Reason #872 to stock up on replacement parts....

Today I unscrewed the top from the base of my Subtank Mini over the sink to refill and the top of the rba goes kerplunk into the sink. See ya.

Thought the teenie weenie screw holding the RBA together was on tight, but I guess not.

No stopper and I am not taking my sink apart to retrieve a piece of a $6 RBA. Without the RBA top, the tank is useless though.

I have a few extra RBAs and was vaping again within a few minutes. :)

It should still be in the J part of the pipe below the opening...if you haven't run water through there yet. Get1 of these 2 things and you can easily pull it out:

1) One of those flexible magnetic tools that mechanics use to reach dropped metal things in/around an engine

2) Attach a magnet to a piece of string, cord, unbent metal coat hanger, etc. and use it down the drain to pull it out.

Otherwise, it's no big deal to unscrew just the 2 connections that hold that J part of the drain, to remove the J and get it. I'm a 64 year old lady and I've done it before. I'm sure you can, too! :)

Awesome. Those broken Fasttech Nemesis magnets just might come in handy!

OK, good idea in principle.... but the RBA top isn't magnetic. :D In any case, lost the magnets and removed the trap (yuck!) and my parts are all safe and sound.:thumb:

Yay!

Next time you are at the store cruise down the sink parts aisle and see if you can find one of those little flat plastic disks with the holes in them. I keep one over the garbage disposer hole after fishing my dental bridge out. There was no question about whether I was going to find that sucker and clean it off.

It doesn't stop any water, but unless something is really tiny, nothing goes down the hole if you drop it in the sink. I have one on the other side too, but it is mostly to keep the cat fuzzies from blocking the drain. These are easier to clean than the normal strainer/plugs and can go in the dishwasher.

haha, i got 2 of those in my cart and a few rta/rda but have fought off the urge to this point as I really need to let my cards cool off. Went out for my daily walk and couldn't resist the new rda urge so stopped in my local shop and grabbed a goon for about $27 out the door.

I have an authentic Tsunami 24 and love it on my mechs as a RDA. Mine doesn't have the window so I ordered the FT clone (With window) so I could use it for squonking.

I haven't got my clone yet, but I have seen one in the flesh and it seems pretty damned close to the authentic.

Did yours come with the hollow BF pin?

Yes, it did come with that hollow pin. Have not yet used it with my squonker kit, Movkin Disguiser.

I feel wire deficient now! LOL
You need more, 17 lifetimes worth of wire isn't enough, nobody is ever safe until they have 32 lifetimes worth of wire! And then... you'll decide that you really need a completely different kinda wire and start over again. Wheeeee!

loving this thing and now I see what all the rda love is about (have 2 others but nothing like this in terms of performance)... but...... got a dry hit on my fused claptons trying to see how long I could go on X drips (still not sure how many drips I can put thru the tip without a leak) so I will be rebuilding it tomorrow with some twisted SS316L to run it in TC mode.

That's quite a stash. I just picked up a couple of 250 ft reels, a 30 and a 28 from the LV sale. Didn't have much before that. People say you will be able to get Kanthal from non-vaping sources but you know what you are getting from LV. Going to a wire supplier would take some research and I'm lazy. It's so cheap anyway. I haven't calculated how long it will last me but probably longer than I'll be around. I'm lazy about changing coils as well.

One thing I worry about with large reels is having them unravel on me. Couple of weeks ago I lost my grip on an almost new 25 ft reel and it all came off. It wasn't that hard to get it back on the reel but I would hate to have to do that with a 250 ft reel.
