keeping them in their cellophane may be a good choice. Even if 20% of all my mods are DOA, not only did I still get a good deal, but it also wouldn't change how prepared I am in terms of hardware.

As far as the tax goes, you are 100% correct it is a 30% Floor Tax on everything. I am just speculating about a move.
