Oh darn, didn't know that about FW butterscotch which I just ordered. I try to get stuff without so much of the bad stuff in it, but then there it is! LOL
I'm not the least bit concerned about diketones in my juice since the study that showed that cancerstick smoke contains up to 700X as much as vapor. Not a single reported case of bronchiolitis obliterans from smoking or vaping ever.
I'm enjoying multiple mouthgasms from vaping FW butterscotch right now.

Here's a screenshot of FW's .pdf from dropbox.
That last line concludes roughly on page 3 "if it's not on the list then it contains none."

Here's a decent explanation with references from a 2 minute Google - Is it true that vaping can cause popcorn lung? - Quora

"So the ordinary vaper of these weird flavored fluids would have to sit around vaping for roughly 160,000 days (i.e. FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY-EIGHT **YEARS**) to get just a one day equivalent exposure to the workers who need to work for years on end to get the dreaded popcorn lung. "

Hockey puck!......stick!......I'm as ready for any banning as best I can, but still have an itch to have vape mail every once in a while. Something new.......Something to look forward to.......A little bit of the Christmas excitement maybe.

What has surprised me though is that DH who vapes 0 nic rarely (a battery will last a couple of months) is also missing finding a package in the mailbox.
Well, order something quick for that man.

I just tried burning off a CLR coil and replacing the wick. Rayon squeaked, so good wick but I am still getting a burnt taste, did I not burn off my coil enough?? The coil heated up great and looked smooth and non gunky, I did not run it under water tho, just brushed it a bit to remove flaking. Opinions?? edit: took the new wick out, rinsed coil off and will dry burn again and see if that helps. New wick showed some black from inside the coil, maybe that was it?

Was your new wick saturated enough? Specifically, where it's tight under the coil.
I think you may have burnt your new wick.
I don't have/use that particular coil, but I think that would be a universal thing, not a type of coil thing.
I doubt you transferred old burnt material to your new wick, I kind of think you may have burnt your new wick.
See what the others think, but that's my theory. :)

I did prime it on the coil and the ends, but may let it set longer this time, re trying :)

    Yeah, see if that helps.
Sometimes when it's tight in that coil, I think it takes a minute.
That's what I do for my KFL after I dry burn. I prime it with liquid in that chamber, it will absorb quickly to the fresh wicking, then I put a little more in it, then reassemble. By that time, it's been good to go.

I'll let this new wick and coil sit for 15 mins at least LOL Not taking any chances :) It is cool to just re-wick and keep the coil working, I like the concept!
    I love it!!
Have you tried your KFL yet?? If not, you should. :)

I have not tried my KFL yet, that is on my list of things to do! LOL I am trying to get some wicking expereince under my belt :) Well this last wick first puff great, next one a bit burnt, I am using 50-50 juice and seems to be wicking a bit slow with the rayon, had no trouble with the factory cotton, hmmm. If I do a primer puff before second hit it is fine.

Rayon takes a while to get right. If there is too much in the coil it tastes funky. If there are parts of the tail that are too thick, it will wick to that area leaving the coil too dry.

It should pull through the coils with a small bit of tension. It is like it squeaks a little.

Maybe I left my tails too puffy, they get snipped pretty close with the CLR but they were like little pom poms :) I may try to snip some out.

too much tail, rayon tails should be trimmed a lot on a standard RTA (no idea what thing is you are wicking). On my various RTAs I trim 50 - 70 percent of the tails off. I trim the top and the 2 sides so it ends up with a bit of an arrow head shape. I did my Boreas today and she is vaping like a champ, no leaks. Rayon also takes a ml or 2 of vaping before it gets broke in and the full juice flavor comes thru.

I usually trim about 1/3 of the tails off in my RDAs.

After I trim the tails, I take a toothpick and lightly brush through them a bit to thin them. Not that I'm any kind of expert or anything--it's just something I read or watched somewhere and seems to work for me. :)
