So after reading through all your comments about rayon I've decided I can live without it. Can't really see any advantages for me to invest in any of it. I'm fine with the taste I get from my cotton. I've never rewicked a DIY coil and see no reason to start now. I've never dry burned any of my DIY coils and don't plan on starting now. My coils usually last me between 1-2 months. Somewhere around 120 ml of juice per coil usually. I don't build fancy coils. I guess one could say I've kept everything about my coil building simple and I like it that way :)

Coil building and wicking is just another area of vaping that we each have to find our own favorite way of doing things that works best for each of us as individuals. ;) :)

Agreed. I tried rayon in my same old 8 wraps 28g in a 1.7mm bit. Far too small = no good.
No fancy coils here, no rayon. Just cheap, good and easy.

I found apart from satisfaction (I guess), there is no need for fancy coils. The ramp up time was horrendous and battery life was next to nothing with some dual fused claptons.
Just far too much matter involved.
+ when you prefer mtl'in a kayfun on a mech @ 1.2, regular builds and kogendo is all I need.

Looking thru my Kayfun stash, I ordered this stuff blind since I had no idea what a Kayfun was LOL! But looks like it is good I did. I found a plastic barrel and chimney and a rounded top bell cap. I could only get the bottom barrel of the chimney on the base then screw on the bell cap to the base. Does this look right?? I have quite a few of the rounded bell caps and a few of the flat top bell caps. I am just not quite sure if only the barrel part of chimney is what is needed. I couldn't find a video of how to do it. I also found a complete full size tank in all plastic that makes it lighter LOL

Ok, am I understanding that you're ordering the individual parts to put together an atty for a fraction of the price of the clones, or did that all go over my head? (it happens, more than I'd like to admit. :D  )

If yoy already have a Kayfun base abd barrel and drip tip all yoy need us a bell cap $ 1.69-2.40

Yoy can get a complete Atty for $5.43-5.63 but if yoy don't like direct lung vaping grap some Lite Plus v2 base for $4,
Bell cap kit fir $2.40-3.00 and a complete MTL Atty for $7.

I got a few $5.43 Monster Mini V3, and a few spare Lite Plus bases abd i can switch back and forth as i want direct lung or Mouth to Lung.

Yeah, there have been a few that went that much with it.I use my Griffin, and go through 3.5ml a day,so over 2 weeks,i've been going roughly 50ml or so before i rewick,i could probably get another week or so from it,but by the 2 week mark,my coils are starting to get gunk built up,so i just stay around the 2 week mark.I could probably get another week from them, but never bothered to try haha.
I rewick about every 12-14 days too and my wick is pretty icky.

Have you tried rinsing the wicks? Its AMAZING hiw the rayon celana up Nice and white in 10 seconds.

I think this answers my question :) Base, barrel, bell cap, drip tip. I did find my extra bases but they are not near as nice for threading as the whole tank bases I got. But guess would do in a pinch! I have 12 Kayfuns I found, boy my buying was so frenzied I forgot what I bought! LOL

Ok I don't have that then, the stem I have is way too long. Well my attempt at the Ephro Kayfun was not successful since I cannot get the one screw loosened for the wire. Any tips? I about ruined the screw driver that came with it from putting so much pressure on it now the Philips end is almost pushed into the tube- ack! But this is a real eye opener, be sure to check your stock so you know it works!

Ok I picked a few of those chimneys and few more bases and flat top bell caps so I can use them. I see they are out of 5 pack bases at FT so I just got a couple more. Guess I will use my replacement base instead of Ephro right now, bummed about that stuck screw :(

I'll have to get one as all mine seem pretty cheap and even the screw driver kit I got has too big of heads. Well luck is my other Ephro the screw came loose, so back to trying this! I have been fiddling with this all afternoon and have not gotten anything else done! LOL
