I need to check my other bases, another I have has the ok size screw but it is a bit wonky to screw in, but works ok. Also be sure to check the metal rectangle piece, where the coil goes over, above the insulator, be sure it is not cockeyed and sitting as it should, also be sure it is tightened down. The gold one I got was the one that shorted since it was cockeyed. Once I fixed it, it is working fine. Just have to look over the FT stuff :)
I got a KFL+ v2 where tge positive part of the deck was off 25-30 degrees. I unscrewed the 510 to straightener tge positive block and tighten the 510.

It is a smaller size only grabs at the last turn and it will not screw out, I have to flip the tank over for it to come out. Must be a little bit smaller size.
Do you have an Orchid bass, or Silverplay V1 base. Or possibly the Ohmega nano, try tge fill port screw out of one of those.

One of the gifts was a iTaste DRV. I'm impressed with it. Its a really sturdy, well made 12 volt pass though for vaping in the car without needing any batteries. It's VV and can handle up to 20 watts.

Looks like he got a very nice gift! Just in case you might be looking for another, I remembered seeing them here when I bought several Innokin MVP mods being Clearanced also. It's a great price now at $19.99:

Got my three KFL bases today, and only have a problem with one of them. On the one, the center pin doesn't stick out far enough from the 510, so have to get something small and thin to put under the head of the pin so when tightened down it sticks out further. Also the grub screw for the air adjustment is screwed up. I have a 2.5mm to replace it with, but I think mine is too long, have to find a shorter one. Other than that they are good. Actually, I'll try it w/o the screw, I never have, and it might be fine.

Received the Coppervape Mod and Origen Little clone yesterday from Fastech. The Coppervape is a very nice looking Squonker. I am impressed because it is so inexpensive and so shiny! lol. I also won an atomizer in the Gearbest contest, although I have never heard of this particular brand - ApePal Unique RDTA Atomizer? Anyone know anything about it or has used one?

Look forward to hearing what you think of the Coppervape. If I were still buying more mods I'd be trying one of those :) Congrats on your contest win at Gearbest. I've never heard of that RDTA, but there are so many out there now ;)

That's what I do. I just take the grub screws out as soon as I get them and toss them in a bag in case I need them later. I had heard so much about the grub screws working their way out and getting stuck.

I'm an extreme tootle puffer. And it's not too airy for me.

The one in the very center bottom with a flat head slot would be the center pin. A grub screw is like what holds a coil leg into a post. They are one diameter over their entire length and can have either an Allen head or slot head (most are Allen). I grew up calling them "set" screws. I only started hearing "grub" screws when I started vaping. ;)

edit: opl beat me to it.

Its the little screw that takes an allen wrench. Some take a little flat head screwdriver.
Thank you! :)

I *thought* the one I described was the center pin, but "grub" threw me off.

Yea, I worked in machine shops all my working life, and always knew them as set screws.
Until a year or so ago, they were all screws to me (household type screws). Only needed to know if I needed a flat or a Phillips head screw driver.
