Well I thought my wife and I would come up short on our stockpile. After last Fridays events, turns out she will come up way short and I will come out way ahead. That's the silver lining on my storm cloud. All is well.

I learned something new today i have never heard about torching your coils before you install i think that is a brilliant idea! I ordered 5 mini torches today from ebay to try that Technique Thanks for the ideas

Meantime I've been searching 'cause I like my hemostats..dang it. I give up.
I figured I could use something like that plastic dip used to insulate tools
but ceramic. I found some ceramic dental modeling stuff but the price is prohibitive.

I figure I could coat my hemos in ceramic clay, but I only need a little not a whole
block of it unless I'm gonna get back into sculpture and now isn't the time.
So I'm just going to snipe an auction for some ceramic tweezers
'cause now I want some even if I'll never use 'em.
But I'm still going to pre-fire with a torch
'cause you can't teach an old fart new tricks

That sounds bogus to me. Packages from FT don't identify themselves as being from FT but from some guy whose name escapes me. I just checked out the group which is a closed group so I can't read that unconfirmed report but saw the Robino1 is a "friend" of the group. (and I refuse to apply for inclusion)
Perhaps @Robino1 can shed some light on that report.
What I can say for sure is that there's a lot of paranoia being fomented,
especially by US vendors out to sell their stuff.
The FDA is a legislative body not presently equipped to be inspecting thousands of packages coming in from China. US Customs does that and would likely issue a statement of intent if they were going to do that.
We have a month before this gets serious and two years for vendors to comply.

I have a couple of packages coming from FT, both of which were just processed through BEIJING EMS, CHINA. I'll let everybody know as soon as I receive them and I'm sure many others here will do as well.

I also have a liter of nicotine that I purposely waited until this morning to purchase from ChemNic. No age verification was asked for and the package was shipped this afternoon, 2 Day USPS no signature required for receipt.

I think it's time to chill.

Only bring stories of something that has happened to you, personally, or to someone you KNOW personally.

With all the people on ECF that are ordering from overseas, one of US will certainly get nailed just as fast as someone that knows someone that knows someone.

Until we know someone that has this happens to, it's best to not repeat something that was read on the internet that is not verifiable

I'm sure (well 99.9%) that if one of our members gets nailed and their package confiscated, they will be able to provide a screenshot of the resulting paper stating so.

Did you look on Amazon. I found quite a few ceramic screwdrivers there.

I guess someone got POd about the $ that was being spent to secure OUR future in vaping and decided to take a perma walk. Keep in mind that no bills were neglected. But I'm done stocking 4 sure and money will be saved. Was it worth it? I'm still trying to decide.

Yes. You buy a box of tubes. They're just like a cigarette with no tobacco. You put tobacco in the slot and pull the lever. Fills the tubes.
