What I would worry about is how serious are they going to make the enforcement in the future - will devices be allowed for sale in the future without potential ramifications... Opinions???
This is my opinion, but from what I'm seeing here, BT and the pharmaceutical industry is running this show. So, how much enforcement and just how much regulation we end up with, is entirely dependent upon their contributions..
The pharmaceutical industry now offers prescription vape pens, and how much BT wants in (wholly closed systems and highly proprietary components and liquid I figure) is going to be the basic limit of what will be approved.
I think they are planning on contributing enough to the crooked politicians that enforcement will be strict..
This is the future I see, and predict. The black market will however, open up for people like us. The kid's are making 3d printer versions already, the Chinese will make flashlights with 510 threads and removable parts, and sell tanks and coils to us under various names and auspices but safety at that point will be out the window for those who want to continue to vape in the manner that we are now accustomed.. But it will be illegal. (But then heck, moonshining is illegal to this day and doesn't stop people..And safety is always a matter of knowing who your buying from)
Where we go from there, is anyone's guess. But that is what I think will happen.. And who is running the show.
But I see a day where people will decide between doing as they please and not letting the government dictate life to them and risk the occasional stint in jail, or complying. There are always going to be those non compliant types around. People still go to jail over shine, I don't see the vaping industry as any different.
Someday it will be a matter of taste and also finance which route you take, but in the immediate future it will not be easy.
