What're ya sayin'? That you actually didn't get the shot or that you only got the shot because someone else didn't show up to get theirs?

I took My Mom to get Her 2nd Pfizer Shot today. I have been Eligible for awhile, but have held off to see what the Magnitude of Side Effects might be.

Anyway, I asked the Gal who did my Mom's Screening Questions what type of Wait time there currently was for 1st Shots? She said She Didn't Know. But to go ask the Health Department Rep with the Orange Badge. So I did.

The Orange Badge told me it was Hard to Say. But If I was Eligible, and I wanted to, they would Vaccinate me right now. He went on to tell me that at the End of the Day, whatever "No Show Dosages" they had would have to be Destroyed. So if I had an Arm, he would Much Rather see them put the Vaccine in it. Verses into an Incinerator.

So I said Sure. Let's Go. And about 5 Minutes later I got my 1st Shot.

Somewhere out there
I got my moderna first shot yesterday and for the first three hours I was like oh I'm good there's no problem here. And then I started feeling like I had a really low-grade fever but I didn't. And it was actually kind of pleasant I was just kind of a little dazed a little sleepy kind of warm feeling but not like sick. And then when I got up to try to go to bed I almost fell on my .... I felt like I had just done like 50 squats while carrying eight milk jugs in my arms My legs and my arms were so weak. This morning I woke up and I feel fine. It was definitely weird but not what I would describe as flu-like. Either way it's totally worth it. I am so tired though like I felt like I was on sleeping medication or something.

One thing that I do feel needs to be addressed moving forward is protection for workers If this is going to be this sort of symptom even though I didn't feel particularly sick there is no possible way that I could have worked standing up at a job. I barely was able to walk to bed and yet I didn't feel sick. I understand that everyone has a different reaction some have no reaction but a lot of people have that weakness and there's no possible way that someone can go do their lawn service work like that
I totally agree, the fatigue is very real, I had a slight headache this am, but getting my energy back some. I was kind of dazed yesterday. I think tomorrow I will feel a lot better. I can't imagine what having Covid would be like, yikes!!!

Well I accidentally added my boysenberry mix to my Wedding cake juice tank, it is actually pretty good mixed but I hope I don't kill this coil! I'll blame it on vaccine brain fog LOL!

You never know. Some of the greatest inventions were silly lab mistakes. Like penicillin. ;)

If it turns out to be a Keeper Mix, you could call it "COVID-21".

LOL

Win-win. So happy for you and your Mom!

She has been Really Wound-Up about these shots. She wanted to get them. But still very Nervous.

She will Only invoke Her age with me Once in a Very Great while. But today She told me not Once but Twice that "When you become 90 you have a Right to be Nervous over some things".

:D

I'm glad she got the shot. And not surprised that she was nervous. I'm younger than she is and was nervous too. Novel virus, novel vaccine...

My dad got his at 91, did not have any symptoms and he got Moderna, both shots. My mom 87 said her arm hurt really had for days but no other symptoms.

With all the Hype and Back n' Forth Tug-of-War over this Vaccine, I'm Not sure how someone Can't be a Little Nervous about getting it.

But I, as well as My Mom, felt that Enough Time had passed, so it was Time.

Anecdotally, older people experience fewer side effects. Perhaps because their immune systems are not responding as strongly as those of younger folks. But it's just a theory. Nobody really knows for sure.

Good to Hear that Both your Parent got theirs.

I Hoped that for my Mom, that She would get the J&J shot. So She would Only have to go Once. But that's OK.

Pfizer is a better vaccine. Especially for older folks.
