Nothing wrong with that. I have for mixed with ml and syringes for years and I am not 100% sold on the scale yet. But I thought I would give it a go. If my mixes aren't the same as I am used to, I will go back to the mess.
:)
No real mess for me. I mix in 120 ml bottles for established recipes. Just a few syringes to flush out.
I keep 45PG/55VG mixed in condiment bottles to top up my mix bottles with so I get around 50/50 which is what I vape.

Just put all the ingredients minus pg/vg in a 120 ml bottle then squirt it full of the pg/vg mix up to the shoulder of the bottle. Screw on cap and shake.

I do the same thing and I will continue since it is easy and very little to clean up or put away. Scales are not my friend, lol.

I spent the day mixing with my new scale. Since I can't really get a good hold on pipettes, I used a syringe with a luer lock cap on the end. Didn't have to use it much tho because most of my flavors have drip bottles. That was the good part.
It took me a while to figure out what was going on with the ml vs the grams. What I mean is its ok for the flavors because it is 1ml to 1g. When I finished my first bottle, I still had way too much room at the top. So of course I had to figure out what I did wrong. Turns out the specific gravity of nic, pg and vg are not 1 to 1. I am sure that the calculators everyone uses already figures the correct ratio, but I wasn't using a calculator just my tried and true recipes (with %'s and ml's already worked out). So I repeated my first order to double check everything and it was the nic/pg/vg was what was short. I am old school so I had to figure out what happened and why because I question everything.

Mixing with the scale was uber easy and with no mess to clean up, it gave me time to read the last 12 pages or so cause we all talk a lot.....LOL
    :)

Try this calculator - New Calculator to try

You can add Grams to the display via the Tools > Options > Preferred mixing method menu option and it will give you the numbers you need for doing it with a scale. I mixed a big batch of a deadly sin clone today that I did a tester of the other day and made a 100ml batch of Menthol (CAP) the my roomie says she liked her first tank of off the 15ml tester I made 2 days ago. All I had to clean up was one small funnel I use for squirting in the vg/pg.

I was surprised my roomie liked the first menthol flavor/percentage I tried. I have 4 other small bottles of menthol testers for her but will be getting a bigger bottle of the cap if she still likes it after a few tanks. I already have $100 worth of flavors in my BCV cart lol.

Too much braining required when using the scales.
    KISS

Now if I was mixing very large batches then scales would be the way to go.

I do that for my favorite juices that i vape everyday. Some are in 120ml and a couple in 250ml bottles. Have quite a few. But like everyone else, I am getting tired of some of them, so I wanted to try some new ones. Hence, the scale. I have notes from recipes that I have found and want to try them before committing to larger bottles. Can't very easily tweak larger volumes.
    :)

    I do the same.

120ml at a time, add my flavours first (I do use Steam Engine just to double check), NIC, PG/VG then shake. 15ml for new juices I am trying, but same process.

I use 6mg syringes for flavours and NIC and a 50ml turkey baster for VG/PG.

I can mix up two different 120ml batches in a few minutes. Cleaning they syringes is the most time consuming. :)

Only thing I added to my syringes was a 50 ml glass graduated cylinder. Speed up my VG/PG. Syringes are fine for nic and favoring.

Premixing the VG/PG sounds like an even faster way to whip something up. Might do that and save a little time.

Those Ketchup/condiment bottles are great. Just measure how much pg you want into one. Make a mark with sharpie and label PG then tape over it. Measure in your VG then mark it's level and from then on just fill to the lines.
The spout makes filling your mix bottles a snap.

And for filling my unicorn bottles, etc from my 120 ml bottles....
A oral medicine dispensing syringe with a stopper that fits right in the 120 ml bottle neck.
    Got mine at Krogers Pharmacy.

I have 10 years of nic and atomizes but have a fair way to go with mods and I'm planning redundant nic I don't have yet. My stockpile is far far simpler than most of the ones I've read about. 3 liters of niic ($150), 10 SV rda's ($71.60), 6 Picos ($150), 4 VTwo minis ($135). Finally a redundant supply of nic from a different vendor ($150). $650 Total. My expectation is 10 years but if everything works better than expected it would last much longer. Of course I need other stuff to vape and it costs money but it doesn't need to be part of the stockpile.

I don't have everything on the list. I don't picture the door slaming shut in the next few weeks. The collection will be complete in the next several weeks though. I wanted to see everything we get to choose from but realize now I'm only stocking mods I've worked with and that's only the Pico and VTC mini. The SV rda is the only atomizer I use so no point in stocking others.

8-8 should be remembered as D Day.

Menthol (CAP) is this a flavor or the actual menthol made by capella's?

I have seen that calculator in the DIY forum, but can't download to chromebook. I will have to pull my computer out to do that. I will get to it eventually.. lol
    Thanks

Nice, I just use a whiskey flask funnel and pour mine currently.

it's just the capella's menthol @ 5% and 50/50. She hated the local house line 80vg menthol after using it a bit (made her cough, said it was too sweet) so I mixed it down with Mr E menthol (~33vg) 50/50 and she would still cough some, even when I took it as far as 2 parts Mr E and 1 part max vg house line. So far so good on the cap menthol so I made a 100ml batch.

So much cheaper doing DIY. 100ml of that DIY menthol cost me under $2. 120ml of the house line is $22 during their happy hours ($30 outside of happy hours). The Mr E before that was 60ml for $30....

Yep very nice the 5 ml syringe tip fits down in the unicorn bottle nicely. Quick no mess and no cleanup. Just poke the syringe back in the bottle cork and everything stays clean.
They range in price up to around $4. The krogers I got mine at had them for 1.97 each set.
I bought 10 sets and am set up for a while.

I bought some like this at WalMart for pg/vg dispensers. They work pretty good except they have a tendency to leak around the threads when squeezing. I wonder if these are a better quality?
I hope so. The ones I grabbed at bed, bath & beyond leak like the ones you mentioned on occasion. These ones I linked to will be in my next amazon order later this month.

Ahh the wal mart ones. If you remove the lid you will see that where the bottle is molded it is not smooth. Trim that smooth with a razor knife and leaking should cease.
